I do have an add running in the classifieds but i know people that have extra gear dont always post what they have so im posting this here to reach a greater number of people. I recently purchased a used Vector V5(DOM 6/86 serial 11277) container. It came with a 230 reserve. The seller transferred everything from the risers to the pc to his new rig so i am looking for a set of risers(not mini risers), dbag and pc with bridle. I already have a main canopy(PD 230) coming so that has been taken care of already. If you have or know anyone that might have these parts that arent being used that are still airworthy then please let me know. Thats the sad part...im currently single. The women that i have treated like that apparently weren't used to it because it didnt last. Not to get into a sob story...and i dont want pity or anything like that, but ive been cheated on in every relationship i have been in except for the one that i had before i came into the military...that was a mutual parting on good terms. I will say that it takes a VERY special woman to date a military member. Especially one that deployed 3 times in 4 years. Faithfullness has been what had killed me....not on my side....on theirs. I dont cheat and i dont tolerate people who do. ok...done with the rant. Caution:low jump numbers here. the classifieds on dz.com are hit and miss. Ive been on the lookout for another reserve and a jumpsuit also. Of all the adds ive replied to i may have recieved 5% of responces back from them. Its gotten to the point of if its an older add....the chances are very high that the item has already been sold...and the add was not taken down...which has been the case with a few of the adds that i answered. If you dont get any hits on the classifieds check out your local dz(s). There is almost always gear for sale by jumpers that just have extra stuff laying around but never put adds up to sell it. They jsut wait for someone to come around asking for stuff. Give it a shot...ya never know till ya try! Romance...a dieing quality in today's society. i firmly believe that 90% of guys are romantic for typically the first few months...then..after the initial "im trying to impress her" stage...it dies off...as one other poster stated. With me...and apparently like a few others...the little things are the things i do...with something major when the situation arises. As time goes on..with the "major" romance...i try to top myself from the previous time. The little things are the norm though. Suprise flower deliveries, opening doors religiously, candlelit bubble bath waiting for her when she gets home, breakfast in bed on a day off, car washed and waxed while they are taking a nap, spontaneous romantic getaways, picnics on the beach....just to name a few. There are deff more..but thats just off the top of my head withough putting much thought into it. I personally thing that showing romance(from a guy's point of view) towards a woman will definately get their attention...its continuing those acts that keep their attention! To start i did a search and could not find what i was looking for. I will be getting a used cypress soon and it will need its 8 year check and batteries. The only place i have found ot do them is www.chutingstar.com and their charge is $285 dollars and a 2 week turnaround. Does anyone know of anyone/anywhere else that does them in the USA? ok..so i wake up sunday morning...not expecting to make and big purchases. I get a pm from my brother with a link to an ebay auction. Up for auction was a Vector 2 container cypress ready with a cirrus 230 reserve. No main included in the auction, all new velcro on entire rig, very good condition considering its used and 20 years old. Buy it now for 350 dollars. I buy it! So now im looking for a main. Checking out the classifieds, ebay and other sources. I put a post in the GSD forum and i get a reply from a dz.commer that they have a pd230 main that they will sell me for what i think is an amazing deal. So im getting that. one problem...no aad. So i put another post up about weather i should just rent gear till i have my A or just invest in one. 2 days after that thread was posted i get a pm from another dz.commer offering me a cypress aad...and asking nothing in return. It has a little over 2 years left and i will have to have the 8 year check and batteries installed....but he is insistant on not taking anything for it. I at least want to pay for the shipping..and waiting a reply to that. So now i have a complete rig that will be ready to jump once i am off student status. This whole thing was completely spontaneous too! On top of that i just got a call from work. I am finally being frocked to E-4 in the navy after three months of fighting with my upper chain of command! I also go on 20 days of leave tomorrow. A look at the weather forecast shows that it is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous this weekend so i will be at the dz hopefully learning how to pack. I havent had this good of a week in 7 years....the amount of time i have in the navy thus far! edited to add: and on top of all that too my brother comes back from being deployed to the sandbox in 2 weeks! So now I’m selling this one.. Here what you get… Container - Vector V-5 - 06-86, BOC (Bottom Of Container) throw-out pilot chute & its AAD compatible. I’m 5’ 9” around 190 pounds and it fits me would not fit much larger. Harness is well maintained, clean and in good shape. Main- No main included.. I previously had a Furry 220 and it was a nice fit. Reserve- Cirrus reserve, 230 sq. ft. - 03-84, zero rides. This main was packed 3-23-07 so its the rig is ready to jump with your main.
