Howdy, I may be completely wrong... Frequently am. I have had 3 Javs, one 1999 one, and two 02 models. The legstraps and whole harness are made from all-black (no yellow edge stitching) webbing that feels smooth. A Wings that I jumped, and a newer Jav Ive seen had a different type of webbing. It was 'rougher' to the touch and had yellow edge stitching. Just wondering what type of webbings were used, and why there has been a change between the two?

Id be very happy with 500 jumps from a lineset that stays in trim. Also, with non-cascaded HMA I could put the lineset on myself, instead of paying my rigger $200 to fit it (Aussie $). Though 250 - 500 jumps on a Nitro seems very short considering everyone I've spoken to that owns one has gone long past 500. That said, I could change linesets twice as often as a Spectra lineset and still break even $$'s wise on riggers fees.

non-cascaded HMA stays in trim for the duration of its lifetime and routinely lasts 1000 jumps on canopies like the nitro. The only downside to it seems to be manufacturers lose out on replacement linesets.

Anyone out there making non-cascaded HMA linesets for Pilots?

Anyone? I saw someone saying an Optimum 143 packed smaller than a Tempo 120? Any truth in this?

Does the Cobalt deserve mention amongst these canopies?

As i suspected I think im just being a pussy. Will chat to the canopy gods and landing on the rears.

I've done all of the checklist except for landing on rears. I jump a Pilot 150 and a few inches of input and she stalls with the associated unpleasant consequences. I havent asked anyone on the dz, but do all canopies have such a narrow margin for using the rears to flare?
-
Has anyone tried them all? Comments and comparisons between canopies?
