    why didn't god make us up to his standards? better yet, why did god create us at all knowing that most would burn in hell for eternity because he didn't make us good enough? sounds pretty fucking sadistic to me. if your god exists, he's a mean asshole. ditto!! i grew up in a very religous family. surrounded my entire life by god, morals, prayers, and a belief i didnt share. although i am no longer involved in any one religion i did find this book to be both intriguing and insightful (as i do my best to be accepting of all religions)...     i dont understand why she didnt have it removed in the first place? "oh... when i was a kid i fell on a pencil and it disappeared in my head. so now i have these awful headaches. what could possibly be causing this???" hmm.... and isnt pencil lead toxic?? weirdos. haha

    AGREED!!!! i watched this on tv last night, and my mouth was hanging open when he got up and walked right off! do they not realize there could have been something SERIOUSLY wrong with his neck/spine/etc?!?! idiots!!!

    no worries!!! by the time you get to the plane of the door, you pretty much have given up control over the situation. and as long as you can accept the fact that youve given up control, then before you know it you will be flying!!! i do know how hard it is to even imagine, as i just did my first tandem about 2 weeks ago, but i promise you that despite the fear, it is 100 percent worth it. my instructor told me he would count to 3, swaying back and forth, he got to 2, i gave one last terrified look to my boyfriend (who was filming), and we fell. even now when i watch the video i point out that i had one more second and i want it back!! haha. anyways, i hope that you do end up going, and that you have a wonderful time. keep us updated!

    if it IS inhumane then im disgustingly guilty!! who can resist the delicious crunch of a just-the-right-amount-of-sweetness animal cracker?! animals, vegetables, fruit, people they still taste good!!! (and at least they dont have an ad about biting their heads off like the Goldfish people!! haha)

    my boyfriend asked me if i thought i could learn how to fly a parachute, or if it was something i would even want to do!! i told him straight up that i would be much more comfortable if i could complete a few more tandems first. and he was totally supportive. i thought it would be seen as i was afraid, which really isnt it at all. i just enjoy not having to control anything for a few minutes!! i just got to enjoy the fall and the ride!! haha. im sure i will eventually learn, but the tandem was fun, and maybe ill just become a professional tandem first.

    i totally understand your nervousness, but dont worry!!! i found out i was going on my first tandem 10 minutes to load, and that was about exactly how long it took them to strap me up and get me on the plane. my instructor, Ben, explained everything on the way up, and it really was as easy as falling.

    Thank you!! as far as going on another tandem, or staring the learnign process, im really not sure yet? i absolutely loved doing the tandem, and think i would be more comfortable if i did a few more before starting anything. haha. i had a blast, though, and loved the falling part. I told my boyfriend i had my "peter pan moment"
