Hi John, I actually work at Hollister as a tandem jumpmaster and we do have an exellent safety record with regards to tandem skydives. Lodi has that same exellent tandem safety record. Jumping from 15 thousand or 10 thousand does not make a jump more safe or less safe. A tandem skydive is probably the safest method out there for your very first jump. The higher one goes though the more you might enjoy the experience. That being said I would imagine Hollister is a much shorter drive for you. Hope to see you there. Ask for Sebastien

Oh no no no Pop, we promote family values at this DZ. Strong moral values are expected from all individuals... This is a dry DZ hence absolutely zero alcohol and female skydivers may not show any skin what so ever. Plus everybody must be asleep 1 hour after sunset... And don't forget to brush your teeth.... Bwaahaaaahaaaaaa.... I'm laughing too friggen hard trying to write this Indeed debauchery will occur ~ I promise

Tandem Masters - Leg lock or not to leg lock?

I will occasionaly use the leg lock technique for asthetic value only. I just fly the exit before tossing the drogue by becoming the "big X"... Just get your arms and legs out real big. -

Bush Gets no Love The Pope is visiting DC and President Bush takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac...sailing on the presidential yacht, Sequoia. They're admiring the sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and out into the water. The Secret Service agents start to launch a boat, but Bush waves them off, saying "Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry." Bush then steps off the yacht onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat, bends over and picks it up, then walks back to the yacht and climbs aboard. He hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence. The next morning, the Washington Post carries a story, with front-page photos, of the event. The banner headline reads: "Bush Can't Swim."
