There was a fear the government would take away their land if they persisted. I do not understand what this taking of land was all about in 1971...or if it is real, but what I was told. Individuals like Jerry would have the public believe Cooper just went Poof! Jerry's only goal in life is to control - people and the truth. Well, Jerry this is a different world. People DO NOT like to be intimidated - or told they are liars. Someone must have sent those posts to Multiple Key Individuals in the STATE of WA and OR. You would not even want to know what they had to say about you! MOST were puzzled NO ONE (including the FBI) never thought to pull all of the records on the river property owners from 1971 to 1980. Why use that picture - that was distorted, when the RELEASE picture from that same prison shows a different nose and so to pictures taken in 1971. I was never able to reduce the Out Take photo from that same prison to a medium that this Thread would accept - so I can't get it into the thread. It is a very large file. (It is a full body picture - both profile and frontal). But try this photo taken in 1971. Also attached is the PROFILE photo of that same mug shot - where is the big NOSE...? Also enlarge the frontal picture page size and look at the thickness of the stems on the glasses he was wearing -1/4 to 1/3 inch pushing his ear out. Also put the wrap-around glasses Cooper wore in 1971 to anyother picture of Weber - those glasses do a lot to camouflage the size of a nose...I know - I have done this most of my life due to my own nose which has a hump in it. You guys use what you want for your own reason...but, these have been studied by 2 forensic artist who did not use a computer, but worked with pen and paper from descriptions given by witnesses in the 70's. Since you guys seem to know more about this than they do - good luck. In the mean time I will use my time and money doing what I should have done. If you guys want to continue to search for the DZ on this thread, good luck. So Sluggo travels all the way to FLA to meet with you. You allegedly have photos of Duane which more closely resemble the FBI Cooper sketch than any you have published to date. You don't show them to Sluggo because that wasn't his "focus"? What???? That sounds pretty flakey to me. His focus was Norjack. Sluggo, chime in here. Tell us something about what your focus was and whether Jo's explanation about why you were not shown the photos makes sense. Post the photos here Jo. Don't make this another tease. 377 I did not show the family photo album to Sluggo - because I was unaware of the resemblance of Duane to the OLD Rose composites. They are pictures of Duane as an older man...I did NOT see this until someone else pointed them out to me. I did NOT deliberately with hold the pictures from Sluggo. These are pictures of a much older Weber and I did NOT see the significance therefore I concentrated on the pictures made during the early part of our marriage and pictures the ex-wife provided me of a time closer to the 1971 incident. Yet, you consistently indicate the witnesses have claimed Weber was NOT Cooper. I have the name of the FBI agent who told me this and it was NOT Carr. Even Carr was unable to contact the witnesses if he followed protocol. Jo, Given all the trouble Sluggo went to with you, why didn't you show him all relevant Duane photos? You seem to be saying you held the best ones back. 377 Sluggo went over materials and I had NO idea at that time these other photos would mean anything to anyone. He and I did NOT get to that point. These other individuals actually took time to view everything - especially things I had never shown the FBI - personal things. Sluggo was concentrating on the things he thought relevant - as he deals with numbers and facts, not people and their pasts. These 2 other individuals were more on the personal level - they wanted too see what made Duane tick - so they were looking for different things than Sluggo was. I have so much "stuff" it would take wks to go through it all. I would NOT have pulled out the family album had I not know this one individual for more than 10 yrs and trusted him. He stayed at my home which actually gave us more real time to visit and for him go know me as a person. This person was the one who noted that Duane's resignation was penned the day after the Money Find in 1980 was featured in the Denver newpaper. Sluggo didn't catch this because he did NOT go to the personal level and look at the resignation Duane had done. Different individuals were looking at different things. Sluggo doesn't think Duane was Cooper and the other 2 individuals have very different opinions. I believe that if everything I had was being viewed by 12 people at one time - the Yeas might out weigh the Nays. The FBI made copies of only a few things and lots of notes (four hours)...who knows what got lost in the translation between the field official here and the agents in Seattle. (Note the agent who came to my home to interview me had only recently learned who Cooper was when he got the call to come see me). Also there were many new things over the ensueing yrs I didn't know to present to the agents - things the FBI has never come to look at...over the yrs. Only one agent (a local agent I mentioned above ) ever interviewed me or