Aren't skydivers just an amazing group of people? What other cult / group can let their gaurd down so fast and welcome new friends into their family that fast? Just cool... Hollister's saftey day was a success though a bit long winded. It went just a wee bit too late into the night but people stuck it out. Just a great attitude from everybody who attended. Great turnout too... So until next weekend I'll sit in this office pluggin away wishing I was in the sky instead....

You should have cut away. When in doubt ~ Cutaway before your decision altitude. I am glad you are ok, though I am slightly disapointed at you for not executing your emergency procedures properly... Canopy control checks immediately after opening is a good habit to develop. Pulling high enough to be comfortable in any situation to execute you emergency procedures is a good idea. Avoiding obstacles when landing is a good idea. Keep your head up high and get right back in the sky if possible. Rebuild your confidence. At least you can learn from this experience if you know what I mean Some people don't get to learn from mistakes... Be good, be safe, be an old skydiver...

She's a nice stalker. Not one of those mean ones. But truthfully a trip from Washington down the west coast sounds awesome! Something I will look into myself. You would be able to find a great balance of skydiving and non skydiving activities. Of course when you are in in the bay area if you do come, people will be pulling you in many directions to be at their DZ, here, there, everywhere. The problem with having 5 twin turbine dz's all within 2-3 hours of eachother. Though you live in Florida, you probably already know something about that. If you want the low down on all the DZ's call me or PM me... Hope to see you in June!!
