Most of the Dems aren't too much different. Word. Agreed but it's not like there is any chance for Ron Paul so vote for somebody that actually stands a chance and don't waste the vote.

Ever heard of demand and supply and of elasticity? No wonder the oil companies are making tons of money. That's how it's supposed to be according to economic theorie. Why shouldn't they? They are in business to make money like everybody else and not to help you poor guys pay the $500/month for gas that you put into your hummer. -
I'd better hope it's not NEVER gonna happen. That would bring you guy's in serious trouble. About the too tied up: NO you aren't you just don't feel like changing anything. Look at Iceland. They use nearly no fossile fuels anymore at all. Germany is building huge wind farms. A good share of electricity in Switzerland is produced from water energy and those are just the examples from on top of my head. Don't tell me america is not smart/good enough to do what everybody else has already done.

You elected the president just deal with it. (This mostly goes to the people who reelected him). And vote either Obama or Clinton if you don't want any more oil wars.

Stop whining. Whole Europe pays somewhere between 6-8 USD. What you should be doing is tell the morons which are still driving SUV's and Pickups to get a better car. -

I know and I'm completely aware of that. The first thing I said when he told me was go to the hospital or at least call your doctor. The thing is I'm not his mum and if he thinks he doesn't need to go to the hospital he won't.

The rhythm didn't seem to be irregular just very fast. Caffeine rules out as an option since he didn't drink or eat any today. Thanks for all the tips. I already told him he should go to the hospital tomorrow.

Whether afib nor svt are telling me very much, but he seems to be fine now. His pulse is down and he feels good.

Never tried it but if you have psycho active substances you always run into the danger of just going nuts. A friend of mine (it's a true story) did mushrooms and he is now in a psychological clinic because he thinks he's an apple. Sounds funny but isn't. They had to take out the wooden floor because he was paranoid about the worms in the wood eating him. The effects are as far as I have hear kind of comparable to NO2.

He doesn't seem to have any other symptoms What is a 12 lead? And as I said he doesn't feel like going to the hospital. I'll see if my host-mum will drag him there though

My host-dad is just having a problem with his heart beat. It has been very high for the whole day according to him. In the last half hour it was constantly over 160 and he was sitting still. I know the smartest thing would probably be to go to the hospital, but he does not want to so I thought I might as well ask if anybody ever experienced something like that. I am completely aware of the fact that not much reliable information is going to come, but it would still be nice to hear from some people who know what they are talking about.

I read daily the NZZ (Switzerland) and Cash (also Switzerland) online. I think the newspaper my host family gets is crap (and most of the other american ones I've read so far) out several reasons: It is very hard to find a neutral unbiased article. Most of the time you can say if a republican, democrat and so on who wrote it. It is very hard to find real international news (and what George W. does in Mexico doesn't qualify as international news). The domestic news are also crap since they usually just talk about things like lead paint or Anna Nicole Smith.
