damn you LisaH, ok so with much resentment i post my "beerline" story.... at 2k feet the winds were out of the south, at 300' the winds were dead, i turn onto final and at about 150' the winds are now out of the north. see where this is going? so i'm swooping the shit out of my sabre 2 170 now right towards the 16' blow up pool at elsinore. i'm either gonna hurt or make a splash. well with mounds of luck and some skill i manage to pop myself over the lip of the pool and at the same time as soon as my legs cleared the lip i stuck them right in and let go of my flare so it dumped me in the pool. w00t! crossed the beer line. shit i aint hiding, my point was simple, it was to repeat the fact that we all know, that this type of thing happens and that its stupid to have a separate thread on it that contributes nothing to the safety of the sport. you want to cry about this shit go to the 2 forums designated. yes it sucks for the families involved but if you aren't willing to take the risk then get out of the sport, in that aspect its a selfish sport. probably not, as you can probably just "feel it out" at the same time you cannot get exacts. you need to know where your stall points are and overstress points are, air-speed indicators help with that, the military wont fly with an in-op indicator like that. JewBag. www.jewbag.wordpress.com

lol, your DZ dont care i know that, but if you want to start trying out other DZ's in socal or in other locations you will need a log book and a uspa membership and license or you will not be allowed to jump til you get one. so really its up to you, if you think you may go to a few boogies i would say yes, if you plan on staying at Lodi then i say no, Bill dont give a shit.
