  1. Car state license tax - $20 Car local/county tx - $20 Bike state - $14 Bike local - $20 Service fee (??) $7.50 Postage $0.62 --- You'd think for paying all this, the roads wouldn't be completely shit. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  2. I was actually quoted about $2300/yr for my bike when I started shopping. I finally found an insurance company that doesn't care about the type of bike, the just the engine size - so yeah, now my "little" 600 only runs me just under $400/yr.
  3. Is that just for the bike? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

Dave - I think you're under the dellusion that skydivers are inherently a better class of people.
  5. Do I get $30 to get my own personalized plates? I'll guess it's "n2skdvn" What do I win?! BTW - do you pay that extra $30 every year? Or just to get them in the first place. Here, it's $30 (or $35 maybe?) every year - which seems pretty stupid to me - you're not getting new plates every year. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  6. Well, if we're counting car insurance too (required here also) .... that runs me about $1,000/yr - $600 for the car, $400 for the bike. Plus, 40 cents/gallon tax it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  7. Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the $20 I paid for "E-Check" too .... talk about a crock-o-shit there.... it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  8. I just paid $80 for the right to drive my car and motorcycle on the roads here for another year. Just curious what it is in other places. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

  11. Uhh... jack... isn't the first part of that usually something about being an old woman? ..... something you want to tell us? What is more disturbing, the fact that I quoted the poem, or the fact that Seth knew the reference? Is the something you want to share with us? Uhh... must have been in a movie or something... god knows I don't ever read anything....
  12. Yeah, but the people with no sense of humor get all pissy at me when I post that one. Freeflyz - You have a soul?! I sold mine a long time ago... it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

  14. No, what you really have to look for is - is it almost completely silent? Then, it's time to be afraid. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  15. "That's a bunch of crap." - Vallerina "Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody's power, that is not easy." - Aristotle "A witty saying proves nothing." - Voltaire "The next best thing to being clever is being able to quote someone who is." - ?? "Man, I don't care!" - Chick McGee "Almost every wise saying has an opposite one, no less wise, to balance it." - ?? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  16. 50 replies in 40 minutes has to be some sort of record too it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  17. Amen. People also need to understand that finding a place to lay blame won't make them feel any better. And making accusations (in either direction) doesn't really do anyone any good. And putting it all out in public is kind of silly, and really doesn't do any good. Silence is not an indication of guilt. On the internet, you are no better believed than the person you're accusing. Relax, and let life continue. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  18. Just out of curiosity - what did you serach for that brought this up? Unless you were really really really bored, and browsing 5 month old threads it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

  20. Supposed we're supposed to know and obey those pesky insider trading laws and crap like that, huh? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  21. I'm not saying it's the same. I'm saying the precedent of me having to take an ambiguous statement and determine what you actually meant by it is. Or even if your statement should cause me to ask for clarification. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  22. Ok, so if I ask you for $1200, and you give it to me, then you say "Man, I wish I had a big screen TV" - if I don't ask if you want your $1200 back, you can convict me of robbery? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  23. And in this case, any hints she gave sure didn't point to "I don't want to be here" She wasn't drunk, she just let two guys undress her and fondle her, and just had sex with one and started having sex with the other - you might get one guy out of 100 to question what she meant by that, and say something like "Do you want me to stop?" I don't think the other 99 are being stupid, dull, criminal, or unreasonable. Even if she used something slightly less ambiguous like "That hurts" or something, I might understand, but "I have to go home" ?? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  24. If she wasn't getting up from the bar stool, looking for her purse, and/or putting her coat on - I'd think she's just waiting to be swayed one way or the other. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
  25. No, it's not really all that hard. I don't care how 'aroused' you are. And I don't think you should get some amount of time to "collect yourself" and stop like the lady for the defense said - that's stupid. I do believe, "I have to go home" doesn't mean "stop". Like that one judge said, that could just mean hurry up. I also don't think it's that hard to make yourself clear on what you want. "No" and "Stop" require less effort to say than "I have to go home" and they make it very obvious on what it is you want to have happen. In this case, I think it's BS because all she said was she had to go home. She didn't try to push him off, she didn't say no or stop ... what's the guy supposed to think? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
