  1. OK, we actually HAVE used the terms "peas & carrots" for each other And yes, the G-thang started at a very young age for me, too. The first time my father did the laundry instead of my stepmom....ohhhhhh....I'll never forget that day. That's just something a father doesn't want to see, despite that I was a straight-A student and co-Captain of the V-club I think he was hoping for the white-cotton pink bow-type Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. What she said, Bobbi I was wondering when VSG would pop her head in here Except I wouldn't go as far to say couture designers rely heavily on trend forcasting or have similiar themes to that extent. Afterall, Donatella got her inspiration from her time in a substance abuse facility in Arizona. Which, I'm loving her desert-inspired dresses right now. I rarely, as mentioned before, like Versace. But, overall, what VSG said Skinny & fat pants are in. Nautical is in, but also patent leather? You can basically wear whatever you like, and if you like it, you will be more confident and confidence is the sexiest thing of all Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  3. Make her work for it I did. I started working at 12 But, still, extra chores, whatever, she will earn the value of the $100 item and realize how much work it takes to obtain it, nevermind having to also pay bills Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. OK...just for the record...nautical does not nessarily, or even ever mean red, white and blue together Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. Oh, forgot to add: I'm also recently obsessed with Cole Hann shoes I bought two pair of the Air flats a while back--one in black faux snake and one in brown faux croc. They are SOOOOO great b/c they look chic but are like tennies in the sole/bottom (Cole Hann teamed up with Nike Air---which is OK to buy now---you wouldnt' have caught me dead in Nike in previous years). A couple weeks ago, I picked up a pair of the Kina Wedges in white linen. SOOOOOO cute, very nautical which is haute now I'm considering going back and getting the same shoe in dark brown zebra-stripped. It's SUCH a cute shoe and SO COMFORTABLE! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. That's exactly what I meant. He never does the washing...not even of his stuff. But, he occasionally helps fold...and truth-be-told, I don't own anything BUT g-strings. I can't STAND full-backs, half-backs or ANY back. It's so uncomfortable to me. So of course, then, you know how they get wound up into tiny balls and you un-ball them That's what hilarious to watch. We are a great team though, with household chores. Everything I hate doing, he doesn't mind (cooking, taking out trash, etc.) and vice versa. I don'd mind laundry, cleaning, etc. So it works out perfectly
  7. Edited for your pleasure And yes, generally the spin cycle is my favorite---especially when there's too much weight on one side Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  8. I flippin LOVE scary movies---note term "scary", not "gory". Seriously, I wish I remembered the name of it....look at the video store for the cover of a white-faced girl w/ blacked-out eyes. I think it's called "GhostWatcher" or something. It's primitive film-making which makes it SO MUCH scarier b/c you feel like it's real while you're watching it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. I do three loads of laundry every week and it's 90% my boyfriend's clothes, the animals's bed covers, etc, towels & linens. I don't own much that doesn't say "dry clean only" but I also REFUSE to dry clean I have my own steamer and the trick to a lot of lil' silks is wearing a tiny body-hugging cami underneath. I DO put everything that's washable, though, in the drywer as none of it do I consider all that valuable--I have it for one reason and one reason only---CONVENIENCE. I love the Banana Outlet b/c I can buy super-cute shirts, shorts, etc. that if a big great dane jumps on me at Dog Park with muddy paws, I really dont' give a shit. Though, truth be told, he could do so in my couture, as well, and I wouldn't give a shit as I let animals do pretty much whatever they want and can't possibly get mad I don't mind stopping in Vicki's every shopping trip and picking up new undies. It's worth it to me---I always wash & dry undies, silk, lace, whatever The funny thing is watching my hunny, on the rare occasion he helps, try to fold them Edit: OK, I admit. I DO own a recently purchased tourquoise/grey striped thermal from.....THE GAP Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. That is JUST fine by me I call my hunny Chef-Boy-ar-Billy He's an amazing cook and I find that incredibly sexy in a man.
