  1. I believe it was a representative democratic republic, where by we elect representatives on our behalf, they do our bidding and therefore we don't have to vote on every little thing. The reason this was originally done was because the technology wasn't there to take a popular vote, the same reason why we have the electoral college for elections. Well, guess what...........we now have the technology. Time to move forward. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  2. I can't say that I agree on that statement. As a democratic government the number one force behind the decisions made by the leadership should be the will of the people. When the leadership doesn't listen to the people it's working for, then it becomes something completely different and it is no longer democracy. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  3. Ahh, history.....the study of the past, it's affects on the present, and it's possible affects on the future. Whatever it may have been designed as, we have to "evolve" as a society and work towards betterment. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  4. Should and are might be two different things, but the only thing that will right that is a lot more people realizing what should is supposed to be. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  5. Opinions vary. not that it's any of your business, but no. That's a great attitude for the betterment of society. It's not my perspective, therefore it's stupid. I think it's time to grow up.......the world does not revolve around you. As I said, you can take any meaning out of it you want. You wanna get your panties in a bunch, feel free to. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  6. Sorry, but great leadership does not and will not ever work this way. Doing otherwise will only give you a compass that constantly changes direction forcing you to constantly modify your position to try and be in the majority or make everyone happy. As the song says, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything" And that's how democracy should work.......the leadership takes the vote of the people and does it's will. If the leadership were to do whatever it wanted that would not be democracy, it would be more like fascism or if one leader were to have all the power it would be a dictatorship. Not taking everyone's perspective and getting a result from just your own would be a gross failure of leadership. ...and you're in violation of your face!

  8. Whoa, time to switch to decaf. I never said these people didn't exist. I said that I meant the quote as a joke. And I'm not trying to come up with a bunch of bs justifications for anything. I'm trying to see things from everybody's perspective rather than just my own. Like I said.....you need to take everybody's perspective and then construct a happy medium for everybody. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  9. Good point. I suppose there are several sides to the whole issue. The government is trying to make money and at the same time get people of their backs. The family members, victims, and people affected by the negative impact of firearms are trying to find a way to lower the amount of gun crimes. And there are average people who just want to be able to have some fun shooting and hunting. Is there a perfect answer, I don't think so. People will always complain. It's just a matter of finding a happy medium for everybody. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  10. Well, it's just like when you tell your girl "that looks nice"........and her response is "what's wrong with it". You can take any meaning out of it you want, but that's not the way that I intended it to be. So unbunch your panties, don't worry.....nobody it's trying to up the price on your ammo, at least not from this keyboard. ...and you're in violation of your face!

  16. Here's something off of Suunto's website (note the bold and underlined text) talking about a skydiving team that uses one of their watches for skydiving. "The Red Devils" and Suunto Vector As with their parachute training, the Red Devils make no compromises when it comes to safety and equipment - only the very best will do. The Red Devils use Suunto Vector since 2005 as a secondary device. Although the product is not officially certified for skydiving use, Suunto altimeters have proven to be extremely accurate in thousands of jumps. Additionally the Vector just looks cool and we like the whole concept behind it. ...and you're in violation of your face!

