No Pictures Yet ???

amen to that!!! And I'll 2nd that 2nd. Definately a Troll.
-
Wow married a couple months now and already acting Old and Crabby.
-
Well I guess I'll go first then.........If your'e buddies can't bust your balls who can??? Maybe you can come down and Teach me how to swoop that pond
-
There are Rumors about a 100 x 300 foot swoop pond at Raeford, being built.
-
I'm Down for it..........I've got $250 for the Pot. Don't know what Colin means about being rated, but I've been on my share of Pylon Races. Organize it an I'll be there.
-
You know I have to agree with Colin here. He's betting $2500 which says "Hey I know I'm going to WIN" Betting a helmet says, "I think I have a chance at Winning, but in case I don't, I'll just bet for a helmet, cause I can afford to lose that". Sorry..............I call it how I see it. On another note: Maybe this should grow into a Space Games Anniversary, with a everyone who wants to compete throwing money in the POT, Winner takes all. You could have elimination rounds 4 racers at a time??? Oh and Rules that don't change race to race and honest judging, of course.
-
Just to be clear and to give proper credit.........We did have some Talent Show up, like Simon (Bones), Benji Rogers, and Mick Nuttal, but none of the locals that I would have expected to back it going fwd. Regardless..........It was fun and challenging. I just can't continue to support it on my own. Hopefully someone else will start organizing something.
-
Oh Come on man...............This has nothing to do with your issue. Please stick to your own thread. Will a Moderator please address this?

Freefliers using full face helmets.....question for you.

***I'm already hot and sweaty, a few more minutes doesn't matter. *** Are we still talking about helmets ??? -
Thanks to all who committed to Jive Jam in 2008, I hope you found it enjoyable and challenging, and I appreciate your support trying to help advance Freeflying in the Carolina’s. Unfortunately we did not get the support I was hoping for from the Advanced Freeflyers in the area and without them Jive Jam cannot be successful. I’m really a Nobody in this sport so I needed them to draw any interest and provide the true guidance needed to advance our Intermediate community in the area, but it was not to be. I still plan to jump at Raeford and train at Paraclete, but will no longer be organizing any Freeflying Events or Record Attempts. My Family is growing again and I have a 2nd Child on the way (Due June 2009), I just won’t be able to commit to organizing anything going fwd. I hope that folks will continue to challenge themselves and work toward advancing our discipline in this region. I know the economy and decline of our sport will make it difficult, but if folks make an effort to put events together I’ll definitely support it. Thanks again for making the Jive Jam Events that happened fun, and I wish you all the best. Harry P

I'm being sarcastic of course.........
-
Nope.............REAL Free flyers have no interest in Belly.
-
Ha........Yeah your'e proabably right. Hell a 4 way Belly jump is probably really hard for a free flyer. Also synchornizing the belly to sit transition, is probably equally difficult. Hey Simon............Shut the Hell Up !!!
-
kind of like your 175 jumps?
-
Yes I'm certain that the 23,000 jumps next to Kirk's profile is inaccurate. It's probably more like 25,000 + by now right? But what does Kirk know.........He's just a Tunnel Rat anyway.

First time on the Katana 120..
hparrish replied to EXTremeWade's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Wade thats not a fair comparison. Your weigh like 98 Lbs with gear. So no wonder you get back from a long spot on a 120. What are you loading it at like .5:1 You look like a chick packing when you stick your ass up in the air. I've see a couple guys talking about the chick with the nice ass, then they figure out its Wade and his Ass Milk. Barf......... -
Choosing initiation altitude at different dropzones
hparrish replied to sabrepilot25's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I think its pretty common knowledge that higher elevation DZs require extra altitude. I know when I'm at Lost Prarie or Tahoe I bump my initiation height up, than when I'm in NC. I don't think there are set numbers such a 750 feet at 0 Feet Elevation and 1100 feet at 5000 feet elevation. I think that is determined by the individual pilot and the wing they are flying. -
thats a valid point.
-
I don't think thats what Simon is saying. It's easier to build a 20 Way round on the belly. It's much harder to chunk a sit round and and build from there. I think he's asking why not just go for the harder attempt.

You get what you pay for............paying for tunnel time is not paying for one on one coaching. You are only paying for an instructor to make sure you don't hurt yourself. But I think $1-$2 per minute for a Tip if the Instructor hops in a does some advanced Sit Flying, Transitions, or Head Down coaching is more than appropriate given most coaching rates are about $200 per hour. If you are expecting in depth one on one coaching then pay for coaching. Thats where the tunnel instructors earn a real income. I usually pay for coaching in advance before I go into the tunnel so tipping is not an issue in that case. I have about 1300 Freefly jumps but that has done nothing for me in the tunnel. I'm flying HD in the tunnel now after about 12 hours of tunnel time. But I would not be that far along if I didn't get coaching.
-
Thats Great..............What a Fun Idea.
-
I think its a waste of money to buy a helmet that cannot be converted into a camera helmet in the future. Especially if the idea of flying a camera is ever going to be a consideration. Nothing says you cant buy the Camera helmet without the camera enclosure, or buy both and add the camera later.
-
Great see you there. I'll also be at the Tunnel with Simon Friday and Saturday night.

Final Jive Jam Event for the 2008 Season is in 2 Weeks. Jive Jam # 8 – 2008 / November 14-16 / Raeford NC There will be no State HD Record Attempt as attendance this season has not been consitant enough to support an attempt. The Unofficial NC State Record is a 14 Way, maybe next year we can top that.
