Nah, they'll just go to the ER and have the people foot the bill, and then have their lawyers ask why you didn't treat their pre-existing which we all know is the REAL problem here. Agree? Don't agree? Good, see you in court asshole!
  2. I heard the hills are alive with the sound of music. . . . . .and apparently no Nazis either!
  3. Obviously not a fan of The Cars. . .
  4. There's a difference between wisdom and intelligence. But I guess there's also a difference between actually acquiring wisdom and simply saying something wise, especially if it's on accident. . .
  5. Wisest philosopher might be pushing it a touch there ..... It's just the scary truth of humanity, and everyone knows it.
  6. Right, because there's already a solution. "As of today, it is now policy on The Rookie that all gunfire on set will be Air Soft guns with CG muzzle flashes added in post," Hawley continued. "There will be no more 'live' weapons on the show. The safety of our cast and crew is too important. Any risk is too much risk." That decision was made 1 day after the rust shooting. People can make it as difficult or as easy as they want. If you want to spend a load of money on state of the art equipment for the best cg possible, great - there are even ways to offset the cost. If you don't, that's fine too - there are plenty of options where the sacrifice in quality is negligible and won't make or break your B movie anyway. The people saying quality cg still looks shitty are mostly professionals breaking it down frame by frame and comparing any flaws to their subjective view of both reality and perfection - It's not worth dying for.
  7. I agree, this guy's a dipship. . .but Biden's pretty hilarious. From Article: He's on a roll!
  8. Ya, they pulled a fast one on old Joe. Would've been cool if he just said "ah, fuck me"
  9. Nice Resumes of those in charge: "Responsible for overseeing all weapons on set was the production's property key assistant and armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, daughter of long-time industry armorer Thell Reed.[6] Rust was Gutierrez-Reed's second film serving as lead armorer. On her first film, The Old Way, several crew members complained about her handling of firearms, including an incident in which she discharged a weapon without warning and caused lead actor Nicolas Cage to walk off set.[7] Dave Halls was the assistant director. In the aftermath of the incident, former colleagues reported that Halls faced complaints in 2019 about his behavior on two episodes of Into the Dark, in which he disregarded safety protocols, and ignored blocked exits and fire lanes.[8][9] In the same year, Halls had been fired from working on the film Freedom's Path after a firearm discharged unexpectedly on set, wounding a crew member.[10][11] On the set of the independent film One Way, a crew member warned producers about Halls's disregard for safety measures and said, "That man is a liability. He's going to fucking kill someone someday, and you're going to be responsible."[12] The Hollywood Reporter reported a number of complaints raised during the production of 2019's The Tiger Rising, which also featured Rust executive producers Ryan Donnell Smith, Allen Cheney, Emily Hunter Salveson, and Ryan Winterstern.[13]" (note: I didn't check the references yet) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rust_shooting_incident A $35 dollar amateur set of real muzzle flashes could've saved that woman's life. So easy even the kids are doing it these days:
  10. Hey, psssst......want some Pfizer? They make some great shit. Lookie here....... https://www.pfizerpro.com/products I glanced quickly thinking it was a link to the blue pill, then I had to do a double take. I honestly thought the first one said BoneFIX®
  11. The only change Hollywood needs to make is to not point a weapon directly at people. If the cameras' on your right, you shoot two inches left of the person and if the cameras' on your left . . . Plus look past the shot to make sure nothing is in the path. There's really no excuse for it. This has happened before and plenty of safety measure have been put in place to prevent it. Besides, it's completely unnecessary. Adding muzzle flash and sound fx in post is an amateur task, an intern could do it.
  12. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year. Did it have a Satan Clause in it?
  13. By golly, be jolly! Don't get your tinsel in a tangle. Is it too late to be good? Be naughty, save Santa the trip. Santa’s flying in the skies; Watch out for reindeer pies. It's beginning to cost a lot like Christmas. Don't blame the holidays, you were fat in August. Christmas morning she'll be happier with a hoover.
