  1. Nope. I sleep just fine. You might want to ask other posters that question as I'm not the one throwing the salami to a mod. And for the record you are saying that PA'S are ok so long as they're veiled under the guise of "I didn't mean you directly"? Muff #5048
  2. And yet nothing about PA's. You can say people support the murder of children or even go so far as to call NRA members terrorists without a peep from a mod. Guess that happens when you're sleeping with a mod. Can say whatever you want, and all you ever get is the endless supply of "one warnings". Muff #5048
  3. And thank the fuck Christ you don't write legislation. Oh, and thanks for the veiled personal attack claiming that I support the killing of children. Really mature of you. Muff #5048
  4. You do realize that a flintlock musket is also a military weapon? Are you saying those should go as well? Anyway one of the shops here is having a sale on AR lowers. Time to buy a few more. Muff #5048
  5. Absolutely hilarious that the Rs control the House, the Senate and the White House, yet cannot get anything done. Their "leadership" abilities are shown clearly on this crap. And of course, rather than actually admitting that they failed miserably in this - they only needed a simple majority to pass it - they blame the Ds. So, by blaming "Schumer", they admit that the party that has a minority in the House, a minority in the Senate and zero presence in the WH has more power to control the government than they do. Hilarious. You're fucking retarded if you think this. Muff #5048
  6. The presedent has not taken a paycheck since the election. Muff #5048

Hilarious. Ok, I'm going to assume that you're an un-educated individual on this. The "R's" don't control the senate here (at least not without the nuclear option). There aren't enough votes even if every R votes to pass this thing. Also, the D want this whole DACA shit and wont agree to pass a spending bill without an agreement to pass DACA in the future. The D are the ones putting illegals ahead of our military, VA, gov contractors, park rangers etc... Muff #5048
  8. What I find unfortunate is that while these "shutdowns" affect people like me directly (WRT being paid on time) is that the people in congress still receive a paycheck. If it were up to me they wouldn't be exempt. Guess we'll see if I'm able to pay my mortgage on the first. Muff #5048
  9. What does your noise pollution footprint have to do with "More mass shootings"? (Is there something you haven't told us about what you shoot at?) Not that I was talking to you, but "More Mass Shootings" (or the politicizing of them) ARE making it rather difficult for ANY ease of all facets of firearm related regulation. That includes ease of regulation on laws governing the acquisition of suppressors. Muff #5048
  10. What does that have to do with what I posted? I'm trying to decrease my noise pollution footprint. Muff #5048
  11. Good. Now if they'll just pass the HPA so I don't have to wait for my suppressor. I seriously don't understand what's so bad about putting a muffler on my gun to provide me with a more enjoyable day at the range. Muff #5048
  12. Actually, ARP head studs and EFI Live tunes are the most common. Muff #5048
  13. I know many folks who have deleted their egr. Wanna hazard a guess as to how many of them have been fined for it? Muff #5048
  14. I work for a commercial electrical contractor, yes LED is now the standard. Besides the low draw you're able to downsize many of the components within the system to include wiring, breakers, etc, etc and it allows much more direct control of the system with such things as dimming, occupancy sensors, and daylight sensors in perimeter space. Basically, it's way beyond feel-good environmental stuff. This is what I was most impressed with when we redid our basement. A 15 amp circuit is good for about 1800 watts and with you planning for about 80% of that you are limited to about no more than 1400 watts per circuit. That really means about 10 lights (100 watt each) at max since you figure an outlet or two on the same circuit you are approaching max. With the LED's only costing you 14 watts each you could get 70 lights per circuit or so to get to the same max loading. 200 amp panels are now total overkill for a home and you can run as many lights as you would want almost. 12 gauge wire is not needed as much either since there are fewer 20 amp circuits needing to be ran for the lights so you can run cheaper 14 gauge wires. Or in my case, running a 15A miter saw on the same circuit to cut flooring, trim ect. Muff #5048
  15. What did each bulb cost, compared to a conventional incandescent bulb? That comparison can't be made due to the fact that none of the fixtures are rated to handle 100W incandescent bulbs. I'm getting 100W brightness for 15W of consumption. The manufacturer claims a 13 year bulb life at an average use of 3 hrs/day, but time will tell how long they last in the real world. And I paid ~$13 per 2pk. Muff #5048
  16. So I've been improving my basement. I've done a bit of work with the drywall, flooring, new receptacles and all the shit that is involved with all that work. One thing I did was replace the lights. I purchased 100W (equivilant) LED bulbs. I figured I'd try them in the basement before I committed to the whole house. I'm impressed!!! The bulbs are bright almost instantly and according to the package they should last around 10 years. They also only draw 15W of power so they beat incandescent bulbs there. If the enviro people want people to get on board with "saving the planet "solutions, they should follow this route. I don't care about the environment, but when showed a cost/benefit for a consumable such as a light this makes sense. Now I need to go murder some baby seals in CA... Muff #5048
  17. You want power? A Stihl 880 ought to do it for you. https://www.stihlusa.com/products/chain-saws/professional-saws/ms880/ Muff #5048
  18. You don't need to fix everything all at once... You don't even need to 'fix' (meaning zero out) anything at once - it's OK to make incremental improvements. Is your stance that unless we can remove ALL gun deaths in the country then we shouldn't do anything at all? Because that's what makes people go 'well, banning every gun ever' is the only solution. The suggestion I had on remotely locked weapons would almost entirely cut out the public mass-shootings and a whole bunch of criminal shootings, but wouldn't do anything about domestic murder or suicide - and I'd be absolutely fine with that. That's my cut-off point. You'd have your right to shoot yourself at home if you chose, with whatever piece of your arsenal you want, and the domestic murders are a price I'm willing to sacrifice to meet gun rights people halfway in order to stop the mass-killings and cut down on criminal activity. ...But you heard HooknSwoop - his desire to be able to shoot guns whenever and wherever he wants is more important that the almost certain reduction in those types of deaths. I feel the same as him. In fact, I think there should be less regulations on firearms. IMO, lawful gun owners have come way more than half way already. Muff #5048
  19. Why 20%? How did you arrive to that number being "good deal"? Some would say unless the rate of firearm death is zero then enough isn't being done. And how do you fix the firearm suicide issue? There have been 21,386 suicides by firearms according to (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/suicide.htm). Muff #5048
  20. And where would "we" stop. Muff #5048
  21. Go away unless you have something of substance to add. Muff #5048
  22. So this subject has been in here for a bit. I've got a couple questions about what has actually happened. Why did this guy have so many guns in his room that he did not use? Why are all the guns found in his room guns that the left wants banned? Why would this guy kill himself before the authorities entered the room? Why is the media focused on "bump stocks" which are very inaccurate? Why did all of this happen on the heels of legislation making supressors easier to get? Muff #5048
  23. Yes. I hope so as well. I hope nobody dies needlessly due to a mental illness, or through poor decision making. BTW, why use "innocent" twice when referring to the same subject in a single sentence? Muff #5048
  24. Agree to disagree I guess. You have your opinions on firearm restrictions, and I have mine. At least for now I can still buy all the toys I wish and manufacture as many hundreds of thousands of rounds I wish.
