Technique mods Loosen your chest strap after opening. Hanging in the front risers evenly will help build speed safely on a straight in approach. I'd say ten bucks is pretty cheap for a car dust cover, or a ground sheet for the kids, or some material to make wind cheaters out of. I would say that the selction of a canopy that will open consistently smoothly is an important facet of gear selection for any type of jumping. Flyhi correctly points this out in his initial post. However, I think people are missing a big issue here. What I meant was the weather in about 3 or 4 months will not be favourable for an allied 'police' force. It will be getting very hot, so using chem/biological suits will be a real pain. Also sandstorms will severely hinder the close air support from the likes of apaches, blackhawks, and A10s.
