If you want peace and quiet i would HIGHLY reccommend the island of Seychelles. Its off hte coast of africa. It was a liberty port on my last deployment. Very scenic and hardly any "city life" type of atmosphere. Nice restaurants and resorts! If I find someone local, then they prob. wouldn't be too happy with me leaving every weekend to jump at the dz. But if you date a skydiver, then rumors and "as the prop turns" happens. So for now, I am concentrating on school, work, jumping, and wind tunnel flying. The opportunity cost of dating someone locally would be losing jump days, time for studying, and time for work. Well in that case jsut date another skydiver...then you wouldnt have to worry about sacraficing jump time to date someone. And as far as abstaining..i agree with you. This is actually my first relationship that sex wasnt had in the first week. We have know each other for 2 months...and have been together for a little over a month now...and still havent done anything beyond kissing. And to tell you the truth..the anticipation of knowing that its coming really does make it that much more enjoyable. I wish i had realized this in the past..but eh...early 20's and...yeah. ya live and ya learn. Im not trying to have a child of my own yet though. She has a son who i get along with great...so i can jsut use that forawhile..until im really settled in my life and have a good job etc etc etc. So yeah..i guess i agree with you

Sad part is not too many american realize what today is. I am current military and we are having a special meal tomorrow in rememberance of the attack.
