Not in Ron-world. Works give me assurance of my faith. It is safe to say that I have absolutely no assurance that I'm a Christian right now. If I don't walk the talk, then there is a GREAT possibility that I'm not a Christian. ...and ya, I could say that I once had this amazing experience and that experience was later validated by the scripture, works and the testimony of other believers, but I can't rely on that. If you want assurance and experience the power and grace of God, you must continually walk the talk. It's a defense mechanism...I'm a terrible Christian. I've experienced the glories of God and have exchanged them for my own carnality. I am absolutley miserable, despite having everything I want...there is no choice for me but to acknowledge my downfall and return to Grace. That in itself proves to me that I am in fact a Christian...but only if I return. If I wasn't...I'd be happy as a pig in shit...literally. So in regards to your OP, was that just a flat out lie... No, I was very young...like 4-6 years old. The level to which our thoughts and curiosites played out will be left to your imagination. In many cases, the pressure was forced upon me... What I regret most is my preception of sex created by that force at such a young age. My buddies and I would make out with chicks at nap time when we were all in kindergarten. Then I would go home and have these bizzare sexual encounters with a girl down the street and her sister. All three girls ended up ruining their lives by becomming teenage mothers later in life. I can't help to think that I am somehow responsible for that. I'm only speaking for myself...feel free to speak if you're offended. When I was young, sex was pretty much a free for all. We just did whatever, we knew no better.
