Fine I concede...customer's always right I guess. I suppose if it was trully bad service then I guess I can't blame you too much. I just think that in most cases people are just cheap and being too picky. I still probably would've given her a $1 or so, or tried to make her day a lil better...I'm not as big an asshole in real life as I am in these forums. Not as lame as your excuses for not tipping. They did not hold a gun to your head and make you sit in the corner under a drippy air conditioner...that is your fault...you could've moved. It is not her fault the poutine was disgusting. (as if it's such a delicacy to begin with...[rolls eyes] It's not her fault that you would actually pay $12 for that crap. (unbelivable) The waitress is just taking the brunt of punishement for a bad cook, bad management and your bad decisions. The only thing that I agree with is that the waitress should not have complained to you in public about not receiving a tip...that is just as tacky and tasteless as not tipping. How do you know the bad service was the fault of the server? Many people would say "ah...bad food, no tip." "I had to wait too long...no tip" These common issues have nothing to do with the server. The patrons do not have enough information to judge the server...they are not qualified. If you have a problem, take it up with management...not some stressed out single mother of 3 kids trying to make a decent wage working for some cheap ass douche bag that's pocketing your cash from some shitty food cooked by some sloppy ass bastard making 15-20+ bucks an hour.
