Well, I would wish shitty weather on you, but I've had enough bad weather around here... I wouldn't wish it on anyone - not even you. And I can't take credit for the padawan learner - I mean, I have my share of typos and stuff, but nothing near that bad. With that spelling, I'd say they have to be from Michigan, and that's Don's territory. Which makes sense, he blames stuff on me, TBlair blames stuff on me - Don even admits it's his philosophy as well! There's always two... the master and his flunky. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

I had to vote for Irish, so you can dance and not spill your beer. If Azul was around, I'm sure he'd vote the same way! You do realize you're taking advice from people who, for the most part, (aside from your shameful rigging of the poll) think Bud Light sucks less than Miller Light. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

Chris makes a good point - he claims it was in the name of homeland security, but actually he hurt the security of Chicago by the tower now no longer being there. And there are planes there - they said they'll be able to use the taxi way later in the week to get out, or the city will pay to get them shipped out. EDIT: most pilots probably know, Daley has actually wanted to shut down Meigs long before 9/11. They had a "Gentleman's Agreement" (that was supposed to be codified at some point) that Meigs would stay open until 2026 if he got his support to expand O'Hare. It looks like "Homeland Security" was just a good excuse to make way for Daley Park. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

How can you just tear up an airport!?? And Meigs! That's such a shame... What will the default airport be in the next installment of MS Flight Sim?! it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

12 (laws broken) : 0 : 0 Fed a crazy homeless guy, broke some more laws, flooded a bathroom (to anyone on the 9th floor of the Hyatt in Indy, I apologize sincerely), watched a movie, bitched about the weather, killed a few prostitutes ... good lazy weekend! it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

I would love to help you out... if I didn't hate you (and everything you are) with such a passion. Oh.. wait.. I could intentionally deface your pages! That would be fun! I could salt cute little message to Don throughout the whole thing!

Has SDA used Fayard's planes before? I thought they had Yankee Doodle ... why would they owe him money? Or at least enough to justify taking control of the DZ. Ok, question here - if they owed him for work done to their otter and didn't pay... can you put a lien on an aircraft like a mechanic can for a car? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

from http://www.skydiveamericapb.com/sda-news.html Doesn't sound like CSS owns SDA, just takes control.... ?? Related to the thread about Fayard from earlier in the week? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

Speaking of Seth....how's he been ? Ya know Don, I'd have a lot more respect for you if you could sling an insult without a girl completely setting it up for you... christ, it's like t-ball in here! Speaking of - does Michigan finally have a baseball team? Or is the little league team sponsered by Lansing's Super Value still a tough game for them? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

I see it as a country, not a person. If it said "no country attacks" then I think you'd have a point. And then we'd have to stop taking cheap shots at the French... and where's the fun in that?! And Canada - jesus.... there's a comedic goldmine there you'd be sealing up. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

Andrea lobs ths one out there, and you guys just keep rambling on about paper sizes and office equipment!?! The world is in sad sad shape... So, uhh... hey Andrea.... how you doin'? it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

Bill - I agree completely. Jfields actually said again what I was trying to say - it's not a matter of bringing up legit safety concerns, it's doing them in a fair and non-damaging manner. Jess - I'd be surprised if it did show up in Skydiving. And who that has piped up so far has any loyalty to Fayard? I sure don't - yeah, we usually have one of his planes at my DZ, but it doesn't matter to me if I'm sitting in that or an Otter or a Westwind or anything else with wings and a strong engine. I actually prefer something smaller than a Casa most of the time - too easy to get hosed and land off the DZ out of a Casa eeneR - I haven't seen anyone "rip him to shreds" - simply question his motives and his way of approaching this one. I think most people appreciate the things Chris does in the name of safety. And again, implying he'll have to "cut corners" - I don't see that. If I'm reading this stuff right, he has a ton more $$ in assets than he does liabilities, and he's making a pointed effort to continue a good business relationship with his parts suppliers in the midst of all this. He wouldn't be the first DZO/businessman to let taxes get him in trouble, and planes didn't fall from the sky then. I'm not saying these aren't valid concerns, I'm just saying some of the FUD could have been left out. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

