  1. Ah yeah... I remember those, just didn't remember what they were called.
  2. I literally JUST purchased a brand new Sabre2 190 (only put 1 jump on it) and Im already looking for the canopy I want to buy at the end of the next season. Muff #5048
  3. Fan of the 'ol Family Guy are ya? Muff #5048
  4. Have to work fucking 12 hour days every day this week. Theres nothing fun about working 20 hours more than you usually do and not recieving any sort of compensation, but hey thats one of those things us military types have to accept. I'm still gonna bitch about it though. Muff #5048
  5. Check both ebay and the classifieds here on dizzy. They do make different leangth risers. I have the exacy same problem, but my rig is almost (but not quite) too big. I have long arms so I dont have trouble reaching my dive loops or toggles. Muff #5048
  6. Absolutely. They make "Over the Glasses" goggles that work quite nicely and whatever dz you go to should have 1 or 2 pairs of them for you to use. Here's the ones I usually use. Muff #5048
  7. The same can be said for cars, planes, chainsaws, parachutes, farm machinery etc.... Muff #5048
  8. Welcome to our legal form of crack. And yeah what Skymama said, gear is still a ways off for you yet. Focus on that AFF. Muff #5048
  9. whine, whine, whine...... Did my part too. Complain, Complain, Complain... I have contributed. Muff #5048
  10. When I was stationed in AK we actually had a real hospital and not just a clinic. Difficult exams were the order of the day (specially during winter). But here at this clinic its same 'ol stuff day in and day out. Kind of feels good to know I still have it. Muff #5048
  11. So I just had to do a PA/LAT chest x-ray on a 14 y/o patient with cerebral palsy. I got really creative on how to accomplish the task (no way possible to do it the "by the book" way) and got it knocked out without a single repeat! Sometimes the most challenging exams are the most rewarding.
  12. MUCH. You can pick up a set of risers for like 50 bucks all day long. Muff #5048
  13. They can get a valid driver license in NC. What else is required as identification for voting? Having turned 18 in a non-election year and joining the military shortly after I'm only aware of the way we vote. Muff #5048
  14. Looks like Ill be playing video games that night then. Muff #5048
  15. At least give Heinlein the proper attribution here. (or the screenwriter for Starship Troopers) I think Kallend has covered the poor wisdom in such a strategy. Thats what origionally gave me the idea, but I really couldn't find any flaw with it. Back to the subject at hand though how does one ensure that whomever IS voting is a US citizen? Say the bum on the street for example. He should still be able to vote if he is a legal citizen, but how does he prove it? Furthermore, how would you keep illegals from voting in the US while letting the bum who was born and raised here in the US and is, by law, a citizen vote? Muff #5048
  16. Of course you DO realize that packing an old worn out canopy is a totally different thing than packing a brand new one. Practice with the stuff you're getting (which was pretty cool of folks to hook you up with) to get the technique down then when you are at the dz see if someone with a newer setup will let you practice on theirs during some downtime. Thats how I learned anyway. Muff #5048
  17. I dont know. I wasnt there and dont remember reading anything about that being some sort of policy. Muff #5048
  18. I think one should have to serve one term in the military (any branch) to be able to vote. If you dont defend it, you dont get a say in how its run. Muff #5048
  19. No. Just the card carrying NRA members. That would be like me saying "I'm against everyone who have a political bumper sticker on their car telling me who to vote for". Muff #5048
  20. 62 isn't old. Yes it is. 25 isn't old. "Never trust anyone over 25". 1960s mantra. Of course, you wouldn't remember. Of course. I wasn't alive in the 60's. Muff #5048
  21. Nope. Not unless he earns your forgivness, but before that can happen he has to earn your trust back and that is somethig that once lost is VERY VERY difficult to regain. Muff #5048
  22. I stand corrected. I guess I had remembered it from the training not from having the SIM memorized by chapter numbers. Why memorize? This is way easier. http://www.uspa.org/ Muff #5048
  23. 62 isn't old. Yes it is. 25 isn't old. Muff #5048
  24. Thats actually got me to thinking. How, exactly, do they come up with ratings? I listen to primarily 3 different radio stations in my car everyday. How the hell do the "raters" know what Im listening to at any given moment? Muff #5048
