I guess it could have been worse... When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

You mean it hasn't washed off the side of the mountain yet? When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Funny, I happened to walk into my brother's 3 or 4 days ago. He had Turner Classic Movies on & they had just started a 10 or 15 minute "filler" between movies about the skydiving stunts & filming of The Gypsy Moths. Fairly informative & fairly technical without information overload, along with being fairly entertaining. When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Shameless plug for a friend. You might enjoy some. http://www.youtube.com/user/sueraymond When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Funny, I was raised on pies like that; cooked in real coal ovens. I didn't like them when I was young because the crust was so crispy. As I got older it seemed pizza got softer & mushier. Now it's a struggle to find one that is, IMHO, "done enough." After 5 years the local place still isn't sure about me when I order a pie & then tell them not well done, "burn it!" Usually it's "almost" done. The problem is pizza ovens are gas hogs. It would just cost too much to keep one at coal oven temps, so instead of the pie being done in 5-6 minutes, it takes 20 & comes out soft & limp. Damn, now I'm going to have to drive into the 'burg. If you ever want to try pizza that comes out of the oven that way, & you're in or near NJ, let me know. There's a pizza shop in Trenton that rates in the top 10 nationally for thin-crust (couple years ago they were rated 2nd behind an ancient place in NYC). It's visually one of the ugliest pizzas you'll ever see, it's crispy on the bottom, bubbled on top, kinda round, & there's always a small piece cut-out of the middle, but it's heavenly. They've been in this location for at lest 60 years, & on Friday & Saturday evenings there can be lines up to 25 people long waiting to get in, STANDING IN THE RAIN! DeLorenzo's?? We go there for lunch during the week. Yea, the one in the 'Burg on, what is it, Revere? [edit] Nope, Hudson near Swan! NOT the one in Robbinsville! Some day I'll tell the story about the New Mexico gal having her first "tomato pie" in Trenton. When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

New Egypt, just the other side of McGuire/Dix. Ahhh.... the bustling metropolis... Yep! Centrally located, yet you have to travel 20 minutes to get ANYWHERE. When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

We've just had a steady, soaking, rain, but I see where a few good ones went over you. Looks like you might even get a break soon. I'm still waiting, & it may be late this afternoon before I can get the garbage out to the transfer station & not get too wet. Otherwise there seems to be no end to the low scuzzy clouds moving east to west while the high scuzzy clouds move west to east. It sounded good so... You made me look, so here: http://www.google.com/search?q=rumaki+recipe&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Don't know about where you are, but it's Saturday morning here. That means we're just becoming coherent after Friday night. Add the fact that it's raining here, AGAIN, and the earliest it looks like we'll be out of this constant threat of rain we've been in for the last 2 months is next weekend... maybe. Seriously, we haven't gone more than 3 days without rain for at least 2 months here. That might normal for the Pacific northwest, but it's damned unusual for NJ! My lawn hasn't been cut in 6 days, it's rained for 5 of those, there's standing water in a couple spots (soil is 6 inches of topsoil then sand, so it does drain), & it needs cutting again. Last week it took me 3 hours to complete (usually only takes 1.75-2). When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

On the one hand () this creates quite an interesting mental vision.

Why, you said it yourself: MAINSTREAM. Don't you know that the majority of radio stations out there are owned by only one or two companies? Don't you realize that it's in their ADVERTISERS BEST INTEREST that they keep things "dumbed down" so that they can appeal to the lowest common denominator! BTW, it doesn't matter what the format is but it seems the most common is "light rock" love songs by women for women working in the office, capable of bringing on a diabetic coma in a matter of seconds it's so sweet... It seems your only alternative is either on-line, satellite radio (XM/Serius has at least 4 or 5 different C&W stations), or download to your own personal listening device. If the kids are going to be with the father, then I'm stuck I got no idea what you could do with a sexy woman on a rainy weekend, how about checkers or tiddlywinks. Or a nice friendly game of strip poker?? ! Lucky! Kindly get your mind out of the gutter. Our V-B isn't THAT kinda guy! REALLY! I think they should find another couple to play with. Think of the possibilities: Bridge, canasta, pinochle... When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Upper right white van (dotting the "I" in your last pic). Just below & to the left is I'm sure a 1970 Superbird in blue (to the right is a burnt orange 1970 color & then white with a black hood, possibly a roadrunner or Coronet R/T 440/6bbl). Bottom left says 1958 Chevy 2-door wagon to me, to the left of the Superbird is a 68-71 Ford or GM full sized wagon. I'm willing to bet it's the 1971 or 72 NASCAR Winston Cup race. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Times_500 When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

I keep coming back to a white van in pics 4, 5, & 6 (lower right) that looks like a 71 or later design. Just below this I think I see a 70 Plymouth Superbird in B-5 blue (I see the wing out back & the black-out on the nose). When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

I pride myself in being able to "car-spot" backgrounds in pix & movies, especially earlier 60's to mid 70's, & I just can't get a read on these pix. If I assume they are Ontario Motor Speedway (Cal), & if I assume what I'm seeing lined up three-abreast on the track are Grand National/Winston Cup stock cars, then this could be anywhere from the earlier 60's (62 or 63) to about 1972. A picture of the cars on the track could date the photo without question, but even a clearer shot of the parking lot would help narrow it down. funny coincidence about the other thread and yes it was. Our plane was an italian build and took forever to reach altitude. The 'Mocchi at United? At least there was some room to get comfortable, unlike Lakewood's older 182 . When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

"... when her father saw it, the trouble started," Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws quoted the (tattoo artist) as saying. Sounds like the Belgian equivalent to the US redneck's, "Hold my beer & watch this" then Daddy saw it & suddenly it was someone else's fault!
