  1. i disagree with you on this. alot of very good well raised kids have been in this position. alot of great parents have had to deal with this or other problems. lets see how they deal with it tha t shows character.
  2. I think it is important that the families are introduced and looked at. It shows what kind parents they are, granted one look at them all dressed up isn't much but we will see in time how they are and that is important to see the character of the parents displayed through the kids and how well they handle themselves and how they handle problems.
  3. wasn't it gore that said "maybe we should inflate gas to $5 a gallon"? well the democatically controlled congress has almost done that
  4. Outside the war I don't feel there was to large of an increase but i'm sure you could come up with those numbers. what was the increase with government spending if you eliminate war spending?
  5. As for experience. You the right voted for GWB twice. Lets see he had a 2.0 in school failed every business he ever started. Was a drug addict. Wow guys great choice -------------------------------------------------------- lets make things equal, Obama was a drug addict. acording to your statement that makes Obama a "wow guys great choice"
  6. people don't learn from getting bailed out they learn from enduring through and repairing their own mistakes. when people learn to take care of themselves that is when things will get better.
  7. even the rebutle to normiss's post had tax increases in it, not to the extent of what she had posted but still increases. someone has to pay for Obama's plans and it will come from somewere. if it comes out of the buisinesses pockets it will be passed on to the people. That makes Obama an inderect liar. if it comes out of the peoples pockets it makes him a direct liar. either way he is lying because we will pay for incost of goods or increase in taxes.
  8. i din't say they were afraid of war just stated that they voted for it
  9. the bush admin didn't default on the loans the people did. regardless of the intrest rate the people screwed the pooch not bush. The fed gave alot of people the opertunity to have something more, to live in a house and build equity and the people fucked up and now want the people that used this opertunity properly to bale them out. i say let them learn from their mistakes no get bailed out by us.
  10. katrina was a debacle started by a democrat controlled state. i do remember the govener and the mayor saying things are ok, levees ok no worries.
  11. you do realize that when my taxes go up on my buisines i WILL pass that increase on to you. so you will be paying more just through my pocket. Taxing buisinesses only increases your cost of goods, reduces the labor force, or reduces your pay increases and benifits. I am in the auto repair buisiness so you will pay more (unless you don't own a car) and with the new technology you won't be fixing it yourself.
  12. just remember that the democrats control congress and that means they must have voted for the war spending over the last 4 years or it would have not been passed so i guess the democrats are war mongers also.
  13. still a tax increase. what happened to the PROMISS "TAX CUTS FOR THE 95% OF AMERICANS"? if this tax is exempt from that quote what other taxes are exempt? what tax will he cut?
  14. if you believe he is going to do what he says and not greatly increase taxes you are not very smart. hey do you want to do some buisiness? i got some great deals for you.
  15. no not a bunch of lies as your earlier post has shown. he has stated he will raise taxes and gave limits and these are just the upper limits he gave. since i never really believe politicians i take the worst poss and plan for that. that way i am in better condition incase it turns out better.
  16. no the mortgage meltdown was caused by stupid people . Maybe they should have read and understood the documents they signed. (i know did) I refinanced my house and business during this time and used the low intrest to my advantage, not to overestend myself but to lower my monthly cost of living and doing business.(i didn't take money out of my equity) stupid people took the equity and blew it to pay for their frivolous spending and put themselves in a bad place and cost themselves their home.
  17. Clinton drained us over his term. By the end many people had very little left to make it though 911. The companies like Enron and Tyco already were bankrupt when bush took office they had nothing left to survive 911. Clinton balanced the buget on our backs and drained our savings to do it. my pay and bring home pay shrunk each year clinton was in office. I have had an increase each year Bush has been there.
  18. It is hard to believe, that in this day and age, with all the knowledge available to us, that people could be so shallow that they would believe this shit just because the currant president made some unpopular / bad choices. but then again with the people that made bad choices in the housing market i guess they still haven't learned how to tell when they are getting cheated.
  19. And there we can just disagree. While being mayor of a small town may provide valuable experience, I think being a US Senator will provide experience more valuable to a President. ----------------------------------------------------------- I agree with you that being in the senate would provide valuable experience to bad Obama didn't use his time there to gain experience, vote on strong subjects, or make any attempt to make a difference for the betterment of anyone but himself.
  20. I'm glad someone knows how to pull this stuff up because i don't. I did listen to Obama's & Palin's speeches and personally Obama scared the crap out of me. All i could think was who was going to pay for this shit? I really couldn't believe people got excited about his plans. sounded like something you would here from Russia. I wanted to vote republican just from his speech. I want alot of things but i want to earn them myself. I don't want government giving me things or giving my hard earned money to someone else for their little pet projects. I know some things have to be run by the government and paid for by us but come on loosing 20-30 % of my retirement? I don't want to work till i'm 80 years old. Palin's speech actually made me feel better because I didn't feel like i was going to pay for everything. she sold the jet, got rid of the cook, and stop the bridge project and put the money to better use. now that sounds like someone i want to make descissions for me. I don't agree with everything on the McCain / Palin ticket but i feel alot better about it.