  14. So you start thread about the positives of religion to show everyone one that you're not as big a bigot as you sound, and then when given multiple opportunities to prove it, you just ignore them and double down on your narrow-minded view. You rock!
  15. Here, from Phil's handbook of christian denominations: "Evangelical christianity. They call themselves christians but they're no more christian than Al-Baghdadi is a Muslim. For all of them its about a political ideology that overrides the law and any commandments of christ." "Evangelicals have found a new home along with Neo-nazis and white supremacists. So they are right at home. Its kind of all warm and fuzzy for them all."
  16. Then stop acting like it. You've shown nothing but complete intolerance and utter contempt for an entire religious group; and coming in here and starting a thread about how all these other religious groups are better than them probably isn't the best way to show how you're not "substantially anti-christian/religious." (whatever the hell that means. . .and calling it that doesn't make it any less bigoted.) A common theme among the narrow-minded is their inability to see the value of the individual within the particular group they're targeting. Starting a thread that highlights your refusal to acknowledge anything good among american evangelicals in a vain attempt to alienate and dehumanize ALL of them is a perfect example of this.
  17. Merry Christmas to you too! thanks, lol.
  18. Thanks, having him limit it to every other post would be a good start.
  19. It started out with, "As Christmas approaches its time to celebrate the good work that some within this religion do." I choose to take it at face value. Phil & I have had our spirited differences, but I read nothing in his post that sounded like a setup. Sometimes a rose is just a rose. I've talked with Phil enough to know that he's a pretty thoughtful dude and understands the value of self reflection, so no doubt I have faith that deep, deep. . .deep down somewhere in Phil's heart, you're right. In the mean time, note how he said "the good work that some within religion do." which in the very next sentence refers to "Those who choose to put US right wing white nationalism aside." "the stain that other segments allied with US political interests have spread." Now if all he was talking about were white supremacists, fine, but we see right there that he's just doing the same shit he always does, but in a more passive aggressive way. Instead of comparing evangelicals to liberals, he's comparing evangelicals to "some within religion" that have the "potential" to do good work. And it's no mystery he's referring to all evangelicals. He's broad brushed "all evangelicals" before, and he just admitted how the "self interests of Evangelical Christians comes to the fore of [his] positions." So it's a one track mind - everything is twisted to fit that that limited, perhaps even bigoted mindset. Nevermind the "self interests" of any other conservative, right? But it doesn't stop there. Soon he's broad brushing any conservative that disagrees with him and making assumptions about their religion, even known atheists in this forum. Then comes all the rambling and white supremacist links that have nothing to do with what we were talking about. I mean if this was truly about the good of religion, why did he feel the need to add those comments? This is just an extension of the China thread when for absolutely no reason, he starts going off talking some shit about intellectual curiosity, math, debate skills, and how my ego comes to the fore when my religious beliefs are exposed for what they are. Then I asked him wtf any of that had to do with what we were talking about, and then his very next post is him starting this thread. lmao. But whatever, if this really is about good works and Phil's now saying that he's ok with people like the machine gun preacher, then all's good! https://www.facebook.com/MGP/videos/our-country-has-already-grown-so-much-under-president-donald-j-trumps-leadership/307057716558653/
  20. Hey Ron! Nice to be back. This place has the tendency to bring out the conservative in me - it's entrenching like that. Hope everything is going well. Shalyn's still with me, fighting now for 5+ years. There's still a decline that brings tears to my eyes, but we're working on it.
  21. Right, people like Sam Childers (Machine Gun Preacher) that went to fight the LRA in South Sudan, rescuing kidnapped children, housing orphans, and building farms/schools when nobody else would help. But if he came in here with all his Churching, support for Trump, guns and border control, you'd give him the same boiler plate bullshit you give every other conservative, ( religious or not) how he's just another scared white supremacist Jesus freak afraid of loosing his identity. Until that type of shit stops, we really don't have much to discuss.
  22. It's a faux olive branch, hand assembled of polyester and plastic, piss on it.
