Hey! Your talking to little miss sensative here (although I do have a hard side (sometimes)). I'm not saying stuff everyone elses feelings and only think of yourself. Not at all. There is no 'nice' way of finishing with somone. But, if you have to, then yes, do it with sensativity. I was dumped back in the summer. He was very straight with me. He just said, 'Its not working, I want to finish, we don't gel and it would be better if we were just mates'. Yes, I did not like hearing that too much, but repected his honesty and got over it quickly. We are mates now. There is no point beating around the bush and giving people false hope (I've done that to somone before).

Any decent human being will not find it easy (breaking the bad news as it were). Viking - I don't think giving the 'lets be friends' talk is that bad. I mean you could have treated her like dirt or ignored her, surely that would be much much worse. Honesty is the best policy, there is no point in pretending. It always takes guts to do these things, and if you get up enough guts up to go ahead and say something, then you have probably done the right thing. Smile it's not that bad.
