These poor migrants just want passage into the USA
Coreece replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Oh.. and GOP leadership is lily white in your eyes.... of dividing the country... interesting blinders Ron... Apparently you missed the part of his post where he expressed otherwise...interesting blinders indeed, Jeanne. Here, I highlighted his statement with bright decoder colors so that you may perceive it: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4655570;search_string=%20Republicans%20destructive%20agenda.;#4655570 Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -
Brilliant idea to stop unneccesary abortion clinic regulations

Well, Kallend just seems so afraid posting an opinion that can possibly be ridiculed...he even disguises his edit notifications with colors that are less noticeable. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -
Funny how this thread got off topic so quickly, lol...usually it takes several pages before that happens, but Lalor managed to do it in the first reply. That must be some kinda record, eh? Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

Are companies being forced to help cover the cost of Cialis and Viagra for their employees? I'm still waiting for an answer funjumper101... Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

I hear you Ron...I've experienced it. Loved the freedom without all the hassle...no cares in the world - not thinking about tomorrow, just today...but with all these wacky liberals shoving their beliefs down my throat, I have to say...it kinda ruined it. Brilliant idea to stop unneccesary abortion clinic regulations
Coreece replied to funjumper101's topic in Speakers Corner
Thank you. Now can you state your position on whether subsidizing birth control has any benefit to society? I thought this was about employers being forced to supply certain forms of birth control to which they object. Most companies will still cover birth control despite the SCOTUS ruling...even Hobby Lobby only objected to a couple forms of contraception. Doesn't mean that they won't cover the others... This is all just fodder for those who want to demonize republicans, Christians and/or conservatives...they are the boogeyman to blame for all the society's ills...it's convenient, it's en vogue. Just needed to add: Up here in northern Michigan, Alcona health centers offer a sliding scale where low income women can be approved for birth control at $10 a month. $10 bucks co-pay for all other health issues...I'm assuming the state covers the cost? Not sure if other areas have the same deal... Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -
Brilliant idea to stop unneccesary abortion clinic regulations
Coreece replied to funjumper101's topic in Speakers Corner
I can understand why a grown ass woman would object to these "regulations." From 35 years on, you're basically set in your ways. You've lived life, you know what you want and have not the time nor need to be schooled by some young doctor/punk trying to convince you otherwise....I get it. ...but the majority of abortions are performed on women between the ages of 15-24... In this country one can't even drink a beer until they're 21 years of age and most are typically covered by their parents medical insurance until 23-25. Why? Because in this day and age we realize that these "adults" are still just kids and can' t understand/handle the responsibility yet. I have no problem with a kid waiting 1 or 2 more days to decide if abortion is the right option...what's the big rush? What if the only reason for wanting an abortion is out of an unnecessary fear? A fear of their parents? A fear of society? I think discussion and support are needed in these instances... ...but I still don't see what the big deal is. All the women I know who had abortions just went to the clinic and the doctor asked them several times if this is what they and the father wanted, and then scheduled the appointment. What a drag! Well, in addition to the above, this bill, from what I can see could be open season on late term abortion. It's disgusting...even some of the most headstrong liberal women are against THAT! Also: Peer Reviewed: http://bjp.rcpsych.org/content/199/3/180.abstract Abstract: Again, I can understand (to a point) the disdain if you're an older women...but the majority of abortions are performed on women within the tender ages of 15-24. This peer reviewed study is in agreement with what I've observed with the women in my life who've had an abortion. All have shown regret and all are really fucked up...this is not to say however that they would've made a different decision if they had to do it all over again, and it still has to be proven if they were fucked up to begin with...but the study is still legitimate and may speak volumes to the type of women who have abortions, namely, the majority who are between the ages of 15-24. You see, you don't take the time to consider this because you're so hard up on the idea of the big bad evil Christan white boogeyman destine to destroy freedom with their "war on women." Any studies contrary to your flame are just lies perpetrated by said boogeymen. (snicker) Did you consider the idea that children may now have to have parental consent? Did you consider the possible increase in cost of abortion if it were to become just another medical procedure equivalent to (gasp) a colonoscopy, biopsy, abstracted tooth, tonsil removal, etc.? lol...terrible article. It hardly discussed the bill. It was just a fluttering flame by someone acting like a pissed off feminist. You really need to get some new material... Yes! - but the factors that affect the deadline vary from one state to another, and one insurance policy to another, among other things. She should consult with an attorney immediately! (with respect to all insurance policies and any other issues) Ok - I will be talking to her later in the week... He said "immediately!" ...if not, sooner. The consistent, deliberate lying by Conservatives gets really old. There are many medical uses for birth control pills that have nothing to do with contraception. That accounts for about 14% of users. It's not a lie to claim that contraceptives are used for contraception...the deliberate liars are the ones who say that it is. It's like saying that somebody is a liar for claiming that Cialis is used for erectile dysfunction because it can also be used to treat an enlarged prostate. Are companies being forced to help cover the cost of Cialis and Viagra for their employees? Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

