  1. There is no doubt this event happened. Not what I said. I said the "pic" was PS'd. That's all...... I could call some of my Air Force buds and find out for ya... I still have connections.. and I own the same flight gear they are flying with... although I retired mine recently....
  2. I do believe that is Photo shopped...
  3. Not to mention the damage you can do to your neck if you smash the ceiling. Getting floated of the floor in a manuever IS NOT ZERO Gs!. That would be NEGATIVE Gs and there is a limit that any plane should take of these. Hope yours isn't the one that went too far and no one knows. Good luck out there folks. Yep, an aluminum can takes only so much bending before it weakens....and ultimately breaks.
  4. I bought FS2004, and maybe it's just me, but it sucked versus FS2002! Let me know if it works for you... I've use FS2002 as a "before I fly" tool. I've flown "virtually" to airports I plan to visit in real life... works great.....
  5. You know you make me feel all warm inside, right?!! Did someone say "BEER"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Hey Wendy, you know what I'm talking about!! My fellow space enthusiast!! RTF - 114 baby!!
  7. Evidently I'm a prick. I mean a prickly, fussy, and annoying prick. It's really all about what the individual thinks something is worth to "them". I believe I'm a minimalist to a point. I also don't judge others. I forgot... I must be hard-up and hard-to-please also In honor of this thread, I think I shall freakin blow a wad of cash on booze and debauchery this weekend! maybe pick up some 1000 thread count F*#@!g sheets also!!!!

  10. ok Shari, I'll pick you up when I drive by...!! You might even make it home!!
  11. Don't apologize for shit! I spend my money any damn way I wish. My car breaks down and I see a Motel 6 and a Hilton side by side. I'm fucking at the Hilton on 600+ thread count sheets baby!!! Then I'll call a friend to fly down, pick up my ass and we will burn 50 bucks an hour of fuel to get my ass home!! Get some!
  12. Glad you asked. And I'll steal a write-up from a buddy of mine in Oklahoma City.... The Valsalva maneuver is performed by closing the mouth, pinching the nostrils closed and blowing air through the nose. This will force air up the eustachian tube and into the middle ear. This is not a dangerous procedure and should not be delayed until the pressure in the ears becomes painful, otherwise it may be extremely difficult to open the eustachian tube. Painful ear blocks generally occur when the descent rate is too rapid. To relieve this pain, a level off and ascent to a higher altitude is recommended. This should be followed by a slower descent, if possible. During the second descent, close attention must be given to the prompt use of equalization techniques. Prudent use of antihistamines and/or decongestants may also prove to be very helpful but should be used sparingly due to their compounding effect with hypoxia.*
  13. from the window of my flight to Hawaii yesterday!! suckas!!!!! So, it's Oahu today, and then we think we are hitting Maui on Saturday....blah..blah....
  14. Kauai I wish! But no, I'll be on Oahu for a week. Friends of mine are stationed at Hickam, so it'll be sun, water, golf and fun there! We all have villas on the beach the last two days.... pack your bags.......I'll send a ticket....
  15. The popping and/or "clicking" you feel on ascent has exactly "zero" to do with earplugs or eardrums.... That clicking sound is the eustachian tube "snapping" open, near the back of the throat. It's entirely safe to wear earplugs (and adviseable) on ascent and during freefall. Additionally, DO NOT valsalva on ascent, only only descent. Ears clear automatically on ascent or anytime there is a reduction in atmospheric pressure. Buck out.........
  16. Counting down till vacation. 5 days and I'm off to Hawaii......I'm gonna drink that state freakin dry.... And Houston is one hot sumbitch today.... Buck

  19. I bow gracefully to you Skybytch...... But I still "ain't" changin So, whenever I hear the new skydiving acronyms being thrown around, I can still grumble...... Have a great Friday!!
  20. I believe you are correct. Ain't know way a jumper should be called a Canopy Pilot. That's just wrong....... Additionally, (I'm jump number handicapped, but I've been around the sport a long ass time ), I remember when there was this guy out doing a daffy, and now everyone's calling is "Free Flying". So, let's bring the sport back to it's true, old school, grassroots, terminology. RW not a fucking bellyflyer CRW not CF Jumper not CP AFF not AFP Safety Meeting (the kind where ya go to the end of the runway at night to have)
  21. Now that you say it, what the heck is a: - Canopy "pilot"? rhetorical question of course. Buck
