I'm all about food and weird foods, but I'm not a huge fan of raw oysters....but I've always had them w/o lemon or cocktail sauce....it reminds me of snotty seawater... haha but my grandpa and dad eat them like crazy, especially when we're out in Washington over Christmas...I'll have to dress them up this year...

I am the queen of the nerves...I road the plane down 3 times last summer during my student progression. My body would just put the breaks on and I would cry. LOL I've combatted any nerves since then with singing a song in my head up to altitude, its all about distraction. I haven't really had any issues with fear since I got my license, but I'm sure it will creep up on me again, and I'll just have to remember to rock out to some Phish in my head and remind myself that I love jumping

I love my Sirius the same way. Speaking of it being stolen...isn't it a satellite radio? Can't they pinpoint where it's at now if it gets turned on? Or is this all science-fiction BS in my head?

I thought Jason's performance last night was simply beautiful. I thought the song was PERFECT for him. Didn't really think about it until it was said here, but shit, Redemption Song would have been AMAZING. Obviously he's my favorite, but I'm not expecting him to win this or anything. Grandpa did alright...and thats all I can say about that. Not a fan, but Kristy did AMAZING last night. Loved it. But...didn't she wear that same tank 2 weeks ago? lol I have an eye for stupid details like that. David needs to get voted off so he can go be on broadway already. Irish Chicky...wtf were you wearing and wtf were you singing? Yikes. I usually like her too. Brooke...eeeeeh. David Cook...again, wtf. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING WITH THAT SONG CHOICE? God, terrible. I don't think anyone could redo Raine Maida. Edit: I left out Syesha...which was obviously forgettable! Bottom Three: Brooke, Carly, Syesha. I think David Cook's fan base is too big to put him in the bottom.

I used to cheat a lot in HS, mainly because I was lazy. I used to wear skirts and write answers on my leg Didn't do well in HS, took some time off, and came to college...never cheated, and I'm about to graduate with honors. I probably never needed to cheat in the first place, but it was easier!!

I'm no expert, but when I was flying a lightly loaded canopy I had issues with line twists, I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

A good indicator is the fact that most of the experienced fun jumpers sat on the ground on Sunday.... It was super windy and super squirrelly yesterday. I got in 2 jumps Saturday, but didn't feel comfortable jumping Sunday at all, it didn't seem safe or smart to me. Watching people's canopy's buck around like they did made me alright with sitting on the ground all day! If I remember correctly there were gusts up to 26mph...

I did 2 tandems at Skydance. One in 2003 and one in 2005, both were awesome. I did an AFF jump there last summer as well with a talented and safe instructor, again awesome. I highly respect Skydance....amazing dropzone, amazing people.

I toally agree with everything you said...but I don't want to see Jason in the bottom three again! I don't get that David kid...makes me glad I missed last season with Sanjaya. Yeah he can sing, but I think he's in the wrong setting, I see him on stage, in a musical, not as a pop star. And WTF was Syesha thinking? Why would you choose one of the most powerful Whitney Houston songs out there? HELLO??? I have a feeling she'll be around for awhile though, unfortunately. and I read "She just isnt Idol quality" as total idiot quality, haha so fitting!!

Its not really the government, its the archaeological method. You don't want to just start digging and mess up what could be in a ground, it's very methodical and tedious.

so by posting in this thread I'm admitting to watching the show.... Anyways...I'd like to throw in my opinion for the hell of it. Can't stand: Chiquizie Forgetable Black Chick and LBFM (what the hell does that stand for guys?), I can't believe she picked a song that Carrie Underwood blew out of the water a few seasons back. dumb dumb dumb. And am I the only one who thought captain smiles was terrible? Along with Emo Boy who is trying way too hard to be different?

You stated he was planning on starting an "ebay" with lower fees... His article isn't 100% factual, many of his complaints I've never heard of...and I buy and sell on ebay all the time. Hence the "gimmick" comment. The fees aren't terrible if you know how to list things. Their fees, IMO, have gotten better this year. Things are cheaper and some have even become free. I'm pretty far from "wealthy elite" btw

I'm going to second The American Bicentennial Series / Kent Family Chronicles by John Jakes. FABULOUS if you like historical fiction. I also like his North & South Trilogy.
