  1. Here is a funny link to the origin/life of the lovebug. http://www.snopes.com/critters/lurkers/lovebugs.htm#add Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. They are man-made. Was an experiment at my very own alma-mater, The University of Florida. Love bugs live 24 hours so they must mate the majority of that time in order to procreate and keep the paint jobs on human vehicles forever paying for the scientists mistake. (PS---the above is an urban legend that I believed for some time until I actually looked it up) Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  3. Quirks are amusing And also: Short/Tall, Blonde/Brown, Skinny/Junk in Trunk, Lipstick/No lipstick, Independant/Needs company at all times, blah, blah-blah, blah-blah. What is with everyone's self-esteem these days??? Why are there so many threads needing reassurance that people like which of the above physical and/or personality traits you are? It's boring me. [/Rant] Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. Iz OK---I thought I was tall until the thread where everyone said their height I'm usually taller than other girls, but at 5'8" I've recently realized I'm of incredibly average height Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. I dated a professional surfer who was Hawaiian and "supposedly" had a preference for very dark-tanned skin.... that is, until he met me. And I thought I had a major preference for tall men until I fell in love with my hunny (he's 5'11"). When asked "my type" I reply "Funny." Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

It seems there is a line now, but I'm in it
  7. Whoever said the two are not mutually exclusive is dead-on These threads are silly to me--b/c men really don't know what they want until they see it. And women always think if they're tall, men go for shorter girls, and vice versa. Same goes for hair color, ethnicity, body type, etc. Like the other day in the hair color/eye color thread, a few said they prefer blonde/blue-eyed (I am blonde, blue-green eyed). Yet I can't tell you how many times I've heard men raving about Brazilian women. With all the variety in this world, I really don't see why people worry about what the other sex is looking for. Just be yourself, guy or girl, and plenty-o-fish will want that Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I've definitely already found that to be true.

We might be definiting it differently. I don't know. I was definining it more playfully than seriously. In other words, we all are capable once in a blue moon of doing things we otherwise wouldn't that are ridiculous and silly in the aftermath--but in the moment we are so emotional we are obviously not thinking as clearly as we would ordinarily. If you disagree, I respect that.

I've never thrown an object, never hit someone or something, never destroyed anything to express my hurt. But, I've definitely screamed, slammed a door, and driven off (but just to the nearest place to park b/c I don't believe in driving while upset). I'm not ashamed of any of those things. Mostly when I've been really hurt, I sat in my closet Some people might even call that weird or psycho but whatever it is about my closet, I eventually feel better---I sit, I think, I'm in a small, quiet room and sometimes I look up and see a shirt I forgot I had and think about wearing it--which makes me laugh at thinking of something so trivial when I'm upset, and then that in itself makes me feel better, too. Anywho....these things do not embarass me. I don't see why they should

No, but my original statement was that anyone can have "pyscho-like" tendencies. I love Krisanne, but I have disagree she is not capable--b/c I know she's a good & caring person. It's only the ones who don't care about anyone or anything that have it in them to ALWAYS remain calm and collective. I think if you're someone who has never lost your cool, then I'm scared of you---usually later on in life such a person blows up and goes Ba-nan-nas! By no means does loosing your cool = psycho. Just that it can be funny to look back on and reflect when you're not "in the moment" anymore. I'll never forget that instance I noted b/c he saved the messages (having only listened to half of the first couple before giving up) and gave his phone to me to listen to them saying "If you really want me to listen to these after you're done, I will" but I didn't---and hearing myself was HILARIOUS! I was actually happy I had my words documented for later review. And for the record, I gave up after the first couple, too. I've said it before and it sounds cliche, but I believe it to be so true for me. Laughter is the key to a successful relationship. We've been together almost 6 years and are even more in love now than we ever were. We've gotten to the point that we almost CAN'T argue b/c we start laughing or making fun (in a non-mean-spirited way) of each other and it becomes too funny to keep a straight face. The problem is usually noted, solved and then laughed about instantly. I think we know each other so well that....I don't know...everything is funny and we're always cracking each other up. We have fun together no matter what.

I don't remember. I know there's a running joke among men that women remember everything little thing you did/do wrong but frankly, unless he did it wrong yesterday, I forget. I have no need to hold on to such information.
  18. Ehhhh. Emmmm. I shouldn't have to. As noted it says "I always edit for spelling and grammar" which indicates I MUST POST FIRST before editing. So if you are stalking me and I have not yet had the chance to post & edit you will inevitably find a mistake, but rest assure if you had waited just two more minutes that which you have quoted would no longer be incorrect. You will also note I took out the use of many "that"s b/c it is an unnecessary filler and when one is given limited space for an article or column one must eliminate such fillers. Furthermore, to point out the obvious, if I edited BEFORE posting I would have no need for such a sig line, now would I? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. Giving the thief your money bill-by-bill represents your reluctance to give in to something inevitable. The fact it was merely a steak knife and this angered you shows you have not accepted your fate and are still reflecting and thinking you could have/should have done things differently. Your initial thoughts of "I'm a wussy" reveal there is something in your life in the past you believe you should have stood up for, but did not. Being that you are disturbed by this dream has to do with you being a post-whore and forcing yourself to remember the details for a good post later. How's that? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. B/c a lot of things that are "bad" for you are also "good" for you in moderation. And b/c you only (as far as we know) live once and it's important to get the most out of your life and do everything you want to do. Having said that, I also desire a good quality of life so I also pay attention to doing "good" things for myself, too Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  21. I just realized I never look at the prices I just know when the price has gone up b/c it costs more to fill my tank. Right now it costs $65 to fill my tank with regular unleaded---I think I have a 22-gallon tank. I will look at the price of things I don't need but want b/c there is justification required. Gas? I just filler-up Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

  23. You're hilarious. I've tried time and time again to analyze my dreams looking for that "deeper meaning" and the fact is, no-one really knows what is going on with dreams, only speculation. It's like a horoscope---I can look up "lion" b/c there was a lion in my dream and it means this and if I think hard enough I can think of something in my life that could have been represented by that lion in my dream, but realistically just as a horoscope is generalized to potentially fit everyone, so are dream interpretations. I'm not saying there's not something to it---just that I don't think most people could/would/do get it right when they attempt to figure it out. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is---Don't worry about it (I've been on an overly long explanation-thing lately) I've woken up though plenty of times and flipped my hunny's arm off of me and he'll go "What? Huh? What's wrong, babe?" And I'll say, "You know? You were a real jerk in my dream just now." Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I have a rule never to leave the house with the last thing being said sometime negative. On that particular occassion mentioned above, I believe as my hunny walked out the door I said something along the lines of "Have fun! I love you, asshole." Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
