I can't believe no-one has posted this one yet! (My hunny insisted. ) Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Hunny, you're playing my favorite songs! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I LOVE that song. I don't even care. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Of course they do. Do you disagree they should? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I want to ride with you!

This one freaked me out being I was four years old when it came out and I LOVED Alice in Wonderland. I no longer LOVE Alice, but I still love Tom Petty. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I see how they are not different. I think the difference is the "feeling". It would seem in the former one believes they have control whether one or five lives are at risk. Technically five lives are already at risk, but in the former it "feels" like the choice is yours. In the latter it "feels" like the choice is not yours. Five have already suffered life-threatening injuries (vs. the five that were not yet injured, but would no doubt have been in the former) and one has a very good chance at life. It would "feel" more like you were killing someone intentionally (in the latter) vs. saving five people intentionally (in the former). Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Do best to save all lives, this includes tissue-matchmaker. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Some good advice here. A one-year subscription is only 100 reward points so I get the magazine every year. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Actually that line of thought is so yesterday. These days you're damned if you do something and damned if you don't. Best to just do what you can live with, methinks. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

At face value if the question is risk one life or five, I'd risk one. It seems the obvious choice unless one is in a "the world is over-populated" sort of mood, in which case the morally correct thing to do would be to save the planet and axe the fiver. At some point in time, a member of the other two teams annoyed me--specifically "the grandson" and "the dad". From what I can see from an earlier episode I caught and last night's, I would agree both seem to have changed for the better.

Me, too. I LOVE TK & Rachel. This is the first season I've ever watched this show. I've missed a couple episodes, but I've seen enough to know TK & Rachel are most-deserving.

I'm surprised you weren't up anyways. Billy had his first done last year. We got some awesome photos! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

If one is so worried about being/not being uptight, one is more uptight than they think they are. There's little wrong with that, that doesn't interfere negatively with one's desires or contribution to society. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Oooo. Oooo! What's the prize? If it's not something I want, it would just be a hassle to deal with anyways, so it's best I know ahead of time to plan accordingly. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I think it needs far more questions to be accurate. I wouldn't hesitate to call myself anal retentive, and not just a little bit. But, I think it's a good thing. I'm biased, of course. But, studies show organized individuals lead happier lives. I don't have "rituals", though, in the commonly-understood definition in relation to OCD. The only one I can think of, off-hand, is pressing the alarm button at least four times after it's set to make sure it's set and set for the right time. I can't seem to rest unless I've checked it several times--but there's no specific number of times I need to check it. It's an interesting story, really. And I'm excited to share. Thank you for asking. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Pussification of This Country -A Different View
PLFXpert replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
It's been a Christmas-time staple in my family since it came out because my grandma can't tolerate anything but a feel-good, sugary-sweet movie. The bonus is, this one is well-performed, quirky, charming & funny. I like a variety of movies, but I admit I'm a sucker for "French Kiss", "Cutting Edge", "Steel Magnolias" and more still! I blame it on the pussification of this country! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

Well it worked out well for Sandra Bullock so it MUST be OK. I think she even got a trip to Florence out of it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

A legal marriage isn't necessary for a lot of things people think it is--but it makes some things easier. For me, the only instance I have considered might be cause for a legal marriage is a life & death situation. I wouldn't want there to be any complications getting in to see Billy if God forbid something happened. B/c I don't know if I'd happen to have a piece of mail, mortgage coupon & a desposit slip for our joint accounts on me to prove we're life partners. Although I'm not sure a legal spouse does anything other than run in and tell whomever they're the "wife" or "husband" anyways, and that's likely what I'd do. We have living wills and Billy gets to pull the plug. But, I'm sure there's more immediate instances when a decision might need to be made by one of us and I'm just not sure how all that works. I haven't looked into it and I probably should soon. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
