I was interested in finding out how wing suit flyers were folding their pilot chutes with the longer bridle. After a bird man jump on saturday, I was packing my rig, and as I started to stow my pilot chute I wondered about the way I was doing it. The question that I asked my self was when I throw my pilot chute, is all that extra bridle being thrown out with it, or is the wind pulling it out? If all that bridle isn't being "thrown" out, what good is it doing? I was folding my pilot chute and then S folding the bridle on top of it and putting it in the pouch. After thinking about it, I started folding my pilot chute with at least part of the bridle folded inside, so when I threw it, the bridle was being thrown as well. How do ya like it Johnny?

At my home drop zone, CRW is almost completely, totally, non-existant. It is something that has always interested me, and I would love to do it. Anybody have any ideas on how I can spark some interest at my home DZ? I was a part of the Kitty Hawk demo last month and there was an impressive crew team there. There were also two Navy Seals that was doing some nice crew stuff until they got scolded for it. I have a couple of questions for anybody out there that cares to answer. What is a cross connector? What is special about crew toggles, and why do crew dogs sometimes have them hanging out the back of their rigs. Its kind of scary looking. I understand about the non cascading a lines, is there any thing else special about a crw rig? Thanks How do ya like it Johnny?

The Strong "Tridem" rig that I did my cut away on for my tandem rating was set up like a tandem rig. The first main was a normal hand deploy. The cut away and reserve (actually 2nd main) were just like the Strong tandem cut away reserve handles. High and outboard. If for some reason that failed, you had plan C, which was just like a normal skydiving rig. For any body out there that is going to do it, do a test jump or throw a streamer first to judge the winds, or you might be climbing a tree to get the canopy like I did. How do ya like it Johnny?

It is not an issue with looking cool or anything like that. I have no problems with the large risers or rings. It is strictly for convenience, in case I want to transfer the canopy to my other rig as I sometimes do. I would like opinions of any riggers out there. How do ya like it Johnny?

If you have a harness/container that is made for the larger Three rings, is it not a good idea to change your risers to mini risers with the little rings? I have seen people with rigs like that, but I heard someone make a comment that you should never do that. I don't remember why. How do ya like it Johnny?

Have you ever seen the new camera system that the networks use at a lot of NFL games now. The camera suspends above the field on a network of cables. The playoff games all use them, and during the regular season it was used for select games. Saturday night I was at the Panthers/Cowboys game, and could see that it would probably eliminate any chance of demos into NFL games. I bet it is only a matter of time before this camera system is use at every NFL game. By the way, "how bout them cowboys" How do ya like it Johnny?