  11. That's good. I personally do not buy any clothes and/or bags from Ebay. But, as I mentioned in my pm...I'm available if you need details on fakes. It's sick, I know, but I get some sort of great pleasure out of being at a party and seeing a high-society woman who has NO CLUE her bag is fake Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. Oooo, girl, we really could raid closets. My legs from inner thigh to floor are 32 inches I can't stand Gap anything, though...especially jeans. But, I do still have my two pairs of Abercrombie from 8 years ago, and the one pair I still wear religiously on the weekends. My other pair, I shredded down the leg, so only wear those when I'm in "that mood" I have a major thing about ripping/cutting/shredding jeans. My first ever pair of jeans I cut up and my father was so pissed Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. LOVE this entire post. But, quoted just the above to add: A friend of mine, who was a virgin at the time, was technically raped one drunken night (She said no, but didn't really put up a fight as she was pretty intoxicated--at 19, unfortunately that happens). This experience resulted in an STD, despite that she said he used a condom Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. It DOES beg the question, doesn't it? After all, I began self-pleasuring at 12 And it was nearly always a daily event I'm very open about it, b/c I think more teenagers should. It satisfys a need, while releasing the pressure and/or desire to feel it's necessary to have someone else satisfy that for you---in the early years. I couldn't have imagined having that sort of complication in my life when I was younger. I was involved in so many things (sports, hobbies, design), and balancing different types of work, school & friends. If I'd the the drama some of my girlfriends had of a relationship, especially a sexual one, back then, me personally....I wouldn't be even close to the same person I am now. I think I might have gone insane. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. OOoooo, forgot to add: You can't trust Ebay. Some of the biggest faux/fake sellers in the business---ESPECIALLY bags. I will pm you some great, authentic discount websites & another lil' secret Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. I'm sure you rock your LAMB...not so much my bag, baby In fact, I haven't been fond of many singer's-gone-designers lines, Jessica Simpson? YUCK! J-Lo? Not in this lifetime, thank-you PETA for protesting. Baby Phat? Waaaay over the top, though technically the empire is run by Kimora, not Richard. P Diddy? Trying-too-hard-and-looking-too-everyone-else. Ohhhhh......stick to your day jobs, people For futher reviews, I'm afraid you'll need a subscription Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. I have jeans of all price-ranges and frankly, if they fit well & you're lovin' 'em. I don't think it matters one way or the other. Having said that, most of mine are Paper, Denim & Cloth, Banana and Seven for All Mankind Most mall-store fits are all-wrong, but if you like 'em, who cares? My really old kind that I've had for 8 years are Abercrombie---amazingly probably the ONLY pair they ever made not torn/frayed upon purchase They MUST be ironed after drying...but having said that...any pair of jeans that can last 8 years and still look great is good in my book, and they were originally only $50 or so I think. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. First, I have much love and respect for RL (I have so much to learn...) I didn't take the question to be sexist, though. To each their own...for me, one of my closest friends has had a LOT of previous partners. I have no negative judgement toward her b/c of that, despite my own choice to wait for someone I believe actually cared deeply for me and vice-versa. Everyone has such different ideas of sex & love and everything in-between. Though I don't think it should matter how much sexual history one has had, it inevitably does to a lot of people, right or wrong. And that's what I took the question to pose...a curiosity in that respect. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. I don't know about the saving yourself until marriage... But, my girlfriends and I called ourselves "The V Club" in high school. My best friend was Captain and I was Co-Captain My current hunny is still my one-and-only I had a LOT of experience w/ self-pleasure before him, though. Does that count? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. Stella McCartney is wonderful b/c her entire line is 100% animal-friendly. BCBG is fun and versatile. Yes, we must definitely raid sometime Oh, and I know it's redundant, but I am absolutely LOVING Blumarine right now. That one might take over, soon Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  21. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  22. Yes, unexpected guests can pose a problem at times I prefer to lounge in as little as possible at home, I don't see anything wrong with that Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  23. I would call myself boho-chic I had my first bells at 12, long necklaces, clogs. Think Chloe' The first pair of shoes I ever bought myself (rather than bought by my parents) were clogs. My father thought they were hideous and I insisted on having them. I was 12, and I did SOOOOO many extra chores to earn those bad-boys! Chloe' is always great. Alberta Ferretti, Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta, Monique Lhuillier & Blumarine are current faves as well. Carolina Herrera, Stella McCartney, Gucci, Missoni, Prada, Donna Karen & BCBG are usually loved by me. Contrary to their popularity though, I rarely like D&G (in fact, most of the time I find it an expensive way to look cheap), Dior or Versace. Chanel, Valentino, YSL & Burberry are beautiful on friends, but not my style. My closet, however, is mostly Banana Republic & BCBG with several of the greats listed above here & there You've opened a can of worms, darling THIS is my subject
  24. OK, that's just hilarious...b/c I actually DO clean in just my undies sometimes Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
