FAI rules state that the camera must be able to firewire to a PAL camera. I met a guy at richmond last week that has one, he says buy a sony PC camera, I guess the micro dvs, are less quality (video) and more fragile if you bang them into something.

From what I've heard have 2k install the cam eye for you. They are supposed to do a good job with it and it's very much recessed.

I wouldn't say "bad" I just can't stand people that can't walk a line in the hallway. They just kinda wonder around trying not to hit the walls, but always seem to be in your way as you try to pass.

Asking here is good, but if you can also ask a local camera flyer at your dz. My local camera flyer, told me things like, how to lay down a time line on my tape, and different settings to use on my camera, stuff like that. Now on to your question. I just purchased a PC-101 (sony) RAWA helmet (comes a with d-box) Battery charger UV filter (A MUST!, doesn't do anything filter wise, other that protect your $200 lens with a $7 filter against scratches) Tapes (only sony premium for me) Stuff I'm still working on Extra battery Wide angle lens Still mount Bite switch Fire wire card / cable / video editing software Camera case to keep all of this in That's all I can think of right now. edit: spelling

I see, I would say that 50-75ft is very good, but I think it also depends on the parachute, and wingloading too. Someone with more experience is going to have to chime in here.
