npgraphicdesign replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in The Bonfire
You obviously have no taste in music...and you being from Australia? That makes your statement that much more shocking... -

Frickin' expensive! But...this may be my last chance to see them seeing as they aren't getting any younger Should I cough up 400 for two tickets and just go see them? -

Congrats Gato!!! I'm hoping to post something similar in about 2 months. It's great that you stuck with it for two years and didn't get bummed out about not getting it within a month or so. I'm already itching to get it and mad at myself that I didn't jump all summer

When do you consider yourself a "skydiver"

Wow I guess I learn something new about myself every day... -
Going for my AFF1 next weekend. things to know..

Please define "landing solo". Thanks. Maybe he means that he needed help from the radio person? Although for an AFF1, he still would've received radio guidance, right? -

Cool .. I'm a real live skydiver now? My leg still hurts a bit from tripping over that fence while I was coming out of a corn field after my first off site landing last Saturday. Who wants to kiss it for me? Being clumsy on the ground doesn't make you a real skydiver. Only up in the air... -

I've been dreaming of skydiving the last few weeks or so...ever since my concentrated weekend of 3 jumps. Can't wait for next time!!! -

How about once you make your first off site landing without anyone telling you what to do or how to do it? -
Completing AFF at different DZs?
npgraphicdesign replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Amen...first time I had to climb out there and hang out on the strut, i was scared sh!tless. I had a fear of small planes, and considering I did my A jump out of an Otter, the B jump out a Cesna...er..my 3 B jumps out of a Cesna freaked me out a bit. I think I'm ok now, but we'll wait until I have to climb out there on my own... -
"I'm seeing someone, but I admire your confidence"

What little confidence I do actually have is generally akin to a flaming aircraft crashing into a minefield by the point where I'm getting rejected. The chances of me to actually spit a line like that are, at best, very very low Maybe with learning all that Russian, you can finally pick up a Russian girl. Epic win! Hahah...you sound just like..an OTer. -

Completing AFF at different DZs?
npgraphicdesign replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Oh i'm not bitchin'! The only thing I'm bitchin' at is this weather we're having...i had big plans of being out there at 730am tomorrow and knock out 3 - 4 jumps. Only thing I'll be doing this weekend is NOT jumping... But you know New England...we could have 2 months of sunny weekends or two months of rain, wind, & snow. -
Completing AFF at different DZs?

No reason to go all the way to Columbia. California has some great DZs. Any recommendations? I hear Lake Elsinore is good. Are there any closer to San Diego? -
Completing AFF at different DZs?
npgraphicdesign replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Lets say I start training at one DZ, and then because of weather/time constraints, I don't finish before the season is over (I'm in the Northeast). If I take a vacation somewhere (in January), such as Florida, Cali, etc...states where DZs operate most of the year or year round, could I finish my AFF training in a week or so? I'm currently on my D2 jump. Are the jump criteria the same at every DZ? In other words, even though the prices might be a bit different here and there, the requirements for each jump completion are still the same? Also, would love some recommendations of some DZs in Florida, Cali, and other warmer states where I could go during the month of January for a week or so to finish my training. -
coincidently it seems to be centered around you. It's my filthy mouth. And way too much time on my hands lately. Bet that's not all you got on your hands...

I've got enough of those. It's kinda like collecting matchbox cars… having the cool looking ones is fun, but you'd rather have a full sized one you can actually drive. Are you saying you want a..ahem...large girlfriend? -
...would do this. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/3074432/Russian-skydiver-swigs-spirits-while-floating.html No that's not me, but yes I'm Russian.

Let's say, for the sake of the thread topic, that you were in a bar having a cold one and enjoying a night out with your friends. All of a sudden, you find yourself in a potential fight situation, whatever the cause may be. What song would you want playing in the background that would motivate you to kick some drunken a$$holes's asses? My pick: ZZ Top - La Grange LaGrange/ Tush ( Live 1982 ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VLJsm8ohOg La Grange (Live With Brooks & Dunn) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gyq8N3hJeeM
