Tony-tonysuits replied to Buried's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I have a few suits to try, one is the semi super and one reg Mach 1 in the new design we have an orgernizer slot for Zach, so anyone wating to learn wingsuiting will only have to pay for there slot and Zach's pack job Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com -
:-) ok, I changed the leg inlet and went front and back with it, some suits were made the "old way with these inlets, THEN I did it with the new zips on the bod and the arm attach, all the suits have these inlets and zippers, the Mach 1 is our fastest model and new wing's are being tested, the new inlets allow us to do things we couldnt do before because of flapage, hey!!! i'm not into landing it, I wanna take off in one, launch me like a model airplane[:) Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

i got to fly the orange m1 and the longer leg wing is much faster than the black and pink. the orange Mk 1 is "semi" super, it has a 2" longer leg wing, but standard arm's, the black and pink one is a regular Mach 1, Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

I beileve Tony, Jeff, and the mobile birdhouse RV are on their way to Chicago next for Summerfest. Jeff goes to Perris for the unCONVENTION next weekend as I take the rv to Hinkley, then Summerfest at SDChicago is the next weekend after that, yes the intrest in learing to wingsuit seems to be growing, :-) Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

The AN 72 Rocks ----------------------- that does look like quite a plane, how much are your jumps? Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

The air intakes are the same as Ive been doing from the very beginning except I'm now doing the leg one's the same as the arm one's, and of course on the back and front for back flying, It does lock the air in because of the design. On the very first backfly leg proto I put and extra flap of Z.pee on the base of the intake to ensure an air loc but it was so locky that you needed a thigh master to close your legs come deployment time, so I left the extra flap out and it lock's just fine giving just enough air escape for you to close your legs when you need to. Its all just peachy. Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

nice helmet, I wonder how long its gonna be till someone wears an aerodynamic helmet like bicyclists wear, i'd love one for camera, those guys are always complaining about the drag a camera gives off, wonder if it would make looking up at your canopy hard, would it hit your reserve container? Which tracking suit has the best glide ratio?

and if you do wear a 4 way suit with booties, try it with webbies, feels great Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com -
ok, it works, the arms burst open to reach up if you need to with normal arm zips for every day openings, the legs work good too, I dumped the velcro on the zipper pulls and now have 3 little toggle stows holding the tape to the leg, and a magnet at the bottom, much easier to go get, With the new body zip's going to the floor when i undo my legs after opening i just have to put my feet behind me and the booties blow off, its very odd walking to the plane with just my shoulders in the suit and easier to put the legs on in the plane. very good in these Florida summers. Tony, The new design sounds interesting, hard to call it a Mach 1 though as it soounds to be completely different then current production suits. 4" is a huge amount of wing to add not to mention the increased sweep and other mentioned tweaks Do you have a better side by side of the two? The flying one posted shows the leg wing inflation very good but hard to see the wings. Also I am not quite getting the wing attachment design.. Scott C. ------------------------------------------------------- Yes it is different, fly's different, we make a proto bout every week, always playing, the wing attach is way diff, prob shouldn't be talking about it yet, it might not work, the wing attach is fine, its the cutaway that's hard, we have two suits working where you just reach up and the arms open so you can get to your toggles, we'll see what we like this weekend, the leading edge is going to be standard on all suits, Jeff like's it, I haven't tried it yet, I will this weekend, lots of people coming to see what's new Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

Looks great guys - very nice. Seems to be well balanced too - slightly smaller leg wing and slightly bigger arm wings?? or is that an illusion? --------------------------------------------------- The pink :-) suit I'm wearing is a standard Raptor, [I have lots of pink for proto's for some reason :-) Jeff is wearing a Mach1 prototype, it has a 4" longer leg wing and a 4" longer arm wing at the root, the arm is also swept back a little more, it has a raised leading edge to the arm wing, it goes like hell, he beat me on his back with me on my belly in the Raptor on that skydive, Both suits have the new leg inlets, they work great no matter what position your in and I'm making them standard now on all wingsuits, I have two proto's this weekend, a Mach1 and a Raptor, the base of the arm wing is sewed to the leg and the arm zippers off the body of the suit to assemble your rig, the arm's themselves have the regular arm zip's, but the emergency release allows you [I hope] to "bust" your arms out of the sleeves, it works on the ground, we'll see this weekend, After 35 years in this sport this is the most fun Ive had, if you don't mind the 18 hour days Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com
