How many jumps are needed to be allowed to dock with a tandem if you are not wearing a camera or anything else requiring more jumps?

My 16th jump was a 4-way with a jump total of 30'000 so I'm definitely choice number one. -
Yeah I can understand that. Having to get new HDD's is always a giant pain.

I would say get a new DVD-rw and DVD rom since they are not that expensive anymore. IDE is just too old and slow. You'll have to replace them sooner or later and those fix-ups usually just don't work very well (I do not have any experience with those particular things you were talking about though). For the HDD's it's a harder call since they are more expensive and you probably don't want to lose data. How big are the HDD's?

Lets not even mention the concerted effort for the last 20 some odd years to counter the NEA by the far right . They wanted to make sure THEY controlled the school boards all over the country. Eventually we end up with Madrassas instead of schools.. considering what some of these people see as acceptable books to use for teaching. I agree. Seeing that some schools seriously teach the bible and creation it's no wonder that nobody knows anything that's actually helpful...

I won my first Sit n Go yesterday. Made 4.50 which I then spent on another sit and go with 45 entrants and I got 11th. Not bad. No good hands though.

That's unlucky. I would have loved to come out but since it was pretty cold I thought it wouldn't be worth getting up to call. Tomorrow doesn't look good at all so I'll try next WE.

Hey thanks for your answers. I just thought about Hawaii since it would be a great place to be. I'm aware it will be really expensive. How high are the chances that they will take somebody with low jump numbers? Does anyone know how the employment status for packers are usually handled? I am not legal to work on a contract but I am legal to work for tips.

Hey everybody I was just doing my summer planning and I hope that I'll be able to work on a DZ for like 6 weeks this summer. My situation is that I'll be off for more than 3 months this summer and that I don't feel like working some crappy job the whole time but that I can't afford to just take vacation. I was hopeing (or maybe just dreaming) that I could go to a DZ like in Hawaii an pack/work there to make enough to pay for food and drink and the plane ticket. I am Swiss citizen and I don't really care where I go as long as it's nice and warm there and at the beach. Don't care about the country but I'm currently in the US and won't be able to afford a too expensive airfaire. I'm basically just looking for people who have done it to find some advice on how to find a DZ and what I'll need to know/be able to do by then. Thanks

Hehe okey I see you are all wusses I'm Swiss and we have a saying: It's never too cold, you are probably just not dressed warm enough Yeah Il isn't really a choice. If I felt like driving a long time I'd go to Wissota. Bad luck I suppose. I'll just keep on waiting for the spring. Thanks for your help.

That's what I meant. I doubt that very many DZ owners or pilots would want to risk being involved with something like that.

To answer the initial question: No there are not any legal requirements to buy a parachute, but you won't be able to use it unless you are certified since no one will let you on their plane. For Base rigs it's different. Most manufacturers require at least some skydiving experience.