how often do you clean/oil your concealed carry wpn?
Coreece replied to D22369's topic in Speakers Corner
Perhaps you watch too much TV. All I know is that if I had been carrying in the real situations I've actually experienced, then more people would be dead...maybe even myself...and yes, my words actually did diffuse the situation. If I had to do it again, I guess I'd prefer to have my gun...but it wouldn't have ended up as good as it did before. My point is that using a gun will exacerbate the majority of situations where you'd actually might feel the need to have a gun...like a robbery for example. From experience, I realized that carrying a gun in Detroit actually puts me at a greater risk... It kinda depends on where you are... Wise up. I didn't listen, tho I somewhat agree with the premise. I just think Joe Rogan is an obnoxious ass. The fact is that times are changing, and it's best if we all find some common ground. We need to throw away our childish ideologies, while refusing to compromise our essential beliefs...but doing so in a peaceable manner. For us who know the truth, we don't deny the bitter end to our future, but for everyone else there's at least a false hope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRmBChQjZPs Kumbaya... Those are fantasy scenarios that are very unlikely. You're more likely to be in a situation where the assailant doesn't really want to kill you...if you don't have the ability to reason with them or at least mess with their head, then I can understand your fear. Adding another gun to the situation will most likely end with death(s) that could've otherwise been avoided... ...but hey, that's just me actually experiencing real world situations, while you fantasize about blowing away some big thug due to some type of Nepoleon complex. To each their own...don't let me stop you. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -

This is just a fantasy...you'd have better luck learning to reason with your enemy in most situations rather than fearing him. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -
Your deflection only puts the icing on the cake of your proven ignorance with regard to the subject... You just want to argue against faith....doesn't even matter if you agree with me...figured as much. You'd be more effective in your atheistic evangelism if you actually knew what you were talking about. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

Then I guess you're just one of those people that doesn't have to explain themselves to anyone, yet feels the the need to talk all kinds of shit on an internet forum without providing any substance whatsoever that proves you actually know what they're talking about...got it. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

btw, I just finally looked at your link...lame. It proves you can't provided substance to your claims as I can. Your religious background (which amounts to complete ignorance) is what Einstein was referring to when he talked about the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. Get over it... Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

I thought this thread said how often do you carry your concealed weapon... ..To which I would ironically respond, hardly ever when I'm in my home hood in Detroit. I've been in several situations in which I was able to reason with the aggressor. If I had my gun, who knows...but it would've ended much worse. Now if I was in Cali, I would always carry, legal or not...those people are crazy. At least I can see a soul in my Detroit hood brotha's eye's... in California, all I see are dark bottomless pits absent of any reason whatsoever. Now you're assuming that I don't think Rick is a con... I've heard the arguments against him even within the evangelical church...I must admit, he's very slick - a master of his craft. Many poor souls (lonely women) are captivated by him with their inability to grasp his subtlety. The main division within the evangelical church is those that have a God-centered theology and those who have a man-centered theology. Man-centered theology revolves around the prosperity gospel...everything is good. God wants you to hit more home runs and score more touch downs. God wants you to get that brand new Lexus, all you have to do is name and claim it... These types of churches bring in more people and more money because they tell people what they want to hear. God centered theology will not support human covetousness as does the prosperity gospel. It will deal with the darker side of life. They will help you to recognize sin in your life and promote change. It will get you out of a bad situation in life when the warm fuzzy feelings of the prosperity gospel fade away... Edit: I just have to add that I'm still not sure if Rick is really a con or just a sincere misguided pragmatist...he's that good! Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...
-
Oh, I see, you assume I don't come from a religious family and have no exposure to religious conmen. Fine then, provide something of substance showing Rick Warren as a possible con... Funny how you can call all those guys cons, but then ridicule me for doing the same with regard to Catholicism and it's religious leaders who should know better... Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

It seems to be headed in that direction, which I guess is the point. But in all of this I somehow managed to overlook an important biblical principle. Romans 14:5 One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. Other versus deal with the idea of sacrificing your own freedom for the sake of the conscience of a weaker believer. So just because I think it's ok to use contraception, that doesn't mean that I should in any way convince another believer to violate their conscience if they feel it to be wrong... The problem I have with this particular instance is that Hobby Lobby invests into the various companies that produce the contraceptives in question, so it seems like contraception is objectionable to them not because of their faith, but only when it costs them money. Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
