I don't bathe Sabre anymore. The last time I did I'm quite certain after an hour he still wasn't fully wet. He's super fluffy. The dirt, if on the rare occasion he gets dirty outside, doesn't penetrate into his layers of fur. It just brushes right off. He feels like a little mink; my luxurious little kitty. It's kinda strange but...I'll admit...I've considered saving his balls of hair from the brush and making super-soft gloves or a cap. I hear people do that. But, I don't wear fur and if someone asked why that fur was OK, I don't think they'd ever take me seriously again. Zoe', on the other hand, must get a bath once in a while. She's a royal tom-girl and occasionally comes home covered in something. She hates it, but she won't scratch or flip out so long as I get in the tub w/ her and cradle her in my lap... The things I do... Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

You mean like this belly? Neener. Neener. Neeeeener... Sabre lets me pet it any time I want. I regularly carry him around like a baby and anyone in my path must stop and give his belly a rub. Sabre just hangs out in my arms, no worries at all.

Umm........I still use many catch phrases from Forrest Gump. Just yesterday I replied to Billy, "That's good. One less thang." At least he thinks I'm funny. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

The funny thing about cats is they're all different. Water does not phase Sabre. As a kitten Sabre would balance along the edge of the shower and stick his paws in the water drops and bat at them. I bathed him daily in the kitchen sink w/ Johnson's Baby Shampoo, too, and he purred most of the time. Zoe' likes crinkled paper. Sabre likes strings & ropes. Zoe' prefers bird (turkey, chicken). Sabre prefers fish (tuna, salmon). Sabre never leaves our property when we let him out for a couple hours (never has in the 5 years we've had him). Zoe' roams the neighbor's. Sabre loves full body rubs and scratches. Zoe' only wants her head rubbed, and rubbed, and rubbed and rubbed and... I'm a sucker and I cater to each of their individual "needs". Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Stupid is defined by one's actions rather than what they do not know. Many would say Forrest was definitely not stupid. -

Cats prefer to dig and bury. Neither of our kitties, even Sabre who was just 2 weeks old when we took him in and nursed him to health, have never gone to the bathroom anywhere else but their litter box.

I'd bet everything I have if a camera were on any other parent 24/7 they'd catch a mistake or two of equal or greater concern on film, as well. That includes you, George. Britney is the least of my worries as far as bad parenting goes. Just turn on the news. I fully support the paparazzi following/photographing celebs. I disagree with (but completely understand) celebs' mistreatment of the paparazzi. I am absolutely against, however, the photographing, hounding & following of the kids. The kids did not choose to be famous and deserve protection from that. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

The reviews I heard inspired me to watch it. I was desperately hoping to be surprised. He's a royal underdog; a dirty dog; a spoiled dog. I would have loved to be shocked that he was good at something. Oh well. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Yea, this was supposed to be making fun of her nasty husband. I'm no Britney fan, but I think it's terrible the bad press she's been receiving over the baby. "Give the gal a break" indeed! And Joe, I didn't intend for anyone to actually sit through the whole thing, silly. I HAD to see it, though. Why doesn't anything surprise me anymore? I really miss being pleasantly surprised. Nope, smooth. But both were scratched up when Sabre was a kitten, as previously noted in that post. Furniture since has been left untouched.

I agree except...I don't stay out of the sun. In fact I'm always outside. I just apply block all over 15 minutes before leaving and reapply frequently.

I didn't watch the whole thing either. That's what's funny. I don't/try not to follow celeb gossip, but it's hard to ignore how extremely gross and non-contributing this cat is. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Cedar post lasts forever (well, probably not technically) and I spray it every once in a while w/ cat nip spray. Otherwise, I just use the disposable cat scratchers and keep them out on the back porch. Sabre doesn't tear it up, but the neighbor's cat goes to town, so it lasts as long as the neighbor's cat stays away. I don't see why you can't just recarpet it, as you mentioned.