  21. and at least McCain voted. i personally feel Obama didn't vote on alot of things so it wouldn't come back at him in the election. shows he has no faith in his choices. he is afraid of what people would say if he actually made a choice. Obama has no trac record we can follow to understand his thought or feelings on the issues so we realy don't know what he is going to do if he becomes president. not all of bushes decissions were bad and most of his choises were voted in by both rep and dems. Mccain didn't vote with Bush 10% of the time which means he isn't bush. It only take a few changes to change the outlook on a large number of issues. a couple small changes here or there makes huge difference when it gets to the people. no one person or organization can make large changes, it was set up that way to balance power. Niether Obama nor Mcain can change things overnight it will take time, patience and influence to convince the other people in congress to swing things in a different direction and only Mccain has shown he can do that. Palin's speach and record has shown she can do it also. Obama has shown no ability to get things done and has no record to stand on other than he is popular.
  22. well i know $10,000,000 at this hospital goes just for illegals and that should be zero. as far as the war in Iraq goes the majority voted on it including democrats. the popular vote was for it so suck it up and see it through to the end. if people don't like it tough. if the ones that voted for it then but don't want it now can't handle it to bad it is to late you can't take it back. It would be criminal to back out and leave those people hanging again like we did in the first Iraq war. the problems we have now is not the war it is foriegn oil, and free loaders on the system. foriegn oil is going to cost 4-5 time more than the war. last i heard illegal's cost over $200,000,000 a year. (kinda makes the war seem not so bad). the figure i heard a couple weeks ago was close to 30% off all inmates are illegals, how much is that costing ? the oil problem will not go away any time soon even with alternatives, plastics, tires, lubricants all come from oil (try to make those out of electricity). the alternatives out there right now are not the answer either. hybred batteries are very toxic and cannot be recycled or disposed of(it is easier to get rid of radioactive waste than a hybred battery) we have alot of problems and Obama has no clue how to handle them. Mccain has the ability to work with and fix alot of these issues(by working with both sides) and has picked a running mate to help him.
  23. not a change in topic. you wanted numbers on those that couldn't care for themselves / wouldn't care for themselves and i don't have that answer, but i do have #s on one hospital and it is stagering. if most of these people got cut off they would have to pay for themselves. If this miss use of the medical care system is repeated across the country the $ number would be in the billions. aren't you tired of paying for this? I know I am. Obama wants to increase this total and Mcain / palin won't. I think Palin is an great choice for vp and maybe she might instill some self respect and values back into the american people. it is not if you have a problem it is how you handle the problem and people in america want the easy way out, they lay down and say "the system will take care of me". americans are lazy self serving people and have no respect for others and this is shown by the people that collect welfare and free medical.
  24. i don't know the numbers on this subject John, but one number i do know is that the hospital my brother worked at the last 2 years lost $10,000,000 each year just from illegal imigrants. and $14,000,000 from uninsured legal people from northern indiana and south side of chicago. that is about $48,000,000 loss in 2 years just for emergency room care for people that didn't pay their medical bills. This is just 1 hospital in one state and only for medical emergency room care. when i here interviews on the news of illegals sending money back home to mexico and then complain they can't get get medical here in the US it pisses me off. instead of sending money back home get insurance and pay your bills. Illegals send billions back to Mexico and then stand in line for free health care at emergency rooms and make us pay for their care. i have no problem helping someone but i have a big problem helping those that abuse the system. welfare should have a time limit on it and when it runs out owell they deserve to suffer at that point. if someone (even handicap) can't get off their ass to take care of themselves then they deserve what happens to them.
  25. yes i would welcome an oil well in my back yard. Drilling won't solve problems but it will create jobs and keep money here to invest in alternatives. As far as the preschool education goes it is a proven fact that in the countries that that have the best education programs don't start school until 6-7 years old and put the money on the finishing scool end when it does the most good. Oklahoma has instituted a preschool program and has seen no increase in the test scores of the children in later years and some have seen a drop in scores on the ones that start early. as far as health care goes, pay for it yourself i don't want to pay it for you. get a job or 2 if you have to, just like i did. welfare is an excuse to be lazy. it should be used to suplement someone temporarily not support them. it should also have a time limit to collect, after that owell starve if you can't help yourself. this may sound harsh but i am tired of paying for lazy people. to promote general welfare does not mean bust my ass to make it easy for someone else. to me it means help those who help themselves, and only those who are trying to help themselves. As far as tax the companies more well i own a company and i pass every increase right to you the consumer. not because I want to but because i will no go out of business nor will i put myself into a money crunch to make it easier on the public. as far as Mr Bush's little adventure, I am glad we are there instead of them over here and i am more than willing to pay extra for that. Do I like war, no but if it has to be let it be there not here. I have several customers that have fought in Iraq and not one of them bad mouths Bush and everyone agrees with what we are doing over there, even the one that lost a leg. This might end up being a bad thing or a good thing but only time will tell and later in life we will see what the end result of the war is. The large problem isn't the war it is oil and imigration, these are costing multiple times more than the war is or ever will.
