So I just came back from the mall, and my hands are still shacking. I was trying to get a new pair of jeans, so I get my regular size, and that doesn't even come close to fitting me, so I get a larger size, and that won't fit either. i had a nervous breackdown in the middle of Macy's. I feel like a damn cow! And I'm leaving for Florida in a week. I don't even know how this happened, Last month I was skinny, and now I'm female version of Homer Simpson. I was sick in bed for 3 weeks, so I had to quit running, and I also quit smoking at the same time, and this is the result. Does anyone know of any crash diets that work in a week. My plan for now is just to stop eating, and take up smoking again. Sorry to rave, but I'm still in the state of shock.

I drove down to my home dz today to drop off my new rig to be packed & instpected. This was my first time back since last November. I was kind of nervous, but the second that I stepped throught manifest door, I felt like I was home again. It's weird how you can love a place so much. There was a jumper there that I didn't know that well, I think that we only met a couple of times, but he remembered my name, which doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but I was really touched. I can't wait untill I can jump there again. It was just like the old times again. The worst part was the drive home, everytime I leave that place, all I can think about is coming back there again.

We all love Roy! He helped me with any questions concerning gear that I ever had, and was really patient, & didn't mind me checking in on my gear every week (I think). I would recommend him to anyone.

I tried everything you guys mentioned , (except for the heavy drinking, but I'm concidering it). Nothing works, the fucking thing is just gone. To make matters worse I was up till 4 am last night playing with my new rig, so I'm half asleap now. So I'm basically screwed. And instead of trying to write my paper I'm here posting. I wish I could put myself out of my misry!

I finally finished all of my papers. The last one's due tomorrow morning, so I never bothered prinitng it out. I completely forgot about it untill now, so I go to open the file, but the paper is gone! I know I saved it, but it just dissapeared into thin air. I really hate computers sometimes. This kind of shit always happens whenever i have a deadline. Now I have to go ahead and start all over again & of course since all of the paper was bullshit, I can't remember what it is that I actually wrote. My life sucks!

I've been waiting and waiting, and my first rig is finally here!!! I just tryed on the Wings, and its a perfect fit, except that my boobs are kind of squished by the chest strap, but who cares! Its here! I don't wanna brag, but this thing is sweet, its the most beautiful rig I've ever seen. I have to pick out a name for it. Now all I need to do is just finish AFF so I can jump it. Virtual beer for everyone!

Hey congradulations and have fun! I don;t know how they run their program in Seb, but you'll have about 8 hours of groundschool before you can jump, and you'll probably make your jump right after. I think that the general rule is that they don't want you to make more than 3 jumps aday for AFF, but maybe that's my DZ. Anyhow, can you do me a big favor, once you get to Sebastian, can you give a message to Gill? Tell her Marianna said hi, and that I'm definetely coming in 2 weeks. Oh yeah, bring sunscrean if you tend to burn. HAVE FUN!!!!

Does anyone else watch that show. I started watching it from day one and haven't missed a single episode, which is weird, since I'm not a big tv person. But that show is the best thing I have ever seen on television (almost as good as the x-files). So if you have nothing to do on a tuesday night, I strongly recommned that you all watch it. Had to share my enthusiasm!

Ok, not that I'll be doing any jumps with one, but I was watching Crosswind and I have a question on the birdman jumps. Where do the leg straps go? On the cover of the video it just looks like the rig's attached by the chest strap, with no legstraps visible? I would think that the opening shock would be kind of painfull since it wouldn't be distributed evenly along the body. Can someone explain how exactly this works?

I remember crying alot after 9/11, I cried for the people that died, for their families, and for the world. It didn't hit me right away, because the whole thing just seemed so unreal. Then a couple of weeks later, I can rember having a really persistent feeling that somehow nothing would ever be the same. I think I lost some of the security that I had, because you just never know what's going to happen. 9/11 made me realize that I was an American. Even though I wasn't born here, what happened made me realize that this was my country.

Sorry about your ankle man. And welcome to the club. I did the exact same thing as you on level 5 & fractured and sprained my foot. It was my driving foot, so I had to learn to drive with the cast on, it wasn't so bad. At least you'll get to park in the handiccapped spots, and if you're caught speeding you can use your cast as an excuse.

Hi I should be the last person on earth to give any advice on AFF, but, oh well. Try to be at your dropzone as much as possible. You never know what the weather will be like in the future, (students can't jump in winds above 14mph), so the more time you spend there the greater are your chances of finishing AFF. Also, the more current you are the less nervous you'll be the next time you jump. That's just from my own limited experience. Why don't you bring your homework to the dropzone and catch up reading while you're waiting for your load. Ok, I shouldn't be giving any advice on homework either... I just really need to jump, and if I was given a chance between jumping tomorrow and studying for the midterm, I would definetely jump. Ofcourse I'm not extremely responcible, (and I had a couple of beers) so you can just choose to disregard my words of wisdom and not jump. BUt you'll regret it!!!

I'm finally having all of my gear delivered next week. Now I just have to put it all together. Does anyone know of a good rigger around MA? It wold help if they had experience with Wings containers. All the riggers I know from my dz are still in hypernation, and I'm leaving for florida in 2 weeks, so I need one kind of soon. Thanks Emmie