viewed the thing I had...that was in 1997. NO other agent ever interviewed me or viewed the items in my possession.Not one agent has looked at the new information and photos I acquired during the yrs after 1997. Carr saw thing on the thread while he was tooting his horn...but, those were never provided to the FBI in an official capacity. I have NO verification the FBI office ever saw what I mailed and emailed to him or the content of this thread. Two agents went to see the man who bought the van and talked to a couple of people who knew Duane...These agents did NOT come to see me so I don't know if they were local agents who knew little about the crime or the agent of record out of WA. Everything else the FBI did was out of their office except when the local agents picked up the DNA in 2003 and returned it in 2008. This is when you do not know what you are talking about. The crew has NOT been shown pictures of Duane other than what was made available in the media......I was told this by FBI.Why don't you contact the agent of record in 1997 - 2000. This was the agent who had the case when Duane was presented as a suspect. I am not going to give you his name as you supposedly KNOW ALL. It was only after I had some visitors to my home in the last 2 yrs who saw photos of Duane NEVER made public - and just didn't understand why I didn't use them. Both commented after viewing the album they didn't understand why I had not used some of those photos and expressed surprise at how much Duane was able to change his appearance. I had always said Duane was like a chameleon, but NO one cared. Sluggo is not one of these 2 and Ido not remember his viewing my private family album. Vickie's father had hazel eyes NOT DARK PIERCING BROWN EYES. The pictures I viewed did NOT convince me he was Cooper. The fact he disappeared in 1971 is suspect. Yes, he should be investigated, but I will assure of this - the witnesses WILL NOT BE SHOWN ANY PHOTOS. The FBI can NO LONGER use eyewitness accounts - it has been too many yrs and these witnesses have been exposed to so many suspect photos - they could my never be able to make a positive ID...with a photo alone. I did NOT own a computer and had never done a search. It was difficult enough just to manage that. I had NO knowledge of maps other than State map and didn't know how to order maps for various locations...such as Vancouver. I was at the mercy of others and my memory...Jerry knew this and so did Himmelsbach which is WHY Himmelsbach suggested I contact Jerry. IT was NOT until I went to WA in 2001 for the documentary until I realized JERRY had deceived me and it cost me my credibility at that time - that was JERRY's plan and had it NOT been for the ANGEL Udell - I would have left WA thinking I was absolutely crazy... Blevins told a story as it was told to him, just as I tell a story I have lived with a man I was married to for 17 yrs and you call us both liars. How is this working out for you. The tower was in a different location and you know that. I explained when we left the area of the Mt or hill that we went back toward the Washougal river and then north up the Washougal and turned around at some homes or doublewides - a place where Duane told me about he used to know a man who lived there. You claimed there were NO doublewide or homes there. This is where we turned around because he had missed his turn. I told him we had passed 2 roads and then we went back to what I now know as Coffey Road (I think that is the name of it without pulling some files). I mentioned that Duane pointed out a cemetary on that road that I could not see. That we came to an intersection and then we were on what was the old 500 but that we turned North. I didn't know how far north we went and if there were any other turns. But, we did turn off onto a dirt or clay road that went back into the woods - to a clearing. I told about his sitting there and saying that it must have been another road he missed. But then he looks around and decides he is in the right place. This was just a large circle in the woods. He points to our right and tells me there used to be a shed there and that one time he buried something behind it. Then he tells me there used to be a tower there (I assumed fire tower because we are in the woods). He points to an area and shows me where the tree line is lower and told me there used to be a logging road that went all the way to the tracks and you could see the tower light for miles. This site is a long ways north from the area of the hill or Mt. Until I went out there in Oct of 2010 I thought this was closer to the area of the power lines and the hill, but driving this area I realized there was more distance. This is where I got turned around and with no mapI did the best I could trying to describe to you an other what he showed me. At that time all I knew was that when we left this wooded area that he said if we continue on this road we go to Battleground Lake and a gravel pit....but we were not going there. He mentions a road that would go to Yacolt and told me about the tracks up thru there. After the my recent trip in 2010 I now know that he had taken me much further North than I had thought. Why because we made a pit stop in Heisson...just as did. When I walked into that place I was lost and upset, but realized I