  1. I just bought a pc330. I have not jumped it yet, but it looks like it's going to be a very nice set up. "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  2. It's not just college that does that to you. I worked for my company for 20yrs and last month the owner decided to sell it and the new owner dissolved it. As of yesterday I am unemployed for the first time in about thirty years. Now I have to figure out what I want to be when I grow up all over again. Maybe I'll just skydive................ 7. I've been a dive instructor and sport diver for quite a few years now, and I can tell you that as in skydiving, if it doesn't fit well it doesn't work well. Go visit your local shops, hug and touch things, rent a couple different kinds of BC's and see what you like best. Just hang around the shops and talk to divers, they love to talk diving like we like to talk skydiving. They will be more than happy to share their knowledge of the sport. As far as brands go, My wife and I have always been very happy with Scuba Pro regulators and Oceanic Gages, Scuba pro BC's. Just my 2cent's Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions Scott "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"

  10. Thanks for the information - I did look at the 350 and thought that might be a great choice if I can afford that one. Some of the other choices are a little less expensive but I certainly don't want to just go on price. Is the PC9 compatible for using a cam eye ? 11. I am am going to purchase a side mount camera to do tandem video as its main job, and video for fun jump also. I'm kind of leaning to a pc style camera, maybe a 105,109 or 120. Any info would be helpful.... pros and cons Thanks Scott "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"

  13. This is a very nice race in july. It's kind of a middle distance race. Easy swim, a few moderate hills on the bike but very much a nice course. http://www.greatlakestri.com/ Scott "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  14. That would be fun to find the dz people who like to tri, and get together and race. I've ran into a few jumpers over the years who runners, but not to many triathletes. Scott "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"

  16. It's being consistant with your training more than anything. Volume is certainly important, however quality training and consistancy will yeild the best results and keep you injury free. Don't forget recovery days, and listen to your body. If your pushing your training to much, your body will tell you to rest and go skydiving . Feel free to pm me If you have any questions. I've learned allot from some great triathletes and I would be happy to share the info. Scott "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"

  19. Just keep training and doing some sprint and olympic distances. After those, you'll know when your ready to go longer. Set some long term goals, make a training plan, talk to some who have all ready finished longer races and then go for it !! It's a addicting - Just like this sport Scott ________________________________ "there's a fine line between hobby and mental illness"
  20. I have done quite a few - What distance have you done in the past, and how many? Is the one your training for a half? All the distances can be done fairly easy by themselves but togther can be a bit of a struggle. Is it a lake or ocean swim? wetsuit legal or not ? It will make a difference.