Um... yeah, actually. I'm just trying to keep you honest Chris. I like a lot of the things you've done around here, and keeping track of incidents on your site, and things like that. However, you've shown a dislike for Paul Fayard and his planes in the past - bordering on personal vendetta. I don't know what you have against Paul, or if you even do, but you've come across that way more than once. Your post under the guise of helping people keep their eyes open and question the airworthiness of Paul's planes - maybe I just took it wrong. But throwing out a leading question, and then implying that it would affect the safety of flying on his planes, coupled with some of your past comments and feelings about Fayard - I just think it was a little unfair of you, that's all. Actually, the DZs that owe Fayard money are the ones I'd be more worried about. There's a couple dozen possible reasons - most of them not involving illegal activites on Fayard's part. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

Andy - I think you're wrong. If you look at the schedule of affairs, it looks like he owes a few hundred thousand in back taxes alone. http://207.41.17.18/ECM/bc_images/__0WX0SS2LO6262536.pdf Chris - I'm kind of disappointed in you. Isn't Roger selling one or more of his Otters? Should we be worried about the state of financial affairs at SDC? He's also been investigated for all sorts of hairy things. Should this bother us too? And don't you fly for United?? (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think my memory serves) http://money.cnn.com/2002/12/09/news/companies/ual_bankruptcy/index.htm Should we all be leary about flying with them?? And if anyone cares, Fayard specifically filed a motion to allow him to continue to pay CAAD and Garrett Aviation outside of this reorg so they would continue to sell and ship him parts for the Casa. http://207.41.17.18/ECM/bc_images/__0WX0TDXXS6262627.pdf Now, I have also heard Fayard is owed a ton of money by lots of different people. Let the man get himself organized before you jump all over him and cause even more problems. In the meantime, I'll continue to hop on board any of his aircraft. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

I'm honestly curious about why we're at war?
wildblue replied to JayhawkJumper's topic in The Bonfire
So the UN's a joke... not a good reason. If they are, it's on their heads, shame on them. I'm sure you'll find some "Made in America" parts in there too. Possible link, not well defined. He trained terrorists. So do we, we just call them Freedom Fighters. Then why are there farmers in the fields shooting down Apaches? Why do the troops continue to fight? Surely they have family members who want to be "liberated" I'm sorry, but we are there being a bully. We're forcing a country to our way or thinking. I really don'tr understand how so many Americans just bury our head in the sand, and refuse to admit maybe we're doing something wrong. When a better part of the world seems to think we are, and many other Americans seem to think we are... have you been watching the news? Have you seen the massive anti-war protests all over the world? These aren't just your average, everyday protests. People in Egypt (aren't they supposed to be our friends?) showing support for Iraq http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/middleeast/view/35502/1/.html 200,000 (yes, 5 zeros) people in New York the other day protesting - shouldn't they be the most supportive? I mean, 9-11 affected them more than anyone! 20,000 - 30,000 in Germany ... oh that's right, they're stupid like the french and in this for money. Nevermind, we'll just boycott them too. Before too long I'll have to enjoy Freedom chocolate cake. 10,000 - 20,000 people a day, for multiple days in a row in Chicago are protesting. I suppose they're all insane or blind, right? Or Anti-American. I love this country, I love the freedom we have here, I love the quality of life we enjoy here - I hate what we do with our power, I hate that our government feels the need to have a massive military and be the world's policeman, I hate the fact that America is hated all over the world because or how much we impose our will and how arrogant we are. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality -
Don, Maybe you've just tuned out lately. If it was Jess complaining, she'd have to throw something in there about birds, how much she hates you (or me), use some really big words, and generally just turn the whole thing into a male-bashing novel. Then of course she'd challenge someone to a battle of wits (and inevitably lose) and eventually give up and storm off. I'll forgive you this time - Michigan fans require all the sympathy I can muster. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
