  1. You'll have to forgive me, I was a bit under the influence last night--I was referring to it being true I NEVER read those types of posts in the women's forum in their entirety--if at all. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. I'm saying! I mean I actually read the whole thing! And I--like--never do that in the women's forum. It's funny 'cause it's true. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  3. Awesome! You're still one of my favorites. Cookies for you!
  4. (Since he thinks posting here is silly--I'll speak for my hunny: ) His voice, the fact that everyone LOVES HIM, and that it didn't me take long to know exactly why! Billy is amazing--but you'll never hear him say that about himself. Kelly-bell once called me "starstruck". And she was right. And I still am.
  5. (I'm with you, but on a totally unrelated subject.) Gawain, I hear ya, hunny. Someone could have/should have/would have told her before this particular Invitational. But, she could have investigated such, as well. So, tit for tat. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. I am. And those who understand that might also understand what I was getting it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  7. Then why do it without a permit? It's conceited for us to expect whuffos to understand that it's not a huge deal and he is (likely) not putting anyone (but possibly himself) in danger. My comparison might have been "weak" in your opinion, but it seems to me if people pull permits everyday to do WAY more ordinary things, it shouldn't be a big deal to at least attempt to pull one first before jumping off the Empire State Building. 8. Then he could have said nothing at all. What he gave instead was a declaration. I'm happy about said declaration. I don't understand the whole "put on a disguise" thing. I don't care how long he observed street lights. People have to pull permits to build a damn detached garage in their own backyard. They don't put on disguises and pretend they have no idea who built it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. "Tit for tat" as someone else said. I think his above quote is a good thing. Story & video here. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. I will say, I was always allowed a drink or two and often drank with my parents. To each their own--as for me I think it was a good thing. I never felt "rebellious" having a drink at a party. I never felt the need to "get wasted". I never felt "cool or special" for having a drink "behind my parent's back." The car rule was the same, though. I can matter-of-factly say I have never once been behind the wheel of a car after so much as one drink.
  11. What I meant was: Are there any possible instances you see where such a position (oppose cloned meat, support stem cell research) might not be hypocritical? At this point, my question is rhetorical. I'm SWAMPED and unfortunately do not have the time I did yesterday for picking brains. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. That would never happen in my car. I'm anal (but at least I'm funny about it. ) It's the way to be. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. I'm saying--I couldn't have worded it (the ad) better myself! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. Holy shit, you changed your weird-multiple-eyes avatar! Good call! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. It's awesome! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. This is TOO cute! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. If we can agree whether or not cloned meat is "OK to eat" has less to do with genes and more to do with diet, environment, treatment, use of antibiotics, etc., then it would seem the FDA approving it for consumption is merely the catalyst for the "real issue". The real potential issue--as it seems to me--is the diversity concern. I wonder what the industries' plans are in that regard? It is (mostly) for the latter reason I am not without concerns of the ramifications of cloned meat. Either way, I won't be eating much meat or dairy--cloned or not--until my fore-mentioned issues are addressed & refined. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. My Lord, she's slowly taking over the world! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. Do you believe it would be hypocritical to oppose cloned meat, but support stem cell research? Why? I'm not for or against cloned meat as of yet. My main concerns with the meat industry have little to do with whether the cow is a clone. We've been "fucking with our food" long before we started cloning it. If the status quo (diet, environment, treatment, use of antibiotics, etc.) were greatly improved upon, I'm not sure I'd have a problem eating meat--cloned or not. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. I didn't want to assume and appreciate the clarification.
  21. She's hilarious! She doesn't come on until 5 p.m. in my area. If I leave my office, I'm usually back by that time. The first 15 minutes is always the best! I don't care much about most of the celebs and usually do some paperwork during that time, but I love when she has "real people" on.
  22. It's a lot. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  23. That wasn't my statement you replied to. But in regard to your response: What are you thoughts on the conclusions you quoted? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
