I visited a WWI cemetary near Metz last July. Not a blade of grass was out of place and I didn't see one iota of disrespect to the American soldiers buried there. I flipped through the registry and saw quite a few French visitors had signed in. Unfortunately, international politics is like everything else- we only hear from the extremes.

Don't forget the extremely hazardous nature of dihydrogenmonoxide. That stuff will kill you quick if you just breathe a little bit.

All work is respectable. Things are picking up. I find that peple have better attitudes when they are doing SOMETHING as opposed to nothing. -
Where's the option for 'whatever is on sale'?

That's a wonderful skydiver take on an equally wonderful poem. I still get choked when I read it. I DID NOT DIE Do not stand at my grave and weep: I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of, quiet birds' circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry: I am not there. I did not die. Mary Frye 1932

Ah, screw it. Give me a drink. -
There it is. Oh, and I have 10 nurses buried in my back yard. Well, there it is. Oh, and I really work for CSI.

That's great Lisa. I'd love to read a write up of his practical test. That's a major step and acomplishment and no one will EVER take that from him.

And here is something else to think about Here is another, from ALJAZEERA! I especially like the last three paragraphs

All right, let's take a look at this from another angle. Iraq invades Kuwait Iraq gets pushed back out of Kuwait Iraq is being overrun and nothing is stopping the push to Baghdad Iraq heads to the negotiating tables Iraq agrees to cease-fire conditions Iraq spends the next ten years thumbing their noses at the cease-fire, no-fly zones, WMD destruction, etc. The UN passes resolution after resolution. Iraq ignores them all. Ever see Life of Brian with the people sitting around the table that never actually doing anything? The US goes on the offensive and finishes the job. This 'they had no WMD' issue is another pile of garbage. SH had them and used them. Wheter he got rid of them like he was supposed to is an open issue, but they were there. There's only a couple of ten thousand square miles of desert out there. Didn't we find an entire air wing hidden out in the desert? How hard would it be to bury a few thousand shells?

Well, they're hiding in the mosques. Why not hide in the weddings?

These Bush/Hitler parallels are really starting to get annoying. How about summing this up for me- I still don't see it.

It's cheaper to just lock someone up for life. Death row inmates are very expensive to maintain.

Nope- close though.

Only one person has ever been succesful at faking his death. Elvis. (Gold star to whomever names the character and show)

In which case they fall under Fair Debt. Citibank calling me to remind me to pay the bill from last month is different from a debt collector hired because I'm six months behind. Hmm, how do I get rid of these darned italics?
-
Full text of FDCPA Scroll down to 803(6) for a list of definitions of 'debt collector.' An entity collecting for itself in it's own name falls outside the reg. Not saying I think it's cool to call at 11pm, but it's not illegal in this case (provided it was the actual bank calling). They called at 11pm because there was a really good chance she was home.

Someone call the feds! There's been a hijacking!
-
If it's a bank they can pretty much do whatever they want. Fair Debt Collections Practices (or whatever it is called) only applies to collections.

Who the heck is Kevin Garnett? Obviously someone who's not nearly as important as people believe.

That's been shown. The unedited version also shows the meeting, unloading long thin boxes from trucks, and the chopper crew calling back through the chain of command for permission to open fire. The edited version has been going around with explanations that it is just the US out killing farmers.
