alcohol makes me irritable after a couple of hours. Im taking xannax before we board. Don't wanna mix drugs and jumping tho.... Be brave timid Tiff, if you need to get out at 30,000' you will probably die way before you need to reach for the hackey....Especially if you are dressed for your destination. Flying in a jet is way safer than driving round the Beltway in Houston......Just trust me on this. Okay brand names styles etc elude me right now, its been a while since I had to buy any.... Think layers, a pair of 'space' gloves (they are white with some sort of alum thread in them) worn under a pair of summer gloves works for me. Silk or thin thermal under gloves etc work fine as well. Don't forget that all the blood going to your hands flows through your wrists first, so think about how you are going to protect those too. Can I say an old pair of socks? I've seen people using 'pocket warmers' (little charcoal burning thingies) on planes, which helps keep your hands nice and toasty on the ride up, but never saw the need for these myself. Running across the room is one thing, as Lisa said, plus I was advised to to try a few PLFs etc from the fan trainer, or similar object, and be honest with yourself about the pain etc.. Look at it his way, a couple of months is nothing, especially at this time of year, back too soon and you could screw it up for the rest of your life.. Me?...I was 2 1/2 years on the ground after I stuffed up my femur, but that was exceptional. Not jumping will not kill you.
