  1. Quick search turned up Viking as the last person to approve photo uploads. Is that still the case? ZC OG
  2. I have a wings are here are my thoughts: Stainless-waste of money, besides looking nice and shiny the regular ones are just as good. In fact, several people I know that have wings have had issues with the stainless on the legs straps (slipping) and have to send them back to fix, or replace with regular ones. RSL- good for lower jump #'s, but if you plan on jumping camera down the road your just going to disconnect it anway. It's a cheap enough option to get and can be used as a selling point if you ever sell the rig. Hackey- Get a PUD handle. If your getting into freeflying, the PUD handle is tight and never moves. You can still get this with a throw out PC, just with the PUD handle. Plus alot of other freefliers with hackys are jealous of the tight, clean looking PUD. And looking good is the first priority, right? CPC-Get it. Even if your not jumping a pocket rocket you dont want a non collabsible PC dragging behind you on final, it looks too AFFish. Spacer Foam- Yes, and back foam. I got both and my rig very comfortable, this is good for 10+ jump days and high pulls. Cut In-Yes, if your getting into freeflying it makes the rig fit your body better and IMO more comfortable than a rig without. Skip the embroidery, piping, special colors and all that other bullshit and buy more jump tickets. Hope this helps.. ZC OG
  3. Yeah i guess the GP comparision was a bit of a strech, it sounds like it won't ever be physically possible to fit all the necessary technology into such a small package, but one can dream. I guess my best bet would be to go with a very light bodied SLR, as I can't do much about the lens weight. Anyone know what the smallest or lightest SLR body on the market is? I agree that the stills from the GP is not the quality i was looking for, and i would like to use this setup for possible tandem video production in the future. Thank you all for the suggestions, i'll check them out. ZC OG
  4. So when are we going to see a compact still camera that produces high quality shots at a resonable price, similar to the GP for video? I've been contemplating a new digital still camera but the options seem limited. The SLR's are great but they have considerable weight when combined with the lens and video set-up. I want good pictures but I don't want a shit ton of weight and I dont want to spend $1,000 on just the still setup. I know the small point and shoots can be cracked and modded for a biteswitch connection, but the quality compared to SLR's is weak sauce and sluggish fps speed make it not worth the effort in the first place. Any thoughts/suggestions? ZC OG
  5. Another TBTB. Looking forward to seeing you on the SoFPiDaRF page, cool guy. ZC OG
  6. Thing is you don't always die, a lot of times you pound in just hard enough to paralyze yourself or hurt yourself so bad you regret it for the rest of your life. So step up bro, consider jumping to a velo next since that's your natual progression path. Typical TBTB comment. ZC OG
  7. D.B Cooper....I live in Washington somewhere...no "home" DZ...and you're right. More like D.Bag Cooper ZC OG
  8. Until you start citing sources and stop hiding behind your highly creative profile I say, you sir, are full of shit. ZC OG
  9. The extent of Pastrana's long list of injuries were due to motocross and FMX, solo sports done on closed courses. When he's throwing backflips and 360's on his Suzuki he's not putting anyone in danger but himself. I dont know if this guy did a hop and pop or not, it's not clear by the OP, but people that lack the skill for HP wings that fly them with other people in the air, well then it's the equlivent of Travis hurling his bike off a kicker ramp into the crowd and hoping it doesn't hit anyone. It's not an attitude toward injury, it's an attitude toward reckless people that can make a day at the DZ a painful/deadly one. ZC OG
  10. Props to STP for hosting a kick ass boogie. I fuckin love that place. ZC OG
  11. Here's Felix explaining the "Brake Parachute" An electronic sensor will calculate anything more than 3 g's for 5 seconds, then deploy the brake. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2010/05/17/intv.baumgartner.skydive.cnn?hpt=C2 Still have not seen a date or location for the balloon launch.. 12. Thats b/c most wingsuit fliers have bigger ego's than wingsuits. ZC OG
  13. Do you have the link? You mentioned Delaware...was this at Delmarva? ZC OG
  14. If you come over to Skydive Delmarva, you'll meet plenty of new friends to jump with! Skydive DMV offers AFF and Tandem, and were only about 35 minutes away from the beach ZC OG
  15. Looks like everyones suspicions are correct, video has already been removed by the user. ZC OG
  16. This is what we refer to as a "419" or "Money Mule Scam", pretty obvious it's Fraud, but so many people fall for it... These types of scams are all over the FDIC's radar.. http://www.fdic.gov/news/news/SpecialAlert/2009/sa09185.html ZC OG
  17. Step up man, it's time for a Velo. ZC OG
  18. I'll have to respectfully disagree, i think it's drop dead sexy. (See far right in attachment) IMHO, I bought a pair of deepseed freefly pants last year and it its the biggest waste of money. I jumped them about 30 times and now they are at the bottom of my gear bag. Save up a couple extra hundred bucks and go with a Vertical or Liquid Sky freefly suit. You wont have to deal with jumping long sleeve shirts and your flying will progress much faster. ZC OG
  19. Which ever one is down for a Safety Meetings. Alot of my questions reguarding safety topics are usually answered this way. And if at 30 jumps you don't know who's down for a Safety Meeting, then you and your bus of a canopy are SOL. ZC OG
  20. I've gone through about 10 pairs of goggles in the short time I've been jumping and SORZ have been by far the most disappointing. My beef with SORZ is the shitty foam seal they use. They are great for about 10-15 jumps, then the foam begins to peel away from the goggle making them absolutely useless. I’ve tried to jump them even with a little bit of the foam coming off near my forehead, and it was enough for the wind to get in and send my contacts flying. ZC OG
  21. Cruv-Z are hands down the best goggles for juming with contacts I've come across yet. http://www.lockitt.com/AccessoriesEyewear.htm Scroll about halfway down and check out the "Riding Glasses" only 20 bucks for a pair. I've found that they usually ship with these with a cheap head straps, so as long as you secure that strap with some Gaffers tape you can tighten them down real good before exit. A couple of us at DMV have this set-up with no issues with contacts coming out. ZC OG
