    I agree with you but don't really have any options. It comes down to a matter of my 10 minutes or so of being uncomfortable each jump versus their complaining of back pain the rest of the day/night/next morning. If there was a camera flyer at my DZ who had no such issues, I'd try to jump with them as often as possible during the hot part of the season, but no such person exists. In any case, fall is here and it is ceasing to be an issue. Hopefully by next June there'll either be someone who's comfortable at somewhat faster freefall speeds or we'll have a ton of AFF students for me to play with and I can leave the tandems to others on the hot days.     SHWEET!!! DAVE FOR CONGRESS!!!! While I am running as a Libertarian, I'm going to have to borrow heavily from the Polish Beer-Lover's Party in building my platform. Unfortunately the results of yesterday's primary were announced today. Because I didn't get 1% of the vote, my name won't appear on the ballot.     Well, I went to the polls last night and got a bit concerned about another thing. The guy who gave me my ballot noted a unique identifying number for that ballot next to my name. He mostly convinced me that the ability to track the ballot would end when I turned it in, because we'd tear off the stub with that number, but it still seemed wierd. As for having to pick a party, I did as requested and voted Libertarian only. There was only one race with more than one candidate (US Senate). There were several races with no candidate running and a simple "You may write in a candidate if you wish." Well one of those races was for Congress, so I wrote myself in and am now running against Doc Hastings for the 4th congressional district. Blues, Dave "I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!"     You know, I seem to remember hearing two sides of this story, and nobody ever convinced me one way or the other as to whether that was really just an innocent little aspirin factory. Oh well, that's beside the point. For these purposes I'll assume the Republicans were correct that it was a bad hit. How many Americans died in the aspirin factory strike? For that matter, how many innocent Iraqi's died in the aspirin factory strike? Now how many Americans and innocent Iraqi's have died as a result of Bush's decision to invade Iraq?     I have the opposite issue with my camera men. All 3 that I routinely use are skinny little bastards that request I wear more suit. During the peak of summer I'd much rather wear just my FF pants and a t-shirt, but it's not worth listening to the complaints so instead I sit there and sweat from taxi-way till 3000+ feet.     Do you guys include anything about this kind of thing in your briefing? I fly real big so it's not real important to me what my student's do, but part of my briefing is that if they feel my heels kick them in the thighs like a rider spurring a horse, it's me reminding them to get their legs back. Then I exit & outfly them but have a way of quickly reminding them about their legs that makes my life easier (as opposed to wrestling/anklelocking).     I don't get it. Parts of my car produce energy and parts of my car consume energy. When I turn it off, the energy doesn't just disappear or go to heaven or any such thing...production and consumption stop simultaneously, leaving mass that represents potential energy until it is restarted.     Our's aren't pre-printed, we just print them with an inkjet. Instructor and video sign and put D numbers, and I occasionally write pro-track data on the back. We give them their certificate along with a bumper sticker and a coupon for a local sports bar & grill that will get them cheap food/drinks and let them play their video on the big screen.     I can think of a way to curb it...no federal assistance for weather damage to any homes or businesses that are constructed after the end of this year. If a person/business wants to move to Florida, they're free to, but the rest of us shouldn't have to pay for their decision if the weather gods smite them.     Nope, but given a lack of evidence either way, it would seem prudent to not kill tens of thousands of people, including >1000 of our own.