had been there before. I didn't remember this until I was there. I did NOT know until 2010 that Heisson was NOT a town just a store and P.O. I now know we were N. of the Lake and the gravel pit. when he made the comment about continuing on that road we would go to Hockinson but we were going South and not North as I had thought when I was talking to you with NO map of the area. He had done a loop. The next thing I remembered was being in a little area below Battleground (when I speak of Battleground it is not the Battleground of today), but the OLD Battleground town. This is when we made a turn West around Scottons Corner and went to Meadow Glade and the VOR. Then we head on toward 500 again and after we get on 500 he points to my right and tells me about Dollar Corner and mentions the new hwy and then we head North up I-5. I do not remember talking about a bunch of antennaes. I did mention that noted a lot of signal towers - is that what you call an antennae? Realize that I had NO maps of the area - I was going from memory. A trip in which I was NOT driving and therefore the concept of distance is distorted. Time and Space become condense when one remembers something they did ONE time in their life many yrs ago. I myself did NOT realize this until I was the one behind the wheel of a car in the same area. I do NOT know how I did this - NO one Knows - I can bearly make a trip 25 miles to see the Dr or to get tests at the hospital, but I did this trip all by myself. I have never driven in mountains or over steep hills (I did not learn to drive until I was 20 yrs old and living in FL and pregnant with my 1st child). All of my driving has been on flat land. All I could tell you was fragments of my memory. These fragments were without time and space . Even when I got a map I didn't GET it - the time and space thing. Jerry how have you assisted me? I told you about a small Mt/ or hill in Washougal North of Lake LaCames and you told me it did NOT exist. Even when I told you about it a couple of months ago after I got back from WA this last time. What did you tell me at that time? You didn't want to talk about it...and I wanted to know why you lied to me about this and I told you the name of the man who lived at the foot of "hill". You REFUSED to discuss it on the phone. This was the "hill" or "little Mt" I described to you in 1997 that had the curvy road and at the top was an area that had wire fencing around it and an old wooden gate. Inside of the fenced area was large boulders that made it look like a cemetry. I kept thinking it could may have been an old homestead, but didn't understand why they didn't remove all the boulders. There were large old trees that looked like they were dead. You mentioned your wife's family owning property there and you also told me there was a large shopping center there now...by the way I found the shopping center and that is a LONG ways from this "hill" or "little Mt". This was the hill or MT from which Duane pointed to an area and mentioned the power lines stating "you could walk for miles before all the undergrowth" and then in the other direction told me about the power lines converging with the pipelines and that "you could walk all the way to the Columbia from there". He point back at the direction from which we had come and talked about the creek or tributary that went back to the body of water. The body of water I found out was Lake LaCames. The body of water you claimed Duane had turned me around and that I was back on the Columbia even though I insisted I knew we were NOT on the Columbia. That body of water was Lake LaCames which I would not have found had it not have been for the Angel Udell...and this was after the camera crew had left. We have already covered this before. Why keep denying any knowledge of this? Anyone who has listened to me for yrs - knows this story has NEVER changed and I found it and you said it did NOT exist....since 1997 you have told me it did NOT exist and you refused to discuss it on the phone after I got back from my 2010 WA trip. WHY? It no longer looks the way it used to, but it was still there and there is NO WAY you could NOT have know since day one I was talking about the Lake LaCames area. Larry told me in our only converstaion that he acknowledged that there was not 100% certainty the DNA material they extracted from the tie-pin was Cooper's. BULL! Bruce, this is the post Jerry was referring to and there is no other post he could have been referencing...Jerry does not know who he is talking to most of the time and all anyone has to do is make any reference that places any logic into this case or show any reference to Weber and JERRY is ALL OVER IT. His only objective in the thread is to bash Weber if anything is remotely said that might point to Weber still being a suspect. His mission is to silence me and any thing on Weber just like a man who promoted Coffelt was silenced..." How in the world did you derive that I am doing a book? That is your own conclusion - are you sure that it is not you having someone write a book about your search? The Mesker Maps are NOT available on line nor in the library - only in the county records. Why I was asking for local help. The old permits are NOT on line nor are the buildings that were destroyed in any flood or by other means. This