  18. The earlier you eat the better......that first, apple...omelet or whatever is actually what starts your metabolism. So if you skip breakfast, you don't start burning calories til you eat something. Our bodies aren't setup to take 3 meals of mass calories a day.......your body needs nutrients throughout the day spaced out. So by eating meals spaced out every 3 hours you're keeping your metabolism going......it slows down when it has nothing to process.......and keeping your body filled with the stuff it needs. As far as your hunger.........you're now exercising more and eating healthier. Your body isn't accustomed to this. It's like chinese food, most people are hungry thirty minutes later again because their body is so accustomed to a majority of their meal being meat or starches, not vegetables or fruit. Plus, with the exercise you're burning more calories and with the eating good you're probably eating less calories. It'll take a bit for your body to adjust. Drink lots of water and try no calorie snacks like celery. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  19. You're right, weight loss and/or fitness does not require a special plan or diet..........sort of. Depending on what you're trying to do. If you're looking to drop a few, let me restate that...few pounds and normally don't do any form of fitness. Then going on a thirty minute walk a day will help a lot. But if you're trying to burn off a midget and a half then that walk alone isn't gonna do it. Example: You take in 3,000 calories a day and through exercise and living throughout the day you burn off 2,500.................you still have an extra 500 calories that's going to get stored....as, you guessed it, fat. In this example a diet change is necessary. It's the lady in front of you at the fast food counter who's order goes a little something like this....."I'll take a number 5, a number 7, jumbo size them both, and I'll have a diet coke". And then walks for 30 minutes. The diet soda, while it might knock off a couple hundred calories isn't really the main problem. Just cause you start drinking diet soda and walk for 30 minutes doesn't mean you can eat whatever you want. You have to do the math.....if you are trying to lose weight the amount of calories that you put in needs to be exceeded by the number of calories that you burn off.............if that isn't happening, you're not losing weight or fat. With the exercise you would be helping your fitness level, but not dropping weight.....actually, you'd probably gain a little weight because you might gain some muscle, which is heavier than fat. In short terms, a diet and exercise plan helps keep you on track............especially if it's laid out for you. You can essentially check each activity off for the day rather than playing the self defeating game of......."well, I don't have to walk thirty minutes today I can just walk 15.". Get a plan, stick to the plan, achieve your goals. ...and you're in violation of your face!
  20. http://www.stewsmith.com/45dayplan.pdf Here's something that might help. It's a full 45-day plan. And the nice thing is that he includes everything.....motivation, stretching, exercise, and diet. 22. Can't say that I've ever seen the show, but it sounds like a lot of glam and drama...........there's no need to drink elephant poo juice. If that's what he's into that's his business and I'm sure that it helps ratings. But if you want real knowledge on the subject, study from experts in the field...like Tom Brown Jr., he's trained all sorts of special forces guys and written several books. Never once has he referred to "the best place to get water in the desert is the poo of an elephant". ...and you're in violation of your face!

  24. There's a lot of diets out there and a lot of BS so watch out what you're doing to yourself....you could cause yourself a lot of pain for temporarily dropping a couple of pounds just to put them back on in a week. Number one mistake that most people make is to just start working out like nuts and drop their calorie intake to some ridiculously low number.....the effect is that you put a lot of strain on your body and start dropping water weight, but since your body's alarm goes off because your calories dropped below a sustainable amount it starts collecting anything it gets and stores it as fat. So you get dehydrated and gain fat and start burning up muscle trying to survive. Then when you get off your diet you start drinking and eating again normally.....well, that water weight and muscle that you lost that made you think you were losing weight.....it goes up real quick and since your body stored up all that fat..............Ta DA, you gained more weight, lost muscle, and gained fat. Tips: 1. Talk to you doctor before you start any new exercise plan. There's no sense in starting a diet if it's gonna kill you or ruin your liver. 2. Eat Healthy and keep your daily calorie count in between 1,500 and 1,700. That way your body doesn't think it's starving and lets you burn some calories and not just water and muscle. Also, eat five to six meals a day....this way your body isn't bombarded with an excessive amount of calories at once. So for instance if you did five meals, 300 calories a meal and then you could use 200 calories in the evening for a snack. 3. Drink lots of water. Don't drink 8 gallons a day, but somewhere between 4 to 8 quarts a day. Water flushes your systems and cleans all that old crap out. 4. Exercise.....you don't need to run a triathalon or spend 10 hours on a treadmill a day. Your body works like an engine and think of fat and food as fuel.....first you gotta burn off the food and then your body moves to the fat. You gotta burn off more calories through exercise than you intake (eat) on a daily basis. Then after you drop your goal weight move to only exercising 3 days a week to maintain that weight. Also note that cardio or weight training alone is not the quickest way to lose weight........you lose more weight by doing a little of both. Like I said, You don't need to over do it, little by little.......it's unhealthy to drop a lot of weight at once and you have the rest of your life to drop it. You should be able to ruin through your workout in about 30 minutes and then another 30 minutes of cardio and you're all good. 5. Keep a journal/logbook......just like skydiving. Keep a record of your exercises, what you ate for each day, and record your weight each day. That way you can track your progress. And be honest, sneaking in a snack isn't gonna hurt anyone except you.....then again you can have snacks, just sacrifice a little throughout the day and save up the calories that you don't use. 6. Returning to normal....another big mistake people make when finishing a weight reduction program is "Great I lost all the weight, now I can get back to eating those lovely cheeseburgers". Wrong! With age, loss of metabolism, bad genetics....whatever it is...........going back to the same routine will get you in the same predicament you just got yourself out of. Treat yourself every once in a while, but the key is moderation. It's as simple as that........that's the secret to any new exercise plan that allows you to drop weight in a healthy manner. It's up to you, your determination and no one else. Good luck, keep safe....but most of all have fun. PS - if you're new to the fitness thing or aren't sure where to start, feel free to drop me a line. I'm not a personal trainer, but I can give you some tips.....there's a lot of good info out there. ...and you're in violation of your face!
