Man, I just got deja vu. That looks so much like Lake Wawasee, IN, where I spent many days skiing behind a wooden Chris Craft driven by my friend Jeff. He still lives there and refurbs wooden boats. Well, The video was actually shot in Nashville. Nowadys the video would've acually been shot in Michigan because of the huge tax incentives. The kid thinks he's smarter than his genes... It's actuall a funny story, kinda. The kid was buggin his dad non stop...My uncle is not the most tech savy, so the answer was no. My cuz kept buggin'. I told him to just go inside and leave it alone, but he kept buggin' like his lil baby sister. I kept tellin him to just go inside and I'll handle it. He went inside, and as I was about to tell his dad (my uncle) about a great $50 deal on an I-phone with his carrier ATT that wouldn't cost him more than the $50 for the phone.(he's got plenty of family minutes...like 500+ carryover a month) But I caught my dumb ass st8 "A" student cuz trying to eavesdrop on the conversation. I didn't like how his statemnet came across. I got his point, and that's cool, but the cool thing about it is that nobody knows...hence the "secret life" A professional editor would've seen the irony and not make him look like such an idiot. btw, the editor cut up Joe's statemnet anyway and threw in some cutaways to cover it up, that much is only obvious to a trained professional...My problem is with the post production, not Joe. Meh...a bit pretentious. It woulda been more professional ("big time") if they didn't use Soundtrack stock music and Andrew Kramer AE tutorial tips...not to metion if Joe didn't elevate himself to the rest of the world by having a "secret life." The sad thing is that you guys are sooo smart and spend years in schooling, but us editors make $100+ per hour, and keep this country running. I still have the transistor radio I built from scratch at 7 from parts at Radio Shack...Good luck with that now. It sure would be nice for me and my kid to build our own I-pod. When I was in the 5th grade, my dad and I built a transistor radio out of a toilet paper cardboard roll and some wire for my science project. Imagine that, a fucking deaf kid showing a radio at a science fair! ~prolly didn't work, nobody had the heart to tell ya! I bet he got first place! You know what? That same TRS-80 computer is still in the original packaging in my folks' basement! I still have the transitor radio I built from scratch at 7 from parts at Radio Shack...Good luck with that now. It sure would be nice for me and my kid to buy parts for our own I-pod and not have to buy it at a 300% markup. ...sorry to keep being so negative.