can only be done by someone diligenty searching these records which have been archived. That takes time and money. If the FBI did this in 1980 or shortly after the money find, there will be NO need to repeat it. It is my understanding the FBI did NOT do this specific kind or research. This should have been one of the first things the FBI should have done right after the money find. Instead this has been allowed to continue on and on creating the "mystery" of the money find...rather than to look for logical explanations. If I wanted to write a book the opportunities of writers appeared right off the bat - but, I also felt there were enough "Cooper Fiction Books" on the market. Put your indifference with me in a box for awhile and the mystery of the money might be solve and NO it will NOT prove Weber was Cooper. If you truely want to be a part of the discovery put your indifferences toward me aside and work toward solutions never before explored. The current mode of research by the FBI did not produce results so it is time to try something else. Old papers and old documents kept in wooden boxes - have been know to have holes in them. Perhaps some kind of termite/ant or something in that family. Moths eat holes in clothes and linens. These holes are small so what could do that - dry or wet or damp or damp/dry repeatedly. Lot of dampness would cause mold - and I haven't seen reports that indicate mole or the presence of. I think they are concentrating too much on the fact the money was found on the river bank...think about where and how the money may have been stored if the money had only been in the water for a few months, wks or even days. The concentration should be put on how the money was stored be it dry land or in the banks of the river for awhile within a container. I do not feel that container had been in the water for 8 yrs. Maybe it was an old house that was taken out by flooding waters withing the yrs prior to the money being found in 1980? Maybe it was buried at the base of a mature tree that was pulled out to build a home on the river? Maybe it was dislodge with heavy equipment that came in to clear land near the river to build houses. What could it have been stored in (forget the canvas bag for the time being) - maybe this would be a more productive way to figure out what those hole are and how long the money was actually in the water. Wonder if the FBI checked out all the building permits issued for clearing and building on the river from Washougal to Tena's Bar? I frankly believe it was between the airport and the I-5 bridge. I don't think ALL of it was buried there. I think part of it was taken to another location and stored in a different manner. The bank BAG was NOT left with the money. I cannot get out of my head "bucket" and it was NOT a milk can! This is because of something Duane said after he was on the morphine and I just discounted it as nothing more than the morphine....this was the day after his "I'm Dan Cooper" confession and at which time there had been NO morphine or any drug administered that would cause him to be delusional.. Please note to Jerry that I am in no way telling a "story" here - just trying to get some help in exploring the possibilities of the money storage prior to it being found on Tena's bar. Yes, I do base these opinions on the trip and things Duane said and things he did....but, they should NOT be discounted, because WHAT IF - Jo just happens to be right. It still would not make Weber Cooper - but, maybe solve a lot of the mystery surrounding the found money and how it was stored prior to being in the water. You will have to admit that my mentioning John Day in Oregon near Bend and your going there about 4 wks later - sounds FISHY! Perhaps co-incidence, but still very FISHY. Worth mentioning just to see how you react. The ladies going to the library and finding the article was NOT a lie. Perhaps you need to be VERY careful how you use that word. One can misunderstand or NOT relate their information in a manner that others grasp....just as you did with your "story" about the river and the currents. Does not mean you are lieing - but, unable to communicate what you are trying to tell someone over the phone or in an email as you did above and the other person's understanding or interpretation of what you are trying to relay. Below was part of the wish list that I posted: Note I mention John Day and then 4 wks later Jerry goes to John Day near Bend, OR. There was a news article that was in the Library about the boat missing from it moorings at the Marina. This came up missing after Jerry claimed it was not there. Yet, 2 women had gone to the library and found that article for me prior to my mentioning it to Jerry - the article "Poofed". Not all the papers had been microfished at that time. All I can attest to is the places Duane Weber took me to and the things he told me and that other parties have deliberately denied these places existed. WHY? I never made any of this up - and I will swear this before the Creator. The other things are the documents left behind and others acquired myself or acquired by others on my behalf. I have tried NOT to fill in the blank spaces - that is the job of the FBI. Problem with this they could NOT even get his background straight and it was there for the asking.
