rape defendant from 'good family' deserves leniency
millertime24 replied to JerryBaumchen's topic in Speakers Corner
So if I claimed something like "Billvon raped me at a boogie" I would be believed? I'm simply trying to figure out where the line is drawn here. -

Accounts? As in "he said she said"? I asked for proof. Are you unable to provide any? -

Remind me, what has Kavanaugh done? And please provide proof, not "he said she said". -
Yeah, I dont speak Spanish, but the underlying question is "who is paying for all this free stuff"?

Define "better". Better for whom? Better how? Better at the expense of what?

How did you get that out of anything I wrote?

Cool. If it seems a good fit regarding your veiws/values then I suggest you seek Norwegian citizenship.

Green new deal equals magical thinking

Is this your own work or did you read it elsewhere? I only ask because I see no cited source. To some, that could be interpreted as plagiarism. Reminds me of Ozzy for some reason -

So you hypothesize the earth will be destroyed by some other phenomena before the sun exhausts all of its fuel? Interesting. -

Care to explain how solar will never run out? I've seen MANY scientists who disagree. -
The same.

100-500k on mileage before battery replacement is quite impressive, but you never answered as to how much they cost to replace. So I'm guessing by your reply that the motors, servos, relays and sensors last a long time. That's pretty cool. If they can make it economically viable to make a cross country trip with no detours to charge I can kind of get on board. Again though, my state offeres no subsidy for buying an EV. There is also a huge lack of places to charge the car without going out of my way. I'm curious now about the charging part. How does payment work for that? Is it similar to how you are charged for your electric bill for your house? -

I'll ask again, what are these incentives and where do they come from? -

I guess another question I have is what do routine MX replacement parts cost on EV (not tires brakes etc. I'm talking parts comparible to, say, a water pump, alternator etc.)? -

What are these incentives and where do they come from? Edit- what gas car is comparible in performance to a model 3? -

Just out of curiosity, how long does this EV take to charge? Because it takes me roughly 5-7 min to fill my car from 1/4 tank to full. Then I can drive about 350 miles at 75mph before I'm at 1/4 tank again. As an aside, how long do the batteries last before replacement is neccessary? How much do replacement batteries cost? I've never had to replace a fuel tank on a car. Not even my 67 Chevelle. Finally, how much does an EV cost to purchase vs its comparible petrol vehicle? I get that people want us to move away from petroleum based fuel, but until electric becomes as economical for me (the end user) as petroleum, no thanks. -

Really? Which one takes more time to refuel? -

Quote/ OK. Then it would be interesting to see your Accord against a P100D with the track update. Quote. I agree in a miles driven over the course of 24 hours test. Refueling each vehicle as needed. -

Those hats though. Never really understood the reasoning behind them. -
At 35 years old I can say I have not experienced this (at least not in this way). My experience comes from deployment by the military when real active threats could end me. In any case I've adopted the fact that everyone dies at some point in time. What matters to me is how to enrich/enhance the lives of my loved ones with the time I'm given. Everyone deals with it differently. Took a rocket attack for me to realize what's really important. For others its watching children grow up. Either way I would say do the best you can with the time you have, and not dwell on how much time you may have left. Muff #5048

I tiled my bar downstairs having never done it before. It was pretty straight forward. You'll need a tile saw (harbor freight works great), tile spacers, thinset (its the tile adhesive), grout, a level or straight edge, bucket for mixing materials, a mixer attachment for a drill, notched trowel, grout float, and a couple sponges. All in all I was in to it for less than $1000.00. Just make sure your sub-floor is clean and prepped and mark your starting line exactly how it needs to be. Your start line will determine how the whole project will look when you're finished. Watch youtube vids on how to do it and mix your materials according to the instructions on the packages. Oh yeah, and knee pads. You'll want those too. Muff #5048

?? That is a difference of $143.00, or approximately 5-6 jump tickets. Muff #5048

That's the "beat them into submission" approach. I.e. wait until things are so bad that they change. Of course, sometimes they don't change. Another approach is to understand what the issues are that one can affect one's self (i.e. things I can impact that might have an effect on crime elsewhere). So in other words, rather than rich people waiting for poorer people to get so poor and downtrodden that they come begging, instead, rich people stop behaviors that increase division (like waiting for domestic help to get so cheap, or buying cool stuff just because it's cheap, when it might not be made here).
