Yes there is. Not just Create, But enforce rules for landing patterns. A BSR helps define what these rules are. This will make it easier to get rid of/ Ground/ or otherwise address these LOST jumpers you are referring to. As it stands now, There are really no clearly defined rules except at certain DZ`s.

Kinda like you did when you switched from Vinyl to Cassettes and then from cassettes to CD`s. Most of the older people on here can tell you how we have all bought the exact same albums in Soooo Many formats over the years. Now there is another new format.. Same for VHS movies that people bought and then rebought in DVD format. On this we completely agree. SONY should have been sued into oblivion for that fiasco but that is a seperate issue. They made a horrible choice in how to protect their property. Well if that software is designed to help you do something that you dont have the right to do, Shouldn’t it be illegal? If the copyright holder did not give you the right to Copy their work beyond the media it came on, you do not have the right to make copies. Plain and simple. Don’t like that.. DON’T BUY IT!! Yep. If the terms of that agreement are not acceptable to you, The agreement will tell you what your options are and how to return the software. Buy a DVD.. You have the right to watch that DVD. You do not have the right to make Copies or Show it in Public venues or anything else. No new crimes here. Copyrights have been around for a long time. You purchased a right to watch that DVD within your own home. A right to make copies is not included and specifically made clear that is not allowed. You want to buy rights to make copies, Contact the person or evil corporation that owns those rights, I’m sure they will quote you a price (If they are interested in allowing this). If not, Tough SHIT! It is their property. Go make your own movies/software/music. You misunderstanding is exactly what is the "product". The "Product" you are buying is the Media and a Limited use license. If that is not acceptable to you, DONT BUY IT!!

This thread is both funny and sad. Really it is very simple.. (And this applies to Software, Music, or DVDs) If you dont like the License agreement.. Dont buy it. Enough people do this and the people selling the license will change the license. BUT DONT Buy it and bitch about what you bought. You Buy a CD.. I completely agree. How do you propose we accomplish this? And that will save lives. Make a mistake over the Swoop area with less traffic and fewer slow canopies in your way.. Less likely to kill someone else because you are not in the same place as the majority of canopy traffic. Humans will always make mistakes. we cant save everyone but we can have rules in place that make it safer for most. The canopy Pilots that keep mentioning "Better Education". I ask again.. OK.. How do we get there? (BTW.. I think you have many answers but here are allot of people that are not seeing that.) This group (the Original Posters) have presented a well thought out very specific proposal for discussion. A generic answer of Better Education and we are all part of the problem (Not your words but what I have heard from other that oppose any rules regarding HPL`s) is great.. But how do we get there? Statistics can be manipulated to show what ever you want. In the past 6 months there have been 3 incidents involving Swoopers coming into the main landing area and encountering traffic resulting in 4 deaths. Spin the numbers however you want but if the proposed BSRs were followed, Atleast 3 possibly 4 would be alive today. Not just Danny and Bob but also the 2 Accidents at the Holiday Boogie. No matter how much education and Training you give someone, Humans still make mistakes. Separating High Perfaomance landings from Standard landing patterns WILL reduce Fatalities related to canopy collisions.
