Actually, if he's talking about the "L" building (more of an "T" actually) near the river,it's pretty clean, except the pole on the corner. It'd be real tough to make it that far though. Your best bet (not that Ive though about this or anything) is to make a 90 right, and hit the parking lot that you can't see. Of course, there's that roof of the building across the street, but then you still have 2 stories to get down... Dogs don't know it's not bacon!

I don't know.... with the way this got passed around and played on every station in the country - in hindsight, if you were one of the other people there, would you have taken his helmet and camera? (I am *not* second guessing the people involved, I know this couldn't have been easy, I doubt they even thought it'd get all over the place like this) Dogs don't know it's not bacon!

sweet.. thanks... been awhile since I've watched one of these. it was always cool to watch it on tv, then step outside, look east, and see who could spot the trail first. Dogs don't know it's not bacon!

What? You think with the bio-optic thingers and the 5 mile sound wave repulsators and the bio-mechanical security super-woozies - you think you'll be able to BASE off it?? If if you did, the sound wave repulsatron would throw you 5 miles. oh... wait... SWEET! Let's see... if you hit it just right (assuming it wouldn't fry your brain or make you sterile) maybe it would throw you to 10k or 12k feet, and about 2 miles away. Rock! I can see it now, you launch a 4-way off the tower, get some points on the way up AND the way back down!! Those sub-terminal points at the top of the arc are gonna be tricky though... I'm guessing he deployed right out the door almost... you actually have to be in freefall for a few seconds before it says "Oh, I'm in freefall" Were you spiralling around 2400 ft? Dogs don't know it's not bacon!

They just played this on a Cincinnati station last night. They actually didn't do a real bad job. Although I don't think they should have played it at all, you see the fog, and right at the end you see the ground really close. They also did a pretty good "human interest" story - interviewing the people around here (Greensburg) that knew him. Yeah, they got a few things wrong, but it wasn't bad, considering. Dogs don't know it's not bacon!

I was channel surfing and heard something about skydiving. Turns out, on this show, they were charging these parents with child abuse for taking their 2 year old skydiving with them. Anyone else see this? And was there an actual case like this? Or are the writers feeling especially creative? IT was actually pretty well done - the guy explaining why he did it was actually really good. I was impressed. Dogs don't know it's not bacon!
