  1. Its in the southern England, Sussex near Brighton, Devils Dyke hill. It is a very beautiful place to fly
  2. to her defense, the chicks you can actually see in the video seem to be quite hot; so it's all good! giselle, may i ask where that is!? looks like a nice countryside! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  3. it's a link to someone soaring a wingsuit dont mean that one, the one just above my post, her soaring a mini-paraglider as she calls it.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  4. your linky not worky “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  5. go keep on living in your dreamworld, troll.. i would of attached the "double-facepalm"-pic, but cant be bothered.. not worth my time! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  6. The only thing I've said about you is that you're an ignorant non jumper. This is absolutely true. You don't jump, and you know nothing about aerodynamics, modern wingsuit design or the 2 times table. Everything else I've said has been directed at your idea's, which are so self evidently factually wrong and deluded that the only possible conclusion is that you're purposefully (and quite successfully) trolling the forum. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  7. you have no fucking clue, a 7sqm speedrider probably weighs less than 10kg's, that's including harness.. Another nut case speaking nonsense, jesus this forum has some crazy crazy people LOL Love which speed hangglider weight less than 10kg? please show me and I will go buy it today =) gin nano, 9.5sqm weighs 2.2kg's, as seen here: http://www.gingliders.com/speedflying/speedriding-gliders/nano/#top random, all-purpose harness, 2.4kg's, as seen here: http://www.gingliders.com/speedflying/harnesses/speedride/ combined weight, hold on, gotta fire up my CAD, 9.2kg's, oh fuck it, it's only 4.6kg's! mhm; have you put your order in already!? and as far as the nutcase goes; at least i was able to prove my point.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. 8. If you paid for that software - ask for your money back. 1.8m x 1.5m is 2.7m^2 and that's if you are a flying rectangle, the reality is there is less wing. 2 to 2.5m^2 is a more realistic number. Not close to 10 or even to 4. Hi Lukeh, you are ccirrect, My software calculated it on both sides thats why double value of 4.2sqm, so dived that for 2 the area is 2.1sqm. Some acro/speed hanggliders are only 7sqm and they can soar easily, but you have to add 30kg to your weight (hangglider weight) ence the wingsuit is far lighter and only carry the pilot weight, therefore even being smaller the wingsuit will have a very good efficiency. you have no fucking clue, a 7sqm speedrider probably weighs less than 10kg's, that's including harness.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. 9. not going to happen; he'd exit even less stable, he needs them to be at least relatively balanced! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  10. I got another question. How would everyone feel if it was one of the jokers on this forum doing it to shah? in shah's case.. the judge would rule in his favour; see attached! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  11. I know of a peson on the list for being caught taking a piss behind a building. The logic was that he could be seen from some road that was a football field away. A misuse of the law IMO but in many places I think the judges hands are tied. Ozzie Osborne is on no list I know of and he peed on the ALAMO!! Chuck ozzie's a fucking LEGEND!!! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  12. and you realize this NOW!? “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  13. Serious answer is that it was started during World War II. Sports owners were worried about criticism for not being patriotic because they did not cancel their leagues during the war effort. Singing the National Anthem during contests was meant to prove the owner's patriotism and blunt any criticism. I agree that it is a stupid tradition all around and should be done away with. thanks for the explanation!
  14. now, wouldnt that be cool if every country had such a system in place so you're not forced to bug your rigger if you wanna visit a boogie in another country like the one in czech or others.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  15. Just an observation: In places like the US & Canada we have nothing like a Harness/Container logbook, so any mods or repairs to the rig are undocumented. That's not ideal. we dont have a HnC log here wither, but any repairs or mods are noted on the Packing card. The problem with that at least in the US is that the packing card goes with the reserve ultimately, which leaves you with the conundrum of what do you if the reserve is detached from the harness/container? you can always use a repack line to write down the repairs (IIRC from my FAA Rigger exam, all work performed should be written in the rigger logbook and on the data card)(but I could be wrong). when you split gear, you can always make a copy to keep with the rig, so that the rig also continues with its history (for example SB's performed etc) For that kind of stuff, the french system is pretty much complete. Each component has its own logbook. H/C, Reserve parachute, Main parachute, AAD. When you sell/buy separate parts of gear, logbook comes with the gear. A but long for rigger paperwork, not very convenient (you can't keep them in the rig like you would with the "US" data card) but definitely a plus for the history of the gear. dont the germans also have such a system in place!? i just bought a rig and it came with papers, which kinda made me wonder since it's not your typical "dual-parachute system".. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. 16. well, you guys can already get arrested for being drunk in public - gosh, i'd get soooo much in trouble there at times.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  17. in the video it looked like some of the players wanted to tackle tyler! what's more important, who won the game; who could get better over this initial embarassment!? and why the fuck do you yanks sing the national anthem before a football game!? “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  18. finally some perspective.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  19. lemme guess, u're an alabama-fan!? “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  20. as a police-men in manila! pretty funky moves, ey!? “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  21. well, if you fly further than anyone else on a given line, or clear cables on top while everyone else goes underneath them, that's a pretty good indicator.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  22. a good friend of mine didnt only hit one tree last year, he hit two trees. he's one of the best, if not the THE best WS-BASEjumper. even jeb acknowledged that to him. but he doesnt do it for publicity nor the fame.. you WILL get hurt or die if you do it for the media. you will want to prove yourself that you deserve the attention. see dwaine, patrick, ueli.. all great jumpers doing stupid stuff - for the media. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  23. Too tight a stunt for like 99.9% of all skydivers in the world. That said, I don't like what he's doing, as we get enough bad publicity as it is. You can love, hate or have no opinion at all towards Jeb and his publicity jumps. I think what he does is a tremendous boost to skydiving. Wingsuiting and now BASE proximity wingsuiting are the skysurfing of today. Remember the X-game skysurfing? Evry Whuffo in the world asked jumpers if they jumped a skyboard for years in the 90's. What do all Whuffos ask us now? "Ever jump one of them there squirrel suits"? Most Whuffos have seen Jeb on TV interviews. I think I can count on one hand the number of jumpers that have been interviewed on a show like "Conan" that was for doing cool shit, not almost going in. Jeb is a publicity hound. sure. But he is great at it. So was Patrick DG, before he went in. Remember "Point Break"? Skydivers robbing banks. Damn that pumped up the skydive biz. Was it a retarded script towards jumpers? Yup. So What? I would rather have the likes of Jeb and Jet Man Yves Rossy getting good publicity in the mainstream media instead of some dipshit that nearly dies with a two out wrap make the "Today" show. Now does Jeb owe the SA BASE community a huge apology? Did he burn a great site? Maybe. That's between him and the BASE guys and gals there. Jeb inspires Whuffos to the DZ to make a jump. That's a good thing. I'm glad he didn't go in. I hope he slows down a bit. it's what got me into skydiving a decade or two later!
