  1. I only got through the first two minutes. WTF? I don't think MySpace is the problem. Where did the child get the idea it was OK to cuss, throw-up the middle finger and ask someone to die? Er, "fucking die" as it were. MySpace merely adds to the problem. I still have yet to visit MySpace for a second time. The first was a couple years ago when a friend e-mailed me with an "invite". I thought she was having a party. THAT would have been cool. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. I like you. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  3. I'll concede while I compared many possible ways, I did not compare also to a travel agent. If it's all you say then it's worth checking out next time. In fact, I'm getting ready to plan a two-week vacation that includes CA wine country later this year. I'll consult a travel agent and see what they can work up for me and compare to what I work up myself.
  4. Yup. That would piss me off. Muenkel is right about AMEX on all accounts. Like Turtle, I've always spent the time checking every method of booking a travel package and comparing first. I've used Expedia once and will definitely give them another try. We did utilize their customer service and we had really great response & service from them. Everything worked out really well for us--particularly the savings--except the hotel. It was supposed to be a four-star hotel. I've used outhouses nicer than their bathroom (and roomier!). But all of the advance ticket-purchases we made were also a great deal and worked out really well. I find it's a lot more difficult to utilize sites like that when planning a less touristy trip--which we actually prefer. Kallend, I hope everything works out well for you soon. I've never heard anything positive about Travelocity and am hesitant now to even consider shopping them in the future. Thanks for sharing! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. Yes, and Obama is related to both Bush & Cheney. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. What an amazing story. "He was going to live the good life [in America]," said Major Brian Dennis. Isn't that the truth!
  7. I could hear it from your link, but not happythought's link.
  8. I agree--but it's not like you have to wear the headset-thingie all the time, you know. Frankly it's "the other" technology that scares me most. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. Only if the guys were all oxymorons. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. You've been a bad boy. OK, seriously people--no comments on my links? Some are hoping the technology will be beneficial to autistic children. Just the idea of that makes me anxious (in a good way). At the risk of sounding like a crazy-fool, I've always believed it is/was the telepathic connection between various animals and children that allow the kids to express themselves more effectively when being exposed to dolphins, horses, etc. I really don't care much about the video-game aspect, but the possibilities in other arenas are very intriguing to me. 11. I see you waited a mere four minutes before quoting me. I thought we agreed the rule was five minutes. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. The problem with that is ordinarily it goes "Holy shitballs" which defeats the purpose. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. Instead of "God", I use "gosh" or "goodness". Instead of saying "Jesus", (which I personally have never really used anyways) I say "Geez" (formerly written as "geese" apparently reading my old posts. ). There is no substitute for "fuck". This much I know. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. Sometimes they're called "girlfriends". Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. NeuroSky, Inc. has recently unveiled a new "mind-reading device". Imagine the possibilities. The medical & psychological possibilities, alone, are exciting!
  16. Right. I think it's obvious the problem is many people vote solely for what is best just for them and not what they perceive to the be the best thing for our overall nation of people. How do we change this? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. Yes, this is how I feel about him. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
