Does anyone have any good skydiving pictures? I need some for my home gym, trying to get down to weight and I want to put some around the equipment for some help. Thanks for any help

I went to a party at Skydive Dallas last weekend. I was invited by Reginald, didn't see him though, but was a good party. Met with some guys and gals there that have NUMEROUS jumps. Looks like a good place to jump. I have a little more to lose before I can jump, especially there, 215 lbs. I am at 252 now. Lost 13 lbs in little less than 2 weeks. i have to get the funds available also. Shooting for a first jump end of April. I want a long freefall, base jumping dosen't really give you that.

That's one of the reasons I married her.

Wow! That is a lot of replies. Thank u all for your input. I am going to take care of my family first and foremost, but I am going to get into this sport. There are things I can do to make some extra money, but things with the house and family will come first. Right now I really want to get that first jump in. I know cheaper is not always better, but I have heard good things about the places I have said, but when you really want something like this and finances are a little short I tend to go to the cheaper way. Please understand this is not something I want to do just because it sounds fun or I'm looking for a little rush. I HAVE to do this as I said before it is what I have dreamed about ever since I can remember. I will find a way, and things may take a little time to start out, I'm fine with that, and family will come first always. The baby is 13 weeks along, a month ago I seen the baby on ultrasound, VERY VERY COOL. That is a really good feeling, I have to wait till about the end of April to find out what it will be. Again, thanks for the feedback.

That's the plan right now, to get the first jump in at least, it is driving me crazy. I have a couple friends that will go, I am aiming for the endish of April.

I know it is not the best time. But, I can't stand it anymore, this is the one thing in the world that I want to do more than anything, fly. I will get another job, find a good dz and trade A&P services. I'll find a way, I have a car I can probabally get $1000 for, need to fix the starter first. I JUST NEED TO JUMP!

Don't exactly have a lot of funds. I gotta figure out a way to come up with $1000 for that even, then drive over there and such. I got a baby on the way and I feel selfish for wanting to spend $1000 on this when there is so much more I need to do, with the house and such.

What is the cheapest DZ for AFF? I found one in California, Lodi, that is $1000 for the whole thing with all videos. There is on in Tulsa, Ok that is about $1100 no videos though. I live in Texas and want to go soon. Thanks for any help.

Thank you very much for the list that clears some things up I've been seeing around here. I just want to go SOOOO badly. I went to Spartan in Tulsa to go to flight school. They said do you have $10,000. NOOO! Well, can you come up with $100? What for? They said you can become a mechanic and go to flight school later. I took the bait and I am working on P-3 Orions at Greenville, Texas. I want to fly more than anything, and this is the closest I can see to what I want to do. The urge has been getting worse lately, and I am going to go the end of April come hell or high water. I have to drop some weight, but that is no biggy. Sorry about the rambling, just stoked that's all. I've been coming home every night and whating skydiving videos, I work nights. Do you all know how good you have it? Thanks for listening.

How do you know what kind of chute u would need? What do the numbers mean? Is there a way to determine what weight of a person it will hold? Lots of questions, I am going to go the end of April. I am trying to keep a look out for a good deal. Thanks.

Not too worried about the weight issue, that isn't too much of a problem. As far as the Peter Pan reference, that's one of the best ways I can desribe it, but I getcha. I don't know if I just replied to you only or the whole thread. How do you reply to the whole thread?

Hello all. I am a dreamer that wishes to actually go skydiving. I have been thinking about it ALOT lately, been wanting to sine I was about 13, now 28. I am going to this summer, just got to figure out the financing part. I watched some videos with the wingsuits. I WANT ONE! If I could do ANYTHING I would fly like Superman and Peterpan. This seems the closest thing to that. Very excited about doing this, I would jump without any hesitations, I have done it many many times in my minds eye. I have to lose 30 lbs. to get to the weight limit. Well, sorry for all the rambling but that is my story.
