  1. I personally took my PC-5 down to the factory service center in rancho bernardo. For newer gear they rate the cost of the repair by each item that needs attention. On older gear ( I don't know how old ) its a flat rate. I dropped it off before noon and fed ex emailed me that it was in their system before noon the next day. I had the camera back in two working days total.
  2. When I deploy in a wingsuit I go to a closed wing arch, so I'm basically back in the start of freefall for a split second. My deployments could then be considered the same wingsuit or not and camera or not. I try to avoid the trap door effect of deploying from a fast flight. Since I deploy this way I don't rotate my bag gromet to pin and don't have cut corners on my containers.
  3. Three months ago while I was over at bonehead I put one of the first ones chris made on. Very comfy like the gunner and very light weight of course. The jaws or chin guard opens up to slide over your head then close up. They are cool and not just for tunnel rats.
  4. JP the Skydiver is a seperate entity from JP the Square 1 representitive. Multiple personality syndrome? And onto something almost completely different. If the Strobo products are in short supply, how does the manfrotto mount compare? That is in function and price? Similar, inferior what?
  5. Phree has video of the dirt dive. My hands were covering his eyes so that he wouldn't see anything he was not supposed to. You know he is young and impressionable and all.
  6. They are my favorite even though they won't put the double sided pimp into full production.
  7. As far as " keeping up" goes just like canopy flying its not just the suit. Its the pilot, that persons skill, their currency. And their desire to work at all of the above in this discipline and not just fly occasionally. Are you a match for the suit.
  8. Chuck has always been a full service BMI. Its what sets him apart from the other less giving so-called instructors.
  9. Steve, No problems with the zippers themselves. Although I've had the pull tabs break on both of my S-3 and my matter suits leg zippers. Now as matter of habit I remove the factory zipper tab and install a tiny metal ring from the hardware store and tie on a small section of pull up cord to both legs of both suits.
  10. Exactly so! Registration is now open here So The BBQ is now not covered by the registration fee and is an extra nine bones? When did this transpire?
  11. Yeah right, 1 car and four kids+ me on an island. That will only give you a vehicle stuck up to the axles in sand. Four kids who will learn to surf, go crabbing and fishing dressed like orphans from jungle book and a producer with a fat lip if they complain one more time that I'm not play correctly. The kids will have a blast that summer! Fuck the game, that would be priceless!
  12. There is already a vid posted in this forum of a guy doing with a base rig, Grey Fowler from Arizona .
  13. I think people like us have a higher drive because of our thrill seeking instincts.Quote Yeah,,..... alcohol has nuttin to do with it!
  14. Silly me, I thought that during the course of one interlude that it was expected to engage in at LEAST four or more of the said positions scoring "points" for each one. At least until either partner screams "hold it right there", until brakeoff. The only reasons for not turning these points is if performing in a small enclosed area, say a backseat, a closet sized bunkroom filled with gear, a small tent at rantoul. Or maybe I've just been getting the wrong message from adult videos.
  15. [i concur....see photos, not to mention the one that made the paper with me doing some groping....which i have hanging in my office at work btw. Sorry dont have that one on puter though Those couple of shots have to be the ultimate shots of Phree whoooping it up! Classic! Whoop it up little buddy.
  16. Doesn't the bourbon kill the larvae? Or so I hope.
  17. I did the same thing in the pond a few years ago. Alti said wash with clean water ( not a problem for you ) let it dry and DONT use oil to lubricate parts they run dry. Most of the workings are brass and were fine. The problem was the spur gear on the shaft the needle runs on got rusty after two months and became sluggish then completely inoperable due to pitting. I thought I did everything right then but what I would do now if I were you is send it back to alti and get it bathed in their cleaning solution and checked out.
  18. If an AFF jumpmaster is with you it feels like heavy awful shame. If two AFF jumpmasters are with you it feels like shame but probably only a fraction of the shame they are feeling. If you are off student status it is completely legal and so much fun. Kinda like chocolate or ice cream for retards. I do it sometimes when noone is looking.
  19. Damn JT isn't there anybody on the field that can help? No small airframe shop with the skill and tools? I recommend contacting HVAC suppliers ( just for info) about fabrication shops that do thicker gauge metals and that have shears and brakes. You are in the faux metal structure fabricaters capitol at least on the installation side. It may take you a bit of phone surfing. If you've already done all this with no joy you may try hot rod and custom Harley shops. Most shops will charge you a set-up fee since you only need one part and not hundreds. Basically $20 just for talking to you. Another alternative would be community college or high school metal shop programs. Walk in, talk nice and they may demonstrate their knowledge on a working prototype for you. And let us not forget the "Arteeeesttss" out there that work in metal. They are starving. I know its a PITA but how bad do you want it.
  20. Perfect, he will be pre-lubed for his stay in the county cell.
  21. Viking if you reflect on some of the pictures from Rantoul 2003 there was a lot of physical groping going on. Some self inflicted some was group grope. There was even some multi-gropes with the addition of bird-man stickers. without the FBI fingerprint database how can you be sure it was wingnuts and only wingnuts handprint on Liz's tee shirt?
  22. It's a madhouse out there at times! kolla Ok Kolla when is it NOT a madhouse out there? During a weather hold?
  23. [ but I would have to stay away from the front of the lens on any "Infinity" jump. Ah, just enable your camera's auto focus you will be fine.
