  1. Thanks for the info, I feel better about buying it now. Just one last question though. How much quicker are the toggle turns?? My Sabre 170 isn't all that fast...... Last question: On straight in front risers what kind of distance do you think I could get (no wind) and remember it's a 170.
  2. I have been flying an old Sabre 170 and just bought a Katana 170. After reading all the postings about "how it falls outa the sky" I'm getting a little concerned. I'll be loading it at 1.35 and I can't see myself doing hook turns at 44. I just want a fun zippy canopy. Can this beast be flow straight in and get a good landing? I should be getting it in a few days............
  3. I haven't flown video in 10 year so the equipment is obviously newer and better now. What would you guys recommend for for a good setup (camcorder and helmet). I have a Nikon D300 for stills but I know nothing about camcorders. I want something I don't need to trade in next year... Thanks guys !!! Scott
  4. Thanks to you and all the others for the advice, I feel better about the canopy now!
  5. I just got a mint condition Sabre 1 170 and I'm worried I might be too heavy for it. I weigh 190 lbs. and that puts the wing loading at about 1.3 I can't seem to find anything from PD for maximum weight. Does anyone know what the specs are for the old Sabre? Not too worried about handling more so about it blowing up. thanks for the help Scooter.....
  6. Friendly experienced staff, but it's a tandem factory. If you want to progress and take up skydiving as a hobby then be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. Camping is crude no water, hydro, septic, just a piece of grass.